Abstract: A system, in certain embodiments, includes a spray device including a first liquid passage configured to flow a first liquid in a generally downstream direction toward a spray tip. The spray device also includes a second liquid passage configured to flow a second liquid in a generally upstream direction such that the second liquid impinges upon the first liquid at an outlet to the second liquid passage. The upstream direction is substantially opposite from the downstream direction.

Abstract: The invention relates to a nozzle that has direct compressed air injection into the nozzle. The injection of compressed air directly into the nozzle thereby eliminates the need for additional means by any separate apparatus to collect the material prior to discharge of the material. The compressed air in the nozzle results in the material being drawn into the nozzle's hollow rod upstream inlet end and simultaneously discharged through the chamber's downstream outlet end through the attached female end of the external hollow rod. The invention can be used for liquid, slurry or dry material and can be immediately switched from one type of material to another without making any adaptations or changes to the invention.

Abstract: A showerhead with multiple modes of operation may include a first turbine and a second turbine, each disposed within a unique flow channel. The first and second turbines may interrupt water flow through their respective flow channels, thereby providing at least one pulsating water spray emanating from the showerhead. The showerhead may include a third flow channel having no turbine disposed therein, such that water flowing through the third flow channel is not interrupted and thus emitted from the showerhead as a drenching spray.

Abstract: A fuel injection valve with reduced adhesion of deposits to a fuel injecting portion and superior in durability is provided. Also provided is a method for machining multi-orifice type fuel injecting portions easily, less expensively, in good surface roughness, in high productivity, and with few variations in shape, accuracy and surface roughness, using inexpensive equipment. The surface roughness of fuel injecting portions comprising orifices and apertures is made Rz 2 ?m or less. Apertures are formed by press working so as to each have a plastic-worked surface of Rz 0.2 ?m or less in surface roughness and then orifices are formed in the bottoms of the apertures so as to have a plastic-worked surface of Rz 0.2 ?m or less in surface roughness. Further, when abrasion resistance of the nozzle is required, the fuel injecting portions are finished to a surface roughness of Rz 2 ?m by quenching.
