Abstract: A medical glove and other elastomeric healthcare products are provided. The glove includes a base comprised of an elastomeric polymer; a barrier coating over the base; a secondary coating over the barrier coating; and a plurality of iodinated resin particulates anchored to the secondary coating. A method of coating an elastomeric material is also provided, which includes: (a) providing a base elastomer comprised of an elastomeric polymer; (b) dipping the elastomer in a first organic solution containing a polymer to form a barrier coating; (c) dipping the elastomer in a second organic solution containing a polymer to form a secondary coating over the barrier coating; (d) dipping the elastomer in an a suspension containing iodinated resin particulates in an organic solvent to anchor the particulates to the secondary coating; and (e) drying the elastomer.

Abstract: The invention is a garment or like apparel that has a substantially transparent window connected to a pocket or cavity within the garment or like apparel, with the garment or like apparel being adapted to selectively reveal work performed preferably on a hand-held electronic device that is contained within the pocket or other garment or apparel cavity. The garment or like apparel is useful in allowing the manipulation of the hand-held electronic device contained within a cavity of the garment or like apparel while protecting the user's hands from the weather or harsh environment or while keeping such use discreet or private.

Abstract: A glove that includes at least one layer and one or more pads coupled with the at least one layer is disclosed. The one or more pads may be secured to the at least one layer using an adhesive, integrated with the at least one layer, etc. The one or more pads may be positioned such that the one or more pads are disposed between the user's hand and a laparoscopic instrument when in use. In this manner, the one or more pads may reduce and/or distribute the pressure on the digits and/or hands resulting from use of laparoscopic instruments or other types of instruments.

Abstract: A wearable burping shield has a torso portion and an over-shoulder portion. The over-shoulder portion comprises a layered construction having an outer moisture absorbent layer, and a second waterproof layer. Together the torso portion and over-shoulder portion define an armhole for receiving an arm therethrough so that the shield may be readily worn while holding an infant.

Abstract: A bib and corresponding mounting clip are disclosed. A bib body may include one or more of an upper reinforcement member, a plurality of body reinforcement members, and a plurality of pocket reinforcement members. The upper reinforcement facilitates having the bib body be suspended from the mounting clip at a single location or region. The plurality of body reinforcement members allows the bib body to be shaped to “funnel” food particles and the like, for instance into a pocket incorporated by the bib body. The plurality of pocket reinforcement members may be used to retain such a pocket in an open configuration.

Abstract: A garment to be worn by a person having a neck and a pair of hands includes a shawl portion with first and second ends and a width extending between first and second edges extending between the ends, and a muff formed at at least one of the first and second ends. The muff has a transversely extending passageway with vertically extending opposed entranceways configured to receive the pair of hands of the person. The muff also has a receptacle pocket with a generally horizontally extending entranceway for carriage of small items located exterior to the passageway. The lower portions of the shawl may be folded upon themselves to form a pair of cuffs, the interior regions of the cuffs leading to the entranceway to the receptacle pocket. The cuffs may be further joined together above the muff to form a bib adjoining the muff.

Abstract: A zipper arrangement is configured to fasten a first fabric portion to a second fabric portion. The zipper arrangement includes a plurality of first zipper elements positioned along the first fabric portion and a plurality of second zipper elements positioned along the second fabric portion. A zipper closure includes a first closure member releasably coupled to a second closure member. The first closure member is positioned on a mid-portion of the first fabric portion and the second closure member is positioned on a mid-portion of the second fabric portion. A first slider is positioned on one side of the zipper closure and a second slider positioned on an opposite side of the zipper closure. When provided on a garment, the zipper arrangement may be used in association with a method for fastening a first garment portion to a second garment portion by moving the sliders in opposing directions.

