  • Patent number: 7930791
Abstract: An improved deck mop to retain yarn comprising an elongated rod having an upper section and a lower section. An exterior rotatable sleeve threadedly surrounds the lower section which includes an interior movable piston which is further connected to a stationary spring. The lower section at its bottom end is connected to a first and second rotatable and removable clamp member comprising a respective bottom brush and bottom scrubber for cleaning. The mop through a respective clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation of the sleeve controls a respective closing and opening movement of two clamp members to thereby respectively hold or release a mop yarn, wherein the closing movement further results in contracting the spring so that the reduced spring stores a compression force having sufficient power to enable it to push the clamp members rotatably apart when the sleeve is rotated in the counter-clockwise direction.

  • Patent number: 7930799
Abstract: A surface-treating appliance, such as a vacuum cleaner, includes a main body housing a component such as a post-motor filter. A door provides access to the filter. The door is connected to the main body by a hinge arranged to allow the door to pivot about the hinge's rotational axis and to move axially as the door is moved between closed and open positions. The provision of a hinge that can move along its rotational axis permits the door to move laterally as it opens, thereby clearing adjacent parts of the appliance, such as the spine. This allows an appliance to be manufactured that permits the user to access components housed inside of it, but is compact. Preferably, the hinge includes a cam arrangement, so that the door automatically moves away from adjacent parts of the appliance as it moves from the closed position to an open position.

  • Patent number: 7930800
Abstract: The flange apparatus provides a positive seal for an appliance tube which enters a junction box of a travel trailer, motor home, or the like. The union of the apparatus is fitted coplanarly to the exterior wall of the junction box. The first and second segment overlap the opening in the junction box, further ensuring a complete seal. The second flat bottom of the second segment abuts the frame of the box exterior wall, further ensuring a complete seal. The orifice of the apparatus is provided in more than one size. Each size of the apparatus orifice conforms to a particular appliance tube size, further ensuring a complete seal per application. The slot of the apparatus aids in insertion of the apparatus into the exterior wall and in the insertion of the tube into the apparatus, then collapses upon itself to fully seal.

  • Patent number: 7930807
Abstract: The present invention is a holding device for a rope, cable, wire and the like hereafter referred to as rope and more particularly a sliding cam rope cleat comprised of a holding device, a slideable cam member controlled by a sliding handle and two passageways therethrough for the rope member. While the sliding handle is engaged in the open position, the cam member will not be resident in the first passageway and a rope member may be freely inserted and drawn. However once the sliding handle is engaged in the clamping position, the cam member will partially obstruct the first passageway and the tapered serrated bottom of the cam member will engagingly grip and secure the inserted rope member. Subsequently, the holding device provides for a quick release of the secured rope member by returning the sliding member to its first open position thereby disengaging the tapered serrated cam member for the inserted rope member.

Abstract: A MCM system board uses a stiffener arrangement to enhance mechanical, thermo and electrical properties by incorporating an LGA compression connector in a computer system. The present designs of large scale computing systems (LSCS) in IBM use a MCM that is attached to a system board and held together by a stiffening frame. Due to the nature of the manufacturing of the system board, there can be significant gaps formed in the mounting area of the MCM between the board and the stiffener. A method is described that not only fills the void, it also, in addition promotes thermo conduction of excess heat away from the MCM and at the same time promotes enhanced electrical properties of the LGA connections of the MCM to the system board.

Abstract: A conductive member for a non-contact type data carrier such as a wireless tag is simply and cheaply manufactured. A method for manufacturing a conductive member for a non-contact type data carrier comprises: a printing process during which, while a base material (4) is run, a bonding agent layer (5) is printed in a predetermined pattern on the surface thereof, and is dried; a bonding process during which a conductive layer (6) is laminated on the surface of the bonding agent layer (5) for heating and bonding; a punching process during which the conductive layer (6) is punched in the above-described pattern on the base material (4); and a separating process during which an unnecessary portion (6b) of the conductive layer (6) is separated from the base material (4). Accordingly, a conventional multilayered laminated sheet is not required to realize reduction in the material.

  • Patent number: 7930825
Abstract: A method for reducing “blow-out” of annular welds for attaching press-fit components in a fuel injector assembly is disclosed. The method employs a multi-step welding procedure whereby a first annular weld bead that corresponds to less than 360° of rotation of the assembly about a longitudinal axis leaves a radial void that is thereafter sealed with a second annular weld bead. In an alternative embodiment, a relief region is formed on radially-facing surfaces of the components, the relief region being disposed adjacent to a press-fit region. A sealed gap is thereby formed in the relief region between the welds and the press-fit region. The sealed gap provides a further means for expansion of trapped gases that could otherwise “blow out” the liquid weld bead.

Abstract: When an outer circumference of a clamping portion 25 and an outer circumference of a circular outer circumference 26 are restrained by a die 6 while inserting a non-circular punch 5 into a circular hole 28, paddings 27, 27 are pressed by a semi-circular inner circumference of the die 6 to thereby be forced into interior of the circular hole 28. The volume of the paddings 27, 27 is set to be substantially the same as a volume obtained by subtracting the volume of a non-circular hole 23 in an extension shaft 2 from the volume of the circular hole 28. The circular hole 28 is deformed, and the paddings 27, 27 forced into the circular hole 28 abut with inclined planes 52, 52 of the punch 5, whereby the non-circular hole 23 is formed in the extension shaft 2.

Abstract: A compact utility knife includes a blade holder slidably connected to a handle. A trapezoidal utility blade detachably mounts to the blade holder via a blade lock mechanism. A slide lock mechanism selectively retains the blade holder in its extended or retracted position relative to the handle. When the blade holder is extended, the blade holder and a majority of the blade extend forwardly of a forwardmost point of the handle. Extending the blade holder significantly increases an overall length of the knife such that the knife is comfortable to use when in the extended position and longitudinally compact when in the retracted position. The knife includes a blade lock mechanism. An aperture in the front of the handle creates a gap between the blade and the handle to discourage debris on the blade from transferring to the handle when the blade is retracted.

Abstract: The invention relates to a scraper blade assembly structure. The scraper includes a stem for hand grip and a scraping section in the front. The scraping section includes a jaw plate, a blade and a fastening button. The jaw plate extends backward to form an arm. The jaw plate is attached to the inside of the jaw plate groove of the scraping section by a fastener that also serves as a lever pivot for swinging back and forth. When a fastening button goes into the inside of the jaw plate of the scraping section, it pushes the inner side of the arm of the jaw plate, and so as to generate a great holding power for the front of the jaw plate. Further, the fastening button can be a handle protruding from one side of the scraping section.
