These lateral portions are appointed to minimize the appearance of the waistline to optimally provide an hourglass shape. The lateral portions are preferably constructed having a substantially elongated oval shape, and are preferably composed of a substantially non-stretching material. These lateral portions provide support for the lateral abdominal wall of the abdominal region and back of the wearer where “love handles” and thick waists sometimes develop. Advantageously, the shirt may be worn as an undershirt or as outerwear to discretely minimize the wearer's waistline.

Abstract: The present invention provides a shoulder pad for use in a contact sport, such as football, hockey or lacrosse, that is formed from a consolidated polymer fiber composite material, such as polypropylene tape yarn that reduces the overall weight of the shoulder pad. The shoulder pad includes a pair of arch members, each having an upper portion, a front portion depending from the upper portion, and a rear portion depending from the upper portion. The shoulder pad further includes at least one side pad assembly having an epaulet and a shoulder cap, wherein the shoulder cap overlies the wearer's shoulder region and the epaulet overlies both the arch member and the shoulder cap. The side pad assembly is operably secured to the body arch member by a fastening assembly that includes a flexible single band. Abstract: A walk-in bathtub is disclosed with a minimal entry threshold height that provides enhanced convenience and safety for physically challenged and/or elderly users. The walk-in bathtub couples directly to a floor drain and does not include water jets or plumbing beneath the tub, thereby allowing the bottom of the tub to rest directly on the floor without being supported by a metal frame. The entry threshold height is less than four inches, preferably less than three inches, and more preferably less than two inches above the floor. The distribution of the tub weight over the floor surface makes it safer to use on weak or compromised floors. The reduced height of the tub allows it to easily pass through conventional doorways, and the reduced weight of the tub allows it to be easily carried and installed.

The enzyme preparation for scouring and bleaching cotton fabric is compounded from cutinase, alkaline pectase, alkaline xylanase, alkaline cellulose, and carbohydrate oxidase. The method includes: scouring the cotton fabric by adding the composite enzyme preparation, glucose, oxidation bleaching stabilizer RB-3, penetrant JFC, and Triton X-100 in a treating bath at 55-70° C. and pH 8-10, and then bleaching the cotton fabric for 30 min by directly adding tetraacetyl ethylenediamine (TAED) in the scouring bath to activate hydrogen peroxide. After being treated by the method of the present invention, the cotton fabric has high impurity removal ratio, favorable wettability, and high whiteness.

In an embodiment, the characteristic that is changed can be at least one of stain and flash for wrinkle resistance. The material can be Permafresh material. The material can bind to the fabric, and intends to be maintained within the fabric for the life of the fabric. After pretreatment, the pretreated material is processed by a laser which intends to change the look of the material without undesirably damaging the material. The treatment may make the treatment by lasers more consistent and allow the lazed graphic to maintain its quality after repeated washings and wearing.
