Abstract: A laminated core punching apparatus, configured such that a stator-punching press machine that has a molding die performing a partial punching gradually approaches the shape of the stator core piece. There is a punching die to punching out the stator core piece from a strip-form steel plate, and two stator lamination stations. A rotor-punching press machine and a stator-punching press machine are constructed to operate synchronously. An intermediate loop portion capable of causing a strip-form steel plate to hang down in a loop is provided in order to adjust a length of the strip-form steel plate between the two press machines, and a loop guide portion that guides a loop locus of the strip-form steel plate from above so that the strip-form steel plate does not invert is disposed above the intermediate loop portion to be capable of ascending and descending.

Abstract: An MR element includes a first exchange coupling shield layer, an MR stack, and a second exchange coupling shield layer that are arranged in this order from the bottom, and a nonmagnetic layer surrounding the MR stack. The MR stack includes a first free layer, a spacer layer, a second free layer, and a magnetic cap layer that are arranged in this order from the bottom. The magnetization direction of the first free layer is controlled by the first exchange coupling shield layer. The second free layer is magnetically coupled to the second exchange coupling shield layer via the magnetic cap layer for magnetization direction control. In the step of forming the MR stack and the nonmagnetic layer, a protection layer is formed on a layered film that will be the MR stack later, and a mask is then formed on the protection layer. Next, the layered film and the protection layer are etched using the mask and then the nonmagnetic layer is formed. After removal of the mask, the protection layer is removed by wet etching.

Abstract: A contact type measurement device performs measurement with displacement of a probe, while a contact member attached to the probe is in contact with an object to be measured. Data on the relationship of a contact force of the probe to the object to be measured with an angle between the central axis of the probe and the direction of gravity, the amount of displacement of the probe, and a fluid pressure for applying a pushing-out or pulling-in force to the probe is stored in advance and, on the basis of this data, the fluid pressure or the amount of displacement of the probe is controlled to automatically and precisely adjust a fine contact force of the probe to the object to be measured.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved design of tape measures. The Sports Yard Tape is similar in appearance to a traditional tape measure and as such features square-shaped, durable outer casing made of a hard plastic or, in another embodiment, metal material. The measuring blade is internally coiled within this casing, Mylar™-coated for added durability and featuring a metallic anchoring hook at its proximal end. Yet, unique to the Sports Yard Tape and what sets it apart from standard units is found in found in the measurements imprinted on the surface of the tape. While the Sports Yard Tape features standard millimeter, centimeter, inch and feet measurements, most prominently displayed are measurements classified by yards. As such, every thirty-six inches, the designated yardage is clearly imprinted on the surface of the tape.

The example method also involves obtaining a first difference in temperature between a first reference temperature and the first temperature and determining a first compensation value based on the first difference in temperature. In addition, the example method involves compensating a temperature-dependent change of position based on the first compensation value, the first compensation value is additionally determined based on an axis position of the first linear axis.

The actuator is easily sanitized and includes internal elements that are accessible to sanitizing sprays. Abstract: A drier apparatus for removing water from various materials includes a mixer, drying chamber, separator and regenerator and a method for use of the apparatus. The material to be dried is mixed with a heated media to form a mixture which then passes through the chamber. While passing through the chamber, a comparatively cool fluid is passed generally counter current through the mixture so that the mixture becomes cooler and drier and the fluid becomes hotter and more saturated with moisture. The mixture is then separated into drier material and media. The media is transferred to the regenerator and heated therein by the hot fluid from the chamber and supplemental heat is supplied to bring the media to a preselected temperature for mixing with incoming material to be dried.