A frontal portion of the garment covers at least a portion of the frontal trunk and frontal lower limbs of the female patient when the garment is worn. A left rear portion, in turn, is attached to a leftmost edge of the frontal portion and covers at least a portion of the rear trunk and rear lower limbs of the female patient. A right rear portion is attached to a rightmost edge of the frontal portion and overlaps the left rear portion. Each of the pair of ear covers further includes a deployable cheek cover. The deployable cheek cover is moveable from a retracted position, over a respective ear cover, to a deployed position, offset from the respective ear cover, to provide facial protection from cold weather.

Abstract: A fabric for fireproof clothing of the present invention is a fireproof fabric including flame-retardant fibers. The fabric is a woven fabric, a knitted fabric or a nonwoven fabric including 70 to 100 mass % of a polyetherimide fiber and 0 to 30 mass % of another flame-retardant fiber. The flame resistance, the heat resistance, and the wash resistance under ISO 11613-1999 as the international performance standards for fireproof clothing are: (1) flame resistance to be free from hole formation, dripping and melting; and to have afterflame time and afterglow time of not more than 2 seconds; (2) heat resistance to be free from firing, separation, dripping and melting; and to have a shrinkage rate of not more than 5%; and (3) washing resistance to have a shrinkage rate of not more than 3%. The fireproof clothing of the present invention includes the fireproof fabric fabricated as an inner liner.

Abstract: Disclosed is a heater including a back-flow preventing device located at or adjacent an outlet of the heater. In some embodiments, the back-flow preventing device has an open position and a closed position. When the back-flow preventing device is in the open position, water is able to flow freely through the heater. When back-flow preventing device is in the closed position, water is prevented from flowing or migrating back into the heater.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and devices for controlling the amount of water passing through a heat exchanger and the amount of water that by-passes the heater without passing through the heat exchanger. The second bracket includes a semi-circular portion that covers a portion of the lever during the various positions of the sofa. The sofa hinge further includes a cover plate rotatably connected to the sofa hinge at the bolt. The cover plate includes a semi-circular portion and is adjacent to the semi-circular portion of the second bracket. The cover plate covers at least a portion of the semi-circular portion of the second bracket. By having the cover plate conceal the gear mechanism of the sofa hinge, the risk of injury to the operator's fingers is substantially reduced.

The three-dimensional netted structure has hard side regions of a higher bulk density formed on left and right longitudinal side faces of the three-dimensional netted structure. Two design options allow the holders for accomplishing-angular oscillatory movements, or -rotating in opposite directions about the longitudinal axis, thus ensuring bristles' movements from top to bottom along the user's teeth. The proposed design ensures a high cleaning effectiveness, water tightness, and compensation of a reactive torque of the toothbrush, which extends the service life of the toothbrush and facilitates the use thereof.

The absorber is disposed under the underside and includes a pad having an opening there-through. The absorber is attachable to the underside. The opening is shaped and disposed to avoid the nozzle, such that steam is dispensed without impacting and being absorbed the pad as it exits the nozzle. The pad comprises hydrophilic fibers and hydrogel-forming particles. The absorber also includes an envelope made of a porous fabric for enclosing the pad. When manipulated, the release actuator engages the spring loaded detent and removes the spring loaded detent from the latching aperture so as to release the cleaning tool from the cleaning tool receiver.

The gripping member may be configured as an elongate strip of rubber or similar material providing friction against the doorknob so that the gripping member will not slip substantially when engaged with the doorknob. The gripping member may be wrapped around the doorknob one or more times. A handle may be attached to the gripping member so that the user may grip the handle and pull laterally relative to the doorknob. Advantageously, no twisting motion of the wrist is required by the user, as the pulling of the handle results in turning of the doorknob as a result of the friction gripping action of the gripping member against the doorknob.

The apparatus includes a base for affixing the apparatus to a first surface of the handheld device; at least one extension extending from the base at a first end of the extension; and a grip extending from the at least one extension at a second end of the extension, wherein the grip is oriented substantially parallel to the first surface of the handheld device, and wherein the apparatus is adapted to receive a portion of at least one finger inserted between the grip and the handheld device.
