Abstract: The invention relates to a helmet comprising at least one movable visor and a shell to protect the head of the wearer, characterized in that the visor is attached to a support connected to the outer surface of the shell by a rotary mechanism making it possible to move the visor around the shell, the rotary mechanism consisting of a single mechanical connection positioned substantially at the top of the shell. The invention is designed particularly for the military aviation field and also applies to helmets comprising several visors.

The welding mask includes a welding face to cover the user's face, the welding face having a transparent window, a wearing band to be worn on the user's hair, the wearing band being coupled to the welding face such that the welding face is rotated upward/downward, a liquid crystal display (LCD) shielding goggle including an LCD panel mounted at the rear of the transparent window of the welding face to protect the user's eyes from strong injurious light rays generated during welding, and a manipulation unit disposed spaced apart from the lower end of the LCD shielding goggle, the manipulation unit serving to detect injurious light rays generated during welding and operate the LCD panel accordingly.

In one preferred embodiment, the laminate structure includes a first constraining layer that is fabricated from a metallic material, such as stainless steel. A second constraining layer that is appreciably thicker than the first is also included. The second constraining layer is fabricated from a different metallic material, such as low-carbon cold rolled steel. An adhesive layer spans between and rigidly bonds the first and second constraining layers. The first and second constraining layers have a thickness ratio, a yield strength ratio, and a springback ratio that are collectively optimized such that the laminate structure can be formed, preferably through a deep drawing operation, to define one or more depressions/basins of a predetermined depth without delaminating or cracking. The adhesion strength of the adhesive layer is also engineered to prevent separation of the two constraining layers.

Abstract: Provided is a system and method for increasing a patient's satisfaction with a care facility. The system includes a computer terminal, user interface, and network, which may improve bed-ridden patients' convalescence experiences by providing them with educational and informational materials, communication capabilities, and entertainment materials. The system also may provide feedback to the care facility by collecting data from the patients. The computer terminal may be mounted onto a patient's bedrail using an adjustable mount, examples of which are disclosed herein.

The driving device is coupled to the control valve to blow air into the inflatable pad. The controller is coupled to the control valve for controlling the internal pressure at a predetermined pressure. Responsive to the present of a user, the controller deflates the inflatable pad within a deflation period and records the internal pressure during the deflation period. A characteristic curve is obtained representing the variation of the internal pressure corresponding to the user and an appropriate pressure is determined based on the characteristic curve.
