Abstract: A variety of rose plant of the shrub class, named ‘AUSchariot’. The ‘AUSchariot’ rose is a plant suitable for repeat cut flower production having bright crimson buds that gradually open to reveal many-petalled, deep red blooms with a light, fruity fragrance and long vase life, produced on strong upright stems.

Abstract: A new and distinct Malus domestica apple tree cultivar named ‘New York 2’ that is characterized by having red, juicy, crisp fruits with a firm texture and tart flavor that ripen mid to late season. The fruit of ‘New York 2’ has a very long storage life (100-150 days) while maintaining fresh quality. Trees are annually productive, grower friendly and fruits are not subject to pre-harvest drop and have good retention on the tree. ‘New York 2’ was tested as NY 92609-463.

Abstract: A new and distinct variety of peach rootstock denominated ‘HBOK 50’ is described. The ‘HBOK 50’ peach rootstock offers size control ability, root knot nematode resistance, less wood from dormant and summer pruning, and production of fewer root suckers. ‘HBOK 50’ has contributed to size reduction of compound trees when it is used as a clonally-produced rootstock with the fresh market peach “O'Henry”. No evidence of graft incompatibility or other abnormalities have been noted in such circumstances. Fruit on compound trees with ‘HBOK 50’ rootstocks is either similar in size or smaller than ‘Nemaguard’. The ‘HBOK 50’ rootstock displays root knot nematode resistance levels similar to ‘Nemaguard’ and more resistant than ‘Lovell’.

Abstract: A hook seat tightening structure for ship covers comprises a body constituted by a seat and a housing, wherein two rollers, one turntable, one wheel, one lock bolt, and one lock member are located therein. A depressing piece and a tenon are located at two sides of the lock bolt respectively. The lock bolt can be rotated and elastically restored by the tenon, which is connected with a spring. The depressing piece is pressed against one-way ratchets on the turntable, and the lock bolt can be rotated subject to a control by a key. A rope enters and is reeved on the turntable and wheel, to constitute a tightening device permitting a one-way gliding of the rope. Accordingly, when the lock member is locked by rotating the key, the tenon on the lock member can be latched on the depressing piece of the lock bolt, thereby achieving a locking function.

Abstract: A ground fault circuit interrupter device having a feedthrough capacitor for substantially reducing interference from radio frequency signals such as those emitted from cell phones and 2-way radios. The ground fault circuit interrupter device includes a printed circuit board having a system ground terminal and a detection terminal for receiving a fault detection signal. A chip is provided having a ground pin connected to the system ground terminal and an input pin for receiving the fault detection signal. The feedthrough capacitor has a through conductor connected between the input pin and the detection terminal and a capacitor coupled between the through conductor and the system ground terminal.

Abstract: A low profile orthopedic device is used to fix and stabilize bones to correct anomalies in skeletal structure occurring naturally or by trauma. Bone screws are screwed into bones by application of torque. Clamps are movably attached to the screws. Each clamp includes a compression ring. A connecting rod connects several screws through slots in the clamps. The clamps are tightened to hold the rod and the heads in a pre-selected position by linear movement of the compression rings.

Abstract: A text mining system for collecting business intelligence about a client, as well as for identifying prospective customers of the client, for use in a lead generation system accessible by the client via the Internet. The text mining system has various components, including a data acquisition process that extracts textual data from Internet web sites, including their logs, content, processes, and transactions. The system compares log data to content and process data, and relates the results of the comparison to transaction data. This permits the system to provide aggregate cluster data representing statistics useful for customer lead generation.

Abstract: The present invention describes a network-based mobile workgroup system allowing a selected set of users from two or more mobile virtual private networks to form an extranet workgroup in a secure manner. The invention is based on the limited private address scenario, which entitles mobile nodes having private, possibly overlapping, addresses as defined in RFC 1918, while home and foreign agents have public IP addresses. Each home agent is dedicated to one mobile virtual private network (M-VPN), while a foreign agent may be shared by multiple M-VPNs. The system also entails a mobile service manager that has a public IP address and a set of mobile nodes that all have a UFQDN (user fully qualified domain name) within the overall mobile workgroup system. The main benefits, compared to existing solution for extranet workgroup creation, are that extranets can be created despite overlapping address realms. Even fine-granular workgroups within the extranet can be created with any set of users from any set of M-VPNs.

Abstract: A plurality of battery-operated transceivers encapsulated by lamination to form a sheet of independent transceivers is tested in a two piece fixture that forms an enclosure surrounding each in-sheet transceiver. Each enclosure has an antenna for transmitting a command signal to the transceiver at a known power level and for receiving a reply message from the transceiver containing a power level measurement made by the transceiver. Test methods using the fixture of the present invention are also described. Flexible radio frequency identification (RFID) devices are coupled to a roll of flexible material. Each RFID device coupled to the roll is advanced into a wireless communication region. An antenna in the region separately communicates with each of the RFID devices in a manner that isolates the communication from other REID devices counted to the roll outside the region.

