Abstract: Embodiments herein are directed to outerwear garments having an integrated suspension system that allows a user to carry the garment around the user's waist when the garment is not needed. One or more straps are provided that may be coupled to an interior surface of the outerwear. A single strap may extend around the body of the user, or, alternatively, multiple straps may be provided that are coupled to the outerwear and which may be coupled to each other to secure the straps. In various embodiments, the ends of the one or more straps may be coupled to one another to form a waist belt for attaching the outerwear about the waist of the user when the garment is not being worn.

Abstract: A redox-active conductive polymer includes a charged tether. An interpenetrating network including such a conducting polymer can be switched between two states of diffusivity (porosity) by application of a voltage. Such a material can be useful in breathable protective clothing, controlled release, intelligent sensing/filtration, novel separation processes, nanomanufacturing, and other areas.

Abstract: A one-piece article of clothing having a front part, a back part containing a seat region, a right- and left-hand side, a waist region, and at least one closing device is provided. The closing device(s) may be positioned laterally along the right- and left-hand sides of the garment such that the end portion of the closing device is positioned in the front part to permit the seat region to be opened. In at least one exemplary embodiment, the article contains two closing devices whereby end portions of the two closing devices are positioned in the front part and beginning portions of the two closing devices are positioned facing each other in the back part to enable the opening of the seat region. The article may also have at least one stretching zone and at least one elastic component. In one exemplary embodiment, the article is utilized as cycling bib pants.

Abstract: A message-conveying athletic glove with enhanced gripping is provided. The glove comprises a palm-side portion and a back portion connected to form four finger sheaths, a thumb sheath, and an opening capable of receiving a human hand. A first image portion of a complete image is located on one or more of the palm-side portion or the back portion of the glove. When the glove is worn by the user and interlocks with a second glove having a second image portion of the complete image displayed, the complete image is displayed by the interlocked gloves, conveying a message. The palm-side portion of the glove is made of a material to enhance gripping.

Abstract: The present invention features a facial mask comprising a water-insoluble substrate sized and shaped to lie against and substantially coincident with a face of a human user. The water-insoluble substrate includes separation features that form laterally-extending tabs capable of overlapping the facial mask, improving its adaptability and fit. Methods of treating the skin using facial masks are also provided.

Abstract: A cap or hat having a pocket accessible from the inside or outside of the cap or hat for holding a cold or hot gel pouch. The pocket has a top layer of a top outer ply and a top inner ply where the top inner ply has UV rays reflecting properties and a bottom layer of at least one ply where the bottom layer is a layer of insulation that partially insulated the cold or heat from the gel pouch from the head of a person wearing the cap. To accommodate the pocket which is provided to hold a soft sided gel pack that is especially designed to conform to the upper part of the wearers head, the cap has an extra deep dome which is obtained by providing side panels of the cap which are longer than the side panels of a prior art baseball type of cap.

Abstract: A doll is disclosed. The doll has an outer layer that is constructed of a faux fur and that includes a number of openings. The faux fur has a pile height sufficient to at least partially conceal the openings. A number of interchangeable features can be connected to the outer layer by securing connecting members in the openings. Depending on the embodiment, the openings may be buttonholes or grommeted openings, and the connecting members may be buttons or connecting bars. Some embodiments of the doll may have a removable stuffed insert. When embodiments of the doll are not stuffed, or when the removable insert is removed, the doll may serve as a puppet, a hat, or a cover for an object.

Abstract: A clothing accessory having a first band adapted to be located around a person's upper arm, neck or thigh and a second band adapted to be located around the person's wrist when the first band is around the person's upper arm, around the person's upper arm when the first band is around the person's neck, or around the person's ankle when the first band is around the person's thigh. The ends of a chain or ribbon are connected to the first and second bands and at least one of the bands may have a pocket on an inside or outside surface.

Abstract: A garment which comprises an inflatable protective device able to expand from a rest condition, wherein it's in a deflated status, to a working condition, wherein it's in an inflated status, inflation means able to inflate said protective device and an electronic controller able to activate the inflation means if a risk and/or danger signal is detected by sensors incorporated in the garment. The inflatable protective device, after being moved to the working condition, can return automatically to the rest condition without requiring to be repacked or reset and the inflation means can inflate the protective device more than once without requiring to be recharged.

