Abstract: A hydraulic/magnetic engine, comprising an engine assembly. Crankcase means are affixed within the engine assembly, and crankshaft means are positioned in the crankcase means. Cylinder means comprise at least two first cylinders being encased in the engine assembly and each including a first piston, at least two second pistons, and an electro-magnetic third piston. A hydraulic system has a hydraulic fluid chamber. First electro-magnetic means generates a first electromotive force, wherein switching magnetic polarity between a first and second openings forces a first piston, at least two second pistons, and an electro-magnetic third piston to move upward and downward within their respective cylinders. Thus, rotating the crankshaft means in a predetermined direction after an initial activation of the crankshaft means by applying a short period of an electrical force. The first electro-magnetic means is within the engine assembly.

Abstract: An oil mist separator includes a body inside which a filtering chamber is formed for a filtering unit made up with several centrifugal dust collectors. With an air intake unit, the outside oil mist is sent into the filtering chamber. Then, the centrifugal dust collectors are used to cause a spiral airstream. With a centrifugal force caused by the spiral airstream, the oil mist is made to separate from the air. Next, the filtered air of zero pollution is vented to the atmosphere, and the separated oil mist is collected and recycled. Thus, the oil mist may be separated and the recycled oil mist may be made into a low-level oil product or a release agent used in the building industry for achievement of the effect of environmental protection.

Abstract: A ground coffee extraction apparatus has a base to which a filter cup loaded with ground coffee is assembled from below. A delivery system pumps cool water from a cool water tank into the extraction apparatus. The cool water exerts a downward force greater than a resilient force of resilient elements of the extraction apparatus to drive a sliding element and a downward pressing element downward. Consequently, an O-ring seals a gap between the downward pressing element and the filter cup while the downward force is evenly applied to the ground coffee in the filter cup, thereby sealing and compacting the ground coffee hydraulically. After coffee is extracted, the cool water is drawn back into the cool water tank so that the sliding element and the downward pressing element are moved upward to unseal the filter cup. Hence, the automatic extraction apparatus enables rapid, uniform, and standardized sealing and compacting.

Abstract: An executive/clerical type office desk embodying a fully contained electromechanical system for elevating and lowering the desktop, between a user's seating position and a full standing position. Three telescoping stanchions support and control the desktop height from a standard-desk height to an upper height of about 44 inches. The desktop rest directly on three poles sliding inside the telescoping support stanchions. The sliding poles are lifted and lowered by cables looped-under pulleys mounted in bottom of said poles, and are drawn up and released by an electric-motor-driven cable winch. Anti-friction treatments are in place between the inner sliding members and the supporting stanchions. By said cables looping under pulleys, installed in the bottom of each inner telescoping member, and anchoring atop the telescoping stanchions a lifting mechanical advantage of two is obtained. The user operates a three position electrical switch to raise and lower the desktop.

The moats surround a table or serving plate for presenting dessert. The moats are separated by a short band about the same width as the moats. By spacing the moats closely apart, the ants rejects a path across the second moat, thereby preventing the ants from reaching the dessert.

Abstract: A steerable wing-type sail system for a wind powered craft. The system includes first and second secondary airfoils and that are spaced outwardly to the sides of the plane of the main wing, and that are positioned rearwardly of the trailing edge of the wing. The secondary airfoils are selectively pivotable so as to steer the main wing in one direction or the other. The main wing is also provided with a pivoting flap at its trailing edge, which pivots simultaneously with and in the same direction as the secondary airfoils. The secondary airfoils are carried on elongate horizontal booms mounted near the mid-span height of the main wing. The secondary airfoils pivot about vertical axes at the distal ends of the booms, and are operated by control cables that are retracted and paid out by linear actuators or similar mechanisms. The craft may be multi-hull vessel, such as a catamaran.

The swirl generator mounting region is disposed in front of a central axis of the rudder and behind a vertical line spaced from the central axis by a distance that is 0.2 times the length of the vehicle. The swirl creating wedge is inclined with respect to a waterline by an angle (?1) of 13°-45°. The pre-swirl generator can produce a flow guiding effect that enhances propulsive efficiency of the marine vehicle.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein generally relate to an HVPE chamber. The chamber may have two separate precursor sources coupled thereto to permit two separate layers to be deposited. For example, a gallium source and a separate aluminum source may be coupled to the processing chamber to permit gallium nitride and aluminum nitride to be separately deposited onto a substrate in the same processing chamber. The nitrogen may be introduced to the processing chamber at a separate location from the gallium and the aluminum and at a lower temperature. The different temperatures causes the gases to mix together, react and deposit on the substrate with little or no deposition on the chamber walls.
