Abstract: There is provided a protective helmet assembly that includes a shell, a suspension band, and an adjustable headband and a crown pad. The shell is constructed from at least PARA-ARAMID to provide ballistic protection. The adjustable headband and the crown pad each have a plurality of screw less connectors for directly securing the adjustable headband and the crown pad to the suspension band without screws. A nape pad subassembly is adjustably coupled to the shell via rear fasteners. A chin strap subassembly is adjustably coupled between the front fasteners and the nape pad subassembly by a multi-connection point coupling.

Abstract: An item of clothing for personal air-conditioning which has at least one three-dimensional air-flow guiding structure. The air-flow guiding structure is an air-impermeable woven spacing fabric. At least one pocket exists to accommodate an air-pumping device. The pocket interior is connected to the structure which allows for an air-flow capable of being supplied by the air-pumping device into the structure or out of the structure and connected to the environment allowing air to be drawn from or expelled into the environment.

Abstract: Methods are described for forming unitary fabric elements for use in engineered thermal fabric articles, including, but not limited to, thermal fabric garments, thermal fabric home textiles, and thermal fabric upholstery covers, and for forming these engineered thermal fabric articles, having predetermined discrete regions of contrasting insulative capacity positioned about the thermal fabric article in correlation to insulative requirements of a user's body. In one implementation, loop yarn in first regions is formed to a first pile height, and loop yarn in other regions is formed to another, different, relatively greater pile height.

Abstract: A garment comprises a body fabric having a durable water-repellent finish that substantially resists water entry pressure. At least one vent is provided in an opening in the body fabric. The vent comprises an exterior layer, an interior layer, and a spacer layer positioned between the interior layer and the exterior layer. The exterior layer and the interior layer include a durable water repellent finish that does not substantially resist water entry pressure. The spacer includes a plurality of air passages and separates the interior layer and the exterior layer such that the interior layer does not contact the exterior layer within the vent.

Abstract: A hospital gown having strategically positioned slits and fitted fasteners along the front, back and sides to allow preferential closing of the open seams and securing sensor connected leads or intravenous tubing to the patient. The hospital gown has a rear-opened garment, fasteners for closing the shoulder and sleeves sections, rear fasteners, plurality of strategically positioned slits for passing tubes and wire and plurality of pockets. The hospital gown may comprise a side-opened garment, shoulder fasteners, side fasteners, plurality of slits for passing tubes and wire and plurality of pockets. The preferred and alternative embodiments of the hospital gown feature one or more hook-and-loop strips or snaps strategically placed at the front, sides and, or back of the hospital gown.

Abstract: An article of apparel may include a torso region with a front area, a back area, and a pair of side areas. At least a portion of each of the side areas are formed from a material with (a) a first air permeability when unexposed to water and (b) a second air permeability when exposed to water. The first air permeability may be less than 279 cm3/second per cm2 measured in accordance with ASTM D 737, and the second air permeability may be greater than 279 cm3/second per cm2 measured in accordance with ASTM D 737. In some configurations, at least a portion of the back area may be formed from the material. The article of apparel may be a shirt, and the article of apparel may include arm regions that extend outward from the torso region.

The band has two circumferential segments, each segment being threaded through the channel. Each segment of the band is capable of sliding within the channel. The band is without a clasp on the back outer surface of the knot. The necktie has an elastic textile fabric, within the knot, that is capable of restraining the motion of the band.

Abstract: The invention relates to an adjustable glove that enables the user's thumb and other fingers to interact and communicate with electronic devices while wearing the glove. The inventive glove has a thumb and finger pouch portion made of a thin, tactile material, and a body portion made up of thicker insulated material which covers the balance of the user's hand. The pouch forms a skin tight fit on the thumb and fingers through an adjustable band connected to the pouch and removably attachable to non-pouch portions of the glove, such as in the vicinity of the basilar joint for the pouch covering the thumb.

Abstract: A glove for gardening and other general utility uses is provided comprising a palm portion configured to substantially cover a user's palm and palm side surface of the user's fingers and thumb, and a back portion configured to substantially cover the back of a user's hand and back surface of the user's fingers and thumb. One or more gripping portions are provided on the palm portion, with the back portion and the gripping portion comprising the same design pattern. Alternatively, the back portion and the gripping portions may comprise different design patterns. The design pattern or patterns are intended to be aesthetically pleasing, with the pattern on the gripping portions also aiding in the functionality of the glove by improving gripping and dexterity.

The person's hair can thus be treated in a hands-free manner while wearing the baseball cap, where such treatment remains inconspicuous and unknown to others.

The base and surrounding sidewall define an interior being operational to loosely receive the end portion of the support structure associated with the garment such as a bra underwire. The support device also includes a flange extending from the surrounding sidewall which is positioned to be oppositely disposed of the interior, wherein the flange is adapted to attach to the garment.

A single self-contained apparatus, located completely within the toilet tank, detects and prevents a toilet overflow and/or conserves water by conditionally interfering with or overriding the normal operation of a toilet tank fill valve to prevent a further flush. Exemplary illustrative non-limiting steps include removing the toilet tank lid to provide access to said toilet tank fill valve within the tank, manually snapping an assembly onto said fill valve protective cap, and automatically and conditionally actuating said assembly to cause the assembly to selectively interfere with or override the operation of said toilet tank fill valve. An exemplary illustrative non-limiting device comprises an attaching structure for manual attachment to said fill valve cap, and a control mechanism supported by said attaching structure.

The toilet includes a toilet bowl having a depression; a refuse pipe passing through the toilet bowl and connected to the depression, thus guiding the discharge of excrement from the depression; a refuse bowl seated in the depression and temporarily holding the excrement, and discharging the excrement into the refuse pipe when it is rotated; a rotating device for rotating the refuse bowl; and a cyclone-type sewage purifier for executing purification treatment using a vortex generated by descent of the excrement and waste water discharged from the refuse pipe and a waste water pipe.

Because sterilizing water is dispensed in the form of fine particles with a relatively large surface area, the sterilizing water is brought into contact with a larger area of an inner wall of a toilet, so a sterilizing effect can be enhanced with a small quantity of sterilizing water.

The translation of the barrier, support bracket and shuttle along the channel, and the orientation of the barrier can be adjusted and locked in place by a single knobbed tightening screw. A neck support is secured over a median portion of the yoke. The device may be used by placing one or more of the padded barriers against the shoulders, hips, feet or the head of a patient lying in the Trendelenburg or other tilted position on an operating table in order to prevent gravity-induced shift of the body.

The pressure in the footing chamber can be reduced, such that hydrostatic pressure and the atmospheric pressure aids in embedding the footing. Optionally, a vibrating apparatus attaches to the structure to facilitate embedding. The apparatus may also enable the structure to be dislodged after installation, by providing a high pressure air source to the valve. The structure may be installed by towing it to location, positioning it on the waterway bed, and applying a suction to the valve.

The head includes a housing having a first set of bristles extending outwardly from a first side and a second set of bristles extending outwardly from a second side. The first and second sets of bristles are mounted such that they are movable in response to rotation of a camshaft in the head. Some of bristles on each side of the head may be linearly pulsed toward and away from the housing substantially orthogonally to a longitudinal axis of the head. Additionally, some of the bristles on each side of the head may be rotated about a horizontal axis that is orthogonal to the longitudinal axis.
