Abstract: The present invention relates to a straight edge device for use in conjunction with power tools such as radial saws, or table saws. The present invention is used for cutting an uneven edge of a board. The straight edge device includes a one piece board having a protuberance projecting from its lower surface that engages a groove of the table saw. The board is placed on the upper surface of the one piece board with the uneven edge hanging over the edges of the one piece board. As the straight edge device is pushed or pulled through the groove of the table saw, the cutting blade straights the uneven edge of the board.

Abstract: A Controlled Unaided Surge and Purge (CUSPS) suppressor for firearms uses the blast and plume characteristics inherent to the ballistic discharge process to develop a new two-step controlled surge and purge system centered around advanced mixer-ejector concepts. The blast surge noise is reduced by controlling the flow expansion, and the flash effects are reduced by controlling inflow and outflow gas purges. In the preferred embodiment, suppressor vent holes are convergently contoured to better reduce the blast surge. Preferably a two-stage supersonic mixer/ejector system, in combination with adjacent vent holes in the suppressor housing and a divergent entrance nozzle, is used to control or eliminate the external Mach disk, while rapidly mixing and diluting the propellant with purged gases. A diffuser downstream of the mixer/ejector system further increases ejector performance and pumping. The pumped gases are used to self-clean and cool the CUSPS suppressor.

Abstract: The invention relates to a press (1) with gripper rails (3) for grasping and relocating workpieces onto a work table (5), the gripper rails (3) being movable in a horizontal plane and vertically by a transfer device (2). The gripper rails (3) are connected to the respective parts (50, 51) of the transfer device (2) by means of gripper rail couplings (14), a locking mechanism (17) with a tie rod (18) being provided, which locks or frees the gripper rail coupling (14). To actuate the locking mechanism (17), an actuating element (19) is provided which displaces the tie rod (18) between a holding position and a releasing position and which can be actuated by the gripper rail coupling (14) being lowered or raised. Furthermore, the locking mechanism (17) has a spring element (34) which holds the tie rod (18) in the holding position.

Abstract: Disclosed and claimed are pellets for a shotgun shell which are covered with a light transmissive coating that contains pigments which photo-luminesce visible light, of selectable wavelength (color), in response to excitation by long wave ultra-violent light (“black light”). The trajectory of such pellets during flight is able to be visualized and captured on camera during night, indoors or under shooting conditions where ambient light is low. When lodged in a target the visibility of the pellets can be enhanced by illumination by black light, thereby facilitating the task of locating shot pellets, for removal from the target, scoring or other purposes. By assigning several shooters shotgun shells having pellets which photo-luminesce a color which is distinctive to each, one is also able, by visual inspection of the pellets lodged in a target, to determine which of said shooters struck a target and other information relating to the accuracy of each shooter's efforts.

The cup is a cylindrical metal structure having a bore. The sheath is a cylindrical end and a conical end and a through hole. The core is a cylindrical structure having conical end and a blunt end. The projectile is assembled by placing the core in the through hole of the sheath and then pressing the sheath into the bore of the cup. The assembled projectile is attached to the cartridge by crimping the cup to the orifice in the end of the cartridge casing after it is filled with the propellant. When the projectile is fired all of the components remain coupled together but break apart upon impact with a target. Because the core has a higher mass than the other components the components separate very easily, the majority of the kinetic energy remains in the core.
