Abstract: There is disclosed a connector and method for terminating a cable comprised twisted pairs of conductors. In one aspect of the invention the connector comprises a wire lead guide for arranging the twisted pairs of conductors and a plurality of piercing contacts which interconnect with respective ones of the twisted pairs of conductors when the wire guide is secured to the module. In a further aspect of the invention the wire lead guide ensures that the spacing between the conductors of a particular twisted pair is maintained, thereby improving the performance of the subsequent assembly.

The jaws are abuttable with the notches facing one another to encompass the battery post. A pair of spaced apart bolts are provided with each bolt passing through the jaw transverse to the battery post and each bolt includes a head on one end thereof and a nut on the other end thereof for tightening jaws against the battery post. This enables the bolt to attach the cables to the jaws in a parallel relationship with respect to one another.

The method includes detecting thrust and steering commands from an operating device which is connected to a control unit, and controlling the drive arrangement based on detected commands from the operating device for obtaining a desired course of travel of the watercraft, wherein a force is generated which acts towards a defined position on the watercraft. The method furthermore includes determining the speed of the watercraft and adapting the position on which the force from the drive arrangement acts as a function of at least the speed and as a function of the influence of the position of the center of pressure of the watercraft, thereby maintaining the desired course of travel. The hydraulic thruster incorporates a lower unit housing tiltably attached to a lower unit mounting tube attached to a base, a tube whose upper end is attached through the lower unit housing, and a shaft slidably disposed within the tube. A substantial length of tube extends downwards from the lower unit housing, thus providing support for the shaft. An actuator is disclosed which extends and retracts the shaft relative to the tube. A steering clamp is releasably attached to an end of the shaft which protrudes through the top of the lower unit housing. A steering clamp key traveling in a shaft keyway, or a shaft key in combination with a steering clamp keyway, help maintain constant the angular orientation between the steering clamp and the shaft. A steering gear meshing with a steering assembly, or an actuator driving a tie rod, provide steering.

Abstract: An organic light emitting display (OLED) pixel structure and a method for manufacturing the same, which can be applied for improving the resolution of an OLED without significantly changing the current OLED manufacturing process. With a novel pixel arrangement and circuit layout, an organic light emitting material is evaporated onto a substrate through a mask and thus a plurality of sub-pixels are formed simultaneously while enabling each sub-pixel to correspond to different pixels. Thereby, the area of each sub-pixel is reduced and the resolution of a display is increased.

An emission source is made by providing a second substrate, coating the second substrate with a transparent electrode film of titanium nitride and coating the transparent electrode film with a silicon quantum dot fluorescent film comprising silicon quantum dots. A pulsed high-voltage source is provided between the excitation source and the emission source to generate a pulsed field-effect electric field to cause the nanometer discharging elements to release electrons and accelerate the electrons to excite the silicon quantum dots to emit pulsed visible light.

Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed for rapidly joining a first glass substrate to a second glass substrate. The first glass substrate and second glass substrates are separated by a peripheral glass spacer or frame. The glass frame is sandwiched between the first and second substrates. A layer of glass frit is placed on the top and bottom surfaces of the frame or about the top and bottom peripheral edges of the substrates in contact with the frame. Heat is then applied substantially solely to the periphery of the substrates about the frame to cause the frit to melt thereby securing the top substrate to the bottom substrate.

Air is blown from inside the shirring mandrel at a pressure that forces at least some areas of the carrier casing between the holes of the net to form protruding bulges, and the net/carrier casing combination is shined.

Abstract: A data transmission system includes: a data generation device generating data in each time slot; a wireless access device; a proxy device interconnecting the data generation device and the wireless access device via wired network; and a mobile device connected to the wireless access device via wireless network and receiving the generated data. The proxy device includes in a packet the generated data in each time slot or the difference of the generated data between each time slot and a reference time slot associated therewith to generate a packetized data in accordance with data loss rate and data transmission delay in the wireless network and sends the packetized data to the wireless access device. The wireless access device determines an upper limit of retransmissions of the packetized data for the mobile device in accordance with the data loss rate and the data transmission delay in the wireless network.
