  • Patent number: 8250672
Abstract: A material for making elastomeric nitrile rubber articles is disclosed. In particular, the process and material formulation can produce nitrile rubber based articles, which exhibit force-strain characteristics that are comparable to those of natural rubber latex articles, while maintaining the tensile strength properties of nitrile rubber. The process includes an accelerator composition at the pre-cure stage having a dithiocarbamate, a thiazole, and a guanidine compound. The invention also includes an elastomeric nitrile rubber product made by the process, such as examination, surgical, or work gloves, which can have an exterior coating over naked rubber selected from either a silicone emulsion or oil, glycerin solution, a combined mixture of silicone and glycerin/glycerol, a fluorocarbon release agent, or a natural or synthetic hydrocarbon-based oil in amounts that do not degrade said substrate rubber material.

  • Patent number: 8250674
Abstract: The musical headwear includes headwear having a pocket that carries an electronic audio device. The pocket has an opening, sealable via fasteners disposed across fabric surrounding the top central portion of the opening. The electronic audio device is dropped into the open pocket and then sealed inside by fastening together the fasteners proximate the top central portion of the pocket opening. Gaps on either side of the seal are provided so that a user can touch the case of the electronic audio device, the case having a touch sensitive electronic pad that actuates the unit when momentarily touched by the user. When the unit is actuated, speakers embedded in the audio unit broadcast a song, chant, or other refrain that has been pre-stored in the unit's digital memory. The unit is factory programmed to play one or more different programs responsive to momentary user contact with the touch pad.

  • Patent number: 8250680
Abstract: A urinal includes: a urinal body; a high-frequency sensor which radiates a radio beam obliquely passing through an upper surface of the urinal body toward a bowl and receives a reflected wave from an object so as to generate a detection signal; and a valve which discharges or stops flushing water to the urinal body in response to the detection signal. An angle formed between a first plane including the upper surface of the urinal body and a second plane including a radiation surface of an antenna of the high-frequency sensor is in a range of more than 0 degree to less than 90 degree. A cross line where the first plane and the second plane intersect with each other is substantially parallel to a horizontal direction of the urinal body. The radio beam is a linearly-polarized wave. An excitation direction of the radio beam intersects with the cross line. An intensity of the radio beam passing through the urinal body is larger than that of the radio beam reflected by the upper surface.

A sliding surface apart from a center of the through hole protrudes from the female element. An inner slot and an outer slot are formed beside the sliding surface. The female element defines a first depressed portion and a second depressed portion correspondingly engaged with the first and second raised portions. Widths of the inner slot and the outer slot are gradually varied. During rotation of the rotating member, the first and second raised portions are slid out from the first and second depressed portions, respectively, and then in frictional engagement with the sliding surface, together with partial portions covering the inner and outer slots, correspondingly.

Abstract: A space-saving slide cover lifting structure consisting of a pair hinges, a pair of sliding rail holders, a pair of plastic slide guides, a pair of sliding rails, a pair of gears and a pair of gear racks is disclosed. The gear racks are respectively accommodated in the sliding rails to reduce space occupation, minimizing the width of the assembly of the gear rack and the respective sliding rail. The arrangement of the plastic slide guides prohibits direction contact between the metal sliding rails and the sliding rail holders, avoiding friction noise.

Abstract: A hinge assembly, which allows a cable to be disposed therein quickly, includes a first coupling member with a first hole and a first slot, a second coupling member with a second hole and a second slot, and a limit member with a third hole and a third slot. The first, second and third holes collectively define a compartment, with the first, second and third holes being aligned one another. The first, second and third slots collectively define an entrance, with the first, second and third slots being aligned one another. The entrance defines a space with a size greater than a cross-sectional size of the cable to allow insertion of the cable. The limit member is operably rotatable to a position that the cable is retained in the compartment and is prevented from exiting from the entrance.

Abstract: A handgrip includes a tubular grip body having at least two angularly spaced-apart resilient clamp portions projecting outwardly and axially from an annular end thereof, a substantially U-shaped rod member having a bight portion, and non-threaded head and threaded end portions, and a sleeve ring sleeved around the resilient clamp portions and having first and second curved retaining grooves receiving respectively the resilient clamp portions, a head-receiving groove section receiving the non-threaded head portion, and a guide groove section receiving the threaded end portion. A nut member is disposed outwardly of the guide groove section, and engages threadedly the threaded end portion. The nut member pulls the threaded end portion when tightened so that the bight portion pushes one of the resilient clamp portions toward the other resilient clamp portion.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a reclosable zipper for a package or bag wherein apertures are formed at periodic package-width intervals passing through the interlocking elements of the zipper profiles in order to minimize the mass of zipper material in areas where side seals of packages or bags will be subsequently formed. The otherwise interlocking elements upstream of, or at the trailing edge of, the apertures are deformed so as to prevent interlocking of the elements through a limited area. This allows a separator pin to pass through the area of the apertures and pass between the zipper profiles, eliminating or reducing the collision of the separator with the zipper profiles and subsequent potential damage to the zipper profiles.

Abstract: A roof panel seamer which is self-propelled and bidirectional for forming a standing seam joining two adjacent metal roof panels. Two seamers are disclosed, one for forming a 90° seam and the other for forming a 180° seam. Friction wheels, rather than gears, are used to transfer power from the main support body to the auxiliary support body of the seamer. The seamer includes five roll forming stations, the leading three of which are effective for each direction of travel. One of the roll forming stations for each direction of travel in the 90° seamer imparts a curve to the leg being bent. In the 90° seamer, a guide finger is mounted to both ends of one of the main and auxiliary support bodys, with the guide finger being effective to contact the underside of the male portion of the seam and maintain a minimum clearance between the male and female portions as the male and female portions enter the seamer.