Abstract: The invention relates to an adjustable-volume metering pump automatic dispenser of sanitary products for toilet water cisterns, made up of a reservoir and of an auxiliary reservoir, and in which: the reservoir contains a sanitary product and an adjustable-volume metering pump of a membrane-pump version is mounted by a sealed assembly in its lower part, and each time the toilet is used, the auxiliary reservoir releases the dose of sanitary product into the water at the end of the flush and then receives from the adjustable-volume metering pump a new dose of sanitary product required for the next use of the toilet.

Abstract: A temperature-controllable heated seat includes: a housing providing a certain amount of internal space; heating wires disposed within the housing, having bent portions repeated from one end portion to the other end portion of the housing, and heating the housing upon receiving power; and a thermostat unit disposed at a periphery of the heating wires and controlling power supply to the heating wires such that the temperature of the housing does not exceed a pre-set temperature value.

Abstract: A device for the collection of feces samples for laboratory diagnostic tests includes an upper layer and a lower layer, both with a semicircular or rectangular front end, and a rectilinear extension that extends toward the rear end. The upper layer has a round opening close to the front end. The lower layer has a plurality of small holes concentric to the round opening in the upper layer.

Abstract: A swimming pool safety cover of the solid fabric variety includes a flexible cover fabric formed of a plurality of reinforced thermoplastic polymer pieces assembled and heat sealed along their edges to form a unitary cover conforming to the shape of the pool and a plurality of anchor straps, each strap extending along a portion of and heat sealed to one side of the cover and projecting outwardly from, and spaced apart along, the periphery of the cover. The projecting portion of each anchor strap is sufficiently long to attach to the hardware and the portion of each strap extending along and heat sealed to the cover is no longer than one to three times the length of the projecting portion.

Abstract: A Safety Vacuum Release System (SVRS) which incorporates a water flow-rate sensor in electrical communication with the electric motor which powers a swimming pool pump at an aquatic facility. When the flow of water drops to a rate indicative of a flow blockage at a suction outlet fitting within the pool, the SVRS shuts down the electric pump motor to release a suction entrapped bather. In one embodiment, the flow-rate sensor can be a transit time or a Doppler unit which features a non-invasive, clamp-on installation onto the circulation pipe. The SVRS can display the real-time rate of flow of the circulation system, the real-time turnover rate of the swimming pool, and signal the operator when it is time to clean the pool filter. The SVRS can also maintain the optimum flow rate of the circulation system by adjusting the speed of a variable speed pump motor as hydraulic resistance changes.

Abstract: The Wheel Chair Shower Safety provides an adjustable threshold specially designed to be installed in walk-in shower stalls. Created to replace current stall thresholds, this product is essentially rectangular in shape, and is hinge mounted to the entrance of the stall, the Wheel Chair Shower Safety contains a swiveling foot pedal at each end. As such, when a wheelchair is rolled over the pedals, the threshold automatically flattens to facilitate unimpeded entry. As the chair passes over the pedals, the threshold retracts back to a vertical position, thus keeping water confined within the stall. When the shower is over, the patient repeats the above process to exit the stall.

Abstract: A method for producing a basin (1) integrated in a work plane, called the receiving plane (2), having an upper surface (2a) and a lower surface (2b), according to which method the receiving plane is pierced right through and an opening (3) adapted to receive the basin is formed, this receiving plane is installed in a mould (10) and the basin is moulded by injecting synthetic material directly onto the edge (3a) of the opening of the receiving plane. Abstract: A foldable crib movable between a folded position and an open position is disclosed. The foldable crib comprises a first crib end; a second crib end; a first connecting member joining the first end to the second end, wherein the first connecting member is configured to be foldable; and a second connecting member joining the first end to the second end, wherein the second connecting member is configured to be foldable. When the crib is in an open position, the first connecting member and the second connecting member are generally unfolded. When the crib is in a folded position, the first connecting member and the second connecting member are folded.

