Abstract: A coalescing dryer passes air downwardly through items to be dried in a container. The air can be diverted to change direction following passage of the air through the items to be dried. The moving air causes liquid on the surface of items to be dried to coalesce and travel downwardly and from the items being dried. A vacuum dryer applies a vacuum to the container of items to be dried when placed in a vacuum chamber after pre-drying by the coalescing dryer so as to evaporate liquid in the items to be dried that has not been removed by the coalescing dryer.

Abstract: The invention relates to a flexible sheet which includes cavities that are intercommunicated by a captive fluid of a known viscosity and which is positioned as an insole beneath the sole of the foot. The upper surface of the aforementioned cavities receives plantar pressures, thereby acquiring a corresponding dimpled appearance indicating those areas receiving greater or less plantar pressure. The gradual movement of the fluid through the hollow closed circuit is caused mainly by the resistance to the fluid provided by two-way an one-way valves and alternatively by the resistance provided by the cross-section and length of the conduits to the viscosity of the fluid. In this way, as the foot oscillates the cavities remain the same. The invention is mainly intended for obtaining approximate plantar pressure measurements by observing the upper surface of the adjoining cavities after a sufficient number of steps, producing the mould or negative and saving a record of same, and producing the final insole.

Abstract: A firearm firing system substantially reduces the force necessary to fire the weapon yet enhances its ability to remain safe when a firing command is not issued. The sear and hammer interact at two distinct locations so as to reduce the force necessary for the sear to be removed from the sear ledge of the hammer resulting firing of the weapon. By redistributing forces to a secondary point on the hammer during firing the primary sear/hammer interaction can be maintained during non-firing modes to safe the weapon. Additionally a cavity is presented at the sear/sear ledge interaction such that residue and foreign material are removed so not to interfere with the firing mechanism.