Brevity, with regard to undergarments, has advantages including: comfort and ease of use, improved cooperation with outerwear and protection against soiling. Thin sheets are prepared and arranged to be applied to the crotch area of the interior surface of pants or other similar garments via an adhesive bonding agent. So applied, the article provides underwear function and is intended to be an underwear substitute without bunching, chafing, or forming visible panty lines. The underwear substitute provides comfort to the user without forming visible panty lines while protecting the outer garment against soiling. These underwear substitutes may be formed of materials suitable for disposal after single use and they may be arranged as a kit suitable for retail sale.

Abstract: A combination privacy enclosure and beach towel includes a hollow sleeve formed of a front panel and a rear panel each having two opposing side edges that are joined to the corresponding side edges of the other panel. The top end of the sleeve includes a small neck opening for receiving a wearer's head while the bottom end of the sleeve is completely open. The sleeve is flattened to form a dual-layer beach towel. To form a privacy enclosure for changing clothing, a user inserts his or her head through the neck opening and drapes the sleeve over the user's body. To convert the device to a tote bag, each end of the sleeve is bundled and an accompanying shoulder strap is secured thereto.

Each buckle unit includes at least a base, and a second connecting portion for engaging to or disengaging from the first connecting portion. Thus, the outer pipe is enclosed around the inner pipe to form the faucet body, and the outer pipe and the inner pipe are formed by a plastic injection molding process, so that the faucet body is made and worked easily and quickly.

Abstract: Kits, devices, and methods are provided for attaching a snack box to a crib. Attached is such that, while still in the crib, the infant can open the lid and retrieve a snack stored inside, such as a bottle of milk. In some embodiments the snack box can even accommodate cold storage, e.g. by having a thermally insulated enclosure. It can even be a small electric refrigerator. Before the parent goes to sleep for the night, they can prepare a snack, and store it overnight in the snack box. When the infant wakes up in the morning, they can retrieve the snack by themselves, after a few days' training, without crying. This will permit the parent to sleep longer, because they will not have to wake up prematurely for delivering the morning snack, and then wait until it is consumed.

Abstract: A compact foundation unit kit and a method of making a foundation unit from the kit. The kit comprises at least three elongated, generally flat truss rails, four generally flat end caps and a plurality of generally flat cross slats, with the truss rails, end caps and cross slats oriented together with their longitudinal dimensions aligned in a generally parallel orientation and with their flat sides in contact. A binding maintains the truss rails, end caps and cross slats in that orientation. The method includes providing the kit, opening the kit and orienting the truss rails in a parallel, spaced position, then affixing one of the end caps to each end of the truss rails, inverting the partially formed foundation, and affixing the last two end caps to opposite ends of the truss rails, then finally affixing the cross slats to the truss rails in a spaced, parallel orientation. The foundation can then be finished in a conventional fashion.

Abstract: A bed exit detecting system cooperable with a mattress includes a pair of bolster air cells respectively positionable adjacent opposite sides of the mattress. A pressure source is provided in fluid communication with the bolster air cells, and a pressure sensor is connected to the air cells. A signal processor communicating with the pressure sensor and the pressure source includes an alarm that is activated when a predetermined pressure change in one of the air cells is detected by the pressure sensor.

Abstract: The conventional holding mechanism for foldable side rails have such problems that the release lever can be accidentally pressed for release action and that if a double lock is employed for preventing it, automatic holding action cannot be performed.

In an operating configuration, the patient lies on one of the bed platforms in a prone or supine position with the bed platform centered over the base. When the patient needs to be turned, the other table extends outwardly, and both tables are rotated to position the patient for turning. Once the patient is turned, the table on which the patient lies is returned to its operating position over the base and the other table is returned to its storage position.

Abstract: Techniques for improving treatment delivered to a target site in a patient include delivering a treatment from a treatment delivery device to a target site in a patient supported by a patient support structure. During the delivery of treatment, a state of the patient is measured to produce real-time measurement data. Measuring the state is non-invasive; and the measured state is a correlated surrogate for position of the target site. Compensating movement data is determined based on the real-time measurement data to cause the target site to maintain a particular spatial relationship with the treatment delivery device. Either the treatment delivery device, or the support structure, or both, are moved based on the compensating movement data. When the delivery device alone is moved, the correlation between measured state and target site is based on partial least squares applied to pre-treatment measurements of both.

Abstract: A mechanism for activation of an articulating bed incorporates at least one mattress support plate and a pair of side rails. A rack is attached to each side rail and a torque tube extends between the side rails with a pinion gear at each end engaging a respective one of the racks. An actuator imparts translational motion to the torque tube perpendicular to its axis. Elevation bars connected to the torque tube and the support plate are angularly displaced by translation of the torque tube.
