Abstract: A gasification process is divided into three processes: a gasification furnace for carrying out gasification process by pyrolysis and gasification (pyrolysis gasification phase, first process), a combustion furnace for burning char to obtain calcined active chemical (char combustion phase, second process) and a gas purification furnace for purifying gasified gas (gasified gas purification phase, third process). Through heat transmission by the fluid heat medium and chemical reactions in respective phases by the chemical, the gasification furnace is independently controlled to a low or medium temperature (773-1073 K) which is required for gasification and which enables absorption of CO2; and the gas purification furnace is controlled to a high temperature (1073 K or more) required for gas purification.

Abstract: A device is provided for sealing an opening made in a structure, including a fixed panel in which an opening is defined, and at least one sliding panel, including: two shuttles respectively guided in two guiding rails mounted and/or formed on the surface of the fixed panel facing the inside of the vehicle and a frame supporting at least two guiding pins respectively engaging with each one of the shuttles. The shuttles include guides for guiding the pins, enabling a transverse movement of the frame relative to the shuttles. An actuator acts directly or indirectly on the shuttles in order to move the latter in the rails, causing the sliding panel to move in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the fixed panel. The device also synchronizes the actuator so as to synchronize the movement of the shuttles.

Abstract: A building panel for residential and commercial construction uses a plurality of insulating blocks connected together by adhesive. The insulation blocks are typically made of foam. A plurality of support members are disposed on opposite sides of the insulating blocks and offset with respect to the adjacent support member. The support member are typically made of metal and can have different shapes including “T” shape, “U” shape, and “L” shape. Each support member has a head portion in contact with a surface of the insulating block and a stem portion extending into the insulating block and having a length less than a width of the insulating block so that a thermal conduction path of the support member is discontinuous across the insulating block. The panel can be used as a curtain wall panel in high-rise construction, as well as bodies for aircraft, automotive, and marine applications.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for attachment of an object to a thin-walled profile with a number of walls by means of one or more threaded fastening members. Each fastening member is driven into an open-ended space between two walls of the profile, where the opening faces an outer surface of the profile, and the space has a width corresponding substantially to the minor diameter of the thread. Fastening members can be screws or bolts, a retaining member can be applied to prevent the two walls from moving away from each other and a filler or glue may be provided in the space before the introduction of the fastening member. The profile can be made from a plastic matrix reinforced with fibre glass and made by pultrusion.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a door for traditional Korean houses. The door includes a structure of a lattice door framed with vertical lattice frames and horizontal lattice frames which are arranged in a regular periodic pattern. A lattice width-to-height ratio (W/H) of the lattice door ranges from 0.07 to 0.1 so that the outside air is prevented from entering the interior of a room through the lattice door to minimize heat loss from the interior of the room to the outside air. Therefore, the present invention can satisfy the basic function of insulating the interior of the room born the outside air. Thereby, energy consumption can be reduced.
