Abstract: The present invention relates to articles and methods for producing non-latex balloons with low surface electrical conductivities and an extended product life. In a preferred embodiment, a multilayer composite film having an exposed metallized layer is coated with an elastomeric sealant layer that increases electrical resistivity of the balloon product to greater than 1.08 Ohms/sq. The invention relates to articles and methods for producing needed bonds and seal strength required to manufacture non latex balloons. The balloons of this invention have an extended product life because they are more resistant to common defects like pin holing and stress cracks than conventional balloon systems.

Abstract: A method for dressing a pair of weld gun tips on a weld gun controlled by a robot is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of: placing an alignment tool in a mounting head of a tip dresser tool, with the alignment tool including a central alignment bore having a diameter corresponding in size to a diameter of the pair of weld gun tips; teaching a robot path to cause the pair of weld gun tips to slide into the central alignment bore while the alignment tool is mounted in the mounting head; removing the alignment tool from the mounting head; inserting a cutter head into the mounting head; using the taught robot path to bring the pair of weld gun tips into contact with the cutter head; and dressing the weld gun tips with the cutter head.

  • Patent number: 7972195
Abstract: In a grinding device, first, an eddy-current-sensor detects a distance from the eddy-current-sensor to an outer peripheral surface of a belt layer while a tire to be retreaded held by a pair of half rims is caused to rotate. Thus, an eccentricity amount and an eccentricity direction of the tire to be retreaded with respect to a device axial center, corresponding to the phase of the tire to be retreaded, can be respectively determined, so position control signals corresponding to the phase, eccentricity amount and eccentricity direction of the tire to be retreaded can be generated. Next, on the basis of the position control signal, a carriage causes a rasp to be moved in a radial direction with respect to the tire to be retreaded along the radial direction whose center is a device axial center, and the rasp grinds a tread surface of the rotating tire to be retreaded.

  • Patent number: 7972204
Abstract: A vehicle door seal venting system is provided for venting air trapped in the seal gap between two or more spaced environmental seals. As the vehicle door transitions to a closed position, the seals engage between the vehicle door and vehicle body door opening, acting to closeout the seal gap. The compression of the seal gap as the door further closes results in pressurization of the trapped air, which then acts to resist closure of the vehicle door, therefore requiring that additional closure force be applied to fully close the door. The vehicle door seal venting system relieves the pressurized air from between the seals without compromising the integrity of the seals or overall noise and sealing performance of the door system.