Abstract: A rolling foldout cabinet bed has two faces that fold out from a vertical to a horizontal position, thereby creating a surface that can be used for sleeping. When the cabinet is closed, a space within the cabinet stores a foldable innerspring, or other mattress. The two faces can be locked together in the folded position. During deployment, an elastic belt or other retainer and hold the folded mattress to one of the faces, and can also pull the mattress out of the interior space within the bottom of the cabinet. The cabinet also has legs for supporting the faces above the ground when in the opened configuration, and can include wheels that facilitate moving the cabinet quickly and easily moved.

Abstract: A multi-layered protective barrier that comprises a top side and a bottom side. The bottom side is comprised of a polyurethane laminated (PUL) fabric and is intended to contact an outdoor support surface such as grass or soil, and to protect the user and the blanket from attracting dirt or absorbing moisture. The top side is intended to contact the user and is comprised of a soft cotton or wool material. Between the top and bottom side layers is an interior core stuffed with batting filler to provide increased cushion and separation between the top and bottom side. In use the multi-layered barrier provides an outdoor blanket or covering that is comfortable and durable. The blanket can also be folded in half and fastened together, improving transportability, as well as provide the user with a seat cushion or baby diaper changing platform. The entire assembly is machine-washable and machine-dryable.

Abstract: A latch mechanism for a siderail assembly comprises a handle, a link assembly, and a pin. The handle is configured to be moved between a first position and a second position. The link assembly is coupled to the handle and configured to move between a latch position and an unlatch position as a function of the movement of the handle. The pin is configured to be engaged by the link assembly and is configured to rotate from a first rotational orientation to a second rotational orientation to disengage the link assembly from the pin when a false latching condition occurs.

Abstract: A combination quilt and article retention means for transporting and storing loose items attached thereon, particularly suited for providing a baby blanket and retention device for baby toys and similar articles. The quilt comprises a plurality of square patches upon which are provided retention straps for securing baby articles thereto. A pocket is provided for larger items or for those items not suitable for strap retention. The quilt is collapsible into a folded state, wherein a transportable structure is provided that is of reduced surface area, while the retained articles are secured within the interior of the blanket. The size of the quilt is suited for fitment into a standard sized baby crib, while the straps and pouch provide a means to secure various items while traveling with a baby outside of the home.

Abstract: A patient support apparatus includes a frame and a mattress support deck coupled to the frame. The mattress support deck is movable between a horizontal position to support a patient in a lying position and a chair egress position to support the patient in a sitting position. The patient support apparatus has at least one actuator coupled to the mattress support deck and operable to move the mattress support deck between the horizontal position and the chair egress position. Control circuitry is coupled to the at least one actuator and is operable to command operation of the at least one actuator. In response to the control circuitry receiving a chair lockout signal, the at least one actuator is prevented from being operated to move the mattress support deck into the chair egress position.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to the field of juvenile products, specifically infant support or nursing pillows, the intent of which is to support an infant in a variety of settings by providing a stable surface upon which to rest. Various embodiments include a generally crescent shaped device, comprised of a resilient fill material surrounded by a fabric shell and having a top and a bottom surface connected by a band of uniform width extending vertically and wholly about the perimeter of the pillow. The top and bottom surfaces are distinctly different in dimension, resulting in the pillow having an asymmetrical cross section, with one side having generally more loft and the other being substantially flat along a plane perpendicular to the perimeter band. A medial region between two extending arms forms a well, for the purpose of receiving a human torso or small child.

Abstract: An adjustable mattress that incorporates a movement mechanism and support member inside of the foam mattress includes a fabric covering with a fastener member. The fastener member is used to keep a fitted sheet in place over the adjustable mattress when the mattress is adjusted to an inclined configuration. The fastener member is attached to the fabric covering near the lower edge of the adjustable mattress and is adapted to fasten to a corresponding fastener on the fitted sheet. The guard member can be moved relative to the paint pad to selectively expose the periphery of the paint pad. A coupling member capable of being coupled to another device and/or directly used to manipulate the painting device can be moved relative to the paint pad. The coupling member can be rotated to different positions using a selector that permits such rotations.
