Abstract: A hospital gown having front and rear openings for convenient access while providing sufficient coverage of the patient's body is provided. In one embodiment, the hospital gown comprises a first segment and a second segment. When one segment is put on a patient by inserting one arm through an arm hole and the other segment is put on in the same manner but on the opposite side of the body, the front and back portions of the segments overlap at the front and back. The segments may be releasably connected to one another by fasteners located on the first and second segments at the front and back overlapping portions. The first segment then wraps around the patient's body and over a part of the second segment, and the front and back portions of the first segment are releasably connected at or near the side of the patient's body.

Abstract: An ambidextrous glove that includes a thumb region, an index finger region, a middle finger region, a ring finger region and little finger region all aligned along a common axis. The index finger region is rotated through ninety degrees relative to the orientations of all of the middle, ring and little finger regions to provide for easier insertion of a hand into the glove. A textured pattern is provided on the surfaces of the glove used to grip objects. The pattern is one of a raised fan shape and raised diamond shape.

Abstract: An adjustable band includes a tube of material having an open first end and a second end, and a closing device at the open first end. A portion of the tube adjacent the second end may be inserted into the first end to form the band. The band has an adjustable circumference in accordance with a length of the inserted portion, which is secured to the first end by the closing device.

Abstract: A freely cuttable garment is provided. The freely cuttable garment is capable of being cut by a consumer into any design shape for use. The garment is formed of a fray-preventing knitted fabric woven with heat-welding elastic yarn. Sizes of opening parts of the neck, side, and bottom of the garment are smaller than those of a standard product; a total length and sleeve length of the garment are larger than those of the standard product; and a body width, cuff, waist, and lower bottom edge of the garment are equal to those of the standard product. The garment can be cut into any design shape and can be used with the opening parts left cut-off.

Abstract: A helmet for receiving a compatible visor comprises a shell and two guiding mechanisms. Each guiding mechanisms is located on a different side of the shell and is adapted to receive the compatible visor. The guiding mechanisms guide the compatible visor along a confined path extending from a retracted position, where the compatible visor is proximate a frontal portion of the shell and substantially outside a field of view of the wearer, to a deployed position where the compatible visor is substantially below a frontal lower edge and within the field of view of the wearer. The guiding mechanisms guide at least a lower portion of the compatible visor substantially towards a rear portion of the shell when the compatible visor is in the deployed position. The compatible visor has a lens, a face seal and one mounting interface on each side of the lens.

The cable retainer provides length adjustment for the cable so that a plurality of toilet reservoirs and flush mechanisms can be successfully converted to foot flush.

The devices are mounted in pairs and are lockable in positions which overlie the tame or lie outboard of the table or below the table when not required. The locking action is by friction but radial arrays of teeth (66, 68), which are locked by hand screws (62), give the preferred locking action. Other items of equipment such as arm boards, neural head supports and stirrups can be substituted for the pad.

The bracing surface is disposed between the two side surfaces, and has a generally concave shape. The abdominal section of the patient abuts against the bracing surface of the orthopedic support pillow when the patient is lying in the prone position sideways. The orthopedic support pillow provides stability and support to the retained arm in an elevated position while the patient is in the generally prone position on the resting surface. The pad also defines two relatively short longitudinally extending floor engaging channels extending from a rear edge of the cushion and is adapted to receive a portion of an individual's foot therein. Abstract: A rug cleaning system for efficiently cleaning a rug without the need for bending over to reach the rug or being subjected to loose dust and debris. The rug cleaning system generally includes a housing having an entrance opening and an exit opening, with a passageway connecting the openings. A first roller is positioned on one side of the passageway at its upper portion with a second roller is positioned on the other side opposite the first roller. A cleaning brush is positioned beneath the second roller. As a rug is inserted into the entrance opening, it is sandwiched between the rollers and forced down through the passageway past the cleaning brush. The cleaning brush removes any debris from the rug and transfers the debris to a debris storage member through use of transfer members and a vacuum. The cleaned rug then exits the exit opening.

When the swivel mechanism is in the locked fixed non-swiveling position, the shock absorbing axis and its supporting upper and lower plates, that are retained by a pin, flex and absorbs shocks due to its elastomers flexible properties and eliminates breakage when hitting stationary objects.

Abstract: A folded hand towel having an upper towel portion used as an ice and beverage holder pocket and adapted for attaching to a golf bag. Ice cubes received in the pocket and when melted, provide moisture for wetting a lower towel portion for cleaning golf related items. The upper towel portion is divided from the lower towel portion by horizontal stitching across the width of the towel. Vertical edges of the upper towel portion are stitched together to form an open top ice and beverage holder pocket. The inside of the pocket includes an open top and an open bottom, water-proof liner. The liner is attached to opposite sides of the upper towel portion. The liner helps keep items stored therein cool and also prevent moisture from the ice from wetting the opposite sides of the upper towel portion. The open bottom of the liner allows moisture from the melted ice to migrate downwardly be gravity and wet the opposite sides of the lower towel portion.

For example, various tools such as trowels, knives, and scrappers may be made having at least a portion of their blades heat treated to make at least their working edges more durable and extend their useful lives. For example, in various embodiments, a putty knife, taping knife, or scrapper blade may have at least one working surface or edge that has been at heat treated while an area of the blade where a handle is permanently attached is not heat treated.

In one embodiment, the connecting device includes: a joint fixed to a frame of a flat wiper blade; a bracket snap-mounted on the joint; and an adaptor mounted to the bracket. The bracket has a pivot shaft extending perpendicular to a length direction of the frame and having a pivot bore therethrough. The adaptor has a pair of side wall portions. Fitting apertures are perforated in the side wall portions. The adaptor is mounted to the bracket in such a manner that both ends of the pivot shaft are fitted to the fitting apertures. The adaptor is configured to be suitable for differently-configured distal ends of the wiper arms. The connecting device connects a single flat wiper blade to various wiper arms.

Abstract: A handheld canister vacuum cleaner device includes a canister assembly with a canister having a hollow interior and a suction-producing subassembly mounted on the canister that sucks air from the hollow interior. An attachment-coupling component is provided on the canister that serves to hold a vacuuming attachment on the canister while coupling the vacuuming attachment in fluid communication with the hollow interior of the canister. The attachment-coupling component holds the vacuuming attachment pivotally so that a user can pivot the vacuuming attachment relative to the canister to multiple user-selected angles for operating convenience. Abstract: An upright vacuum cleaner for cleaning a surface includes a base unit, a carriage configured to move the base unit on the surface, and an upper body having a dust collection container disposed therein. The upper body is supported so as to be tiltable relative to the base unit and is lockable in a parked position in which the vacuum cleaner has a substantially upright position when standing on the surface. A motor-fan unit is configured to provide a partial vacuum at the surface. An air conduit connecting the base unit and the dust collection container includes an interface and a section formed by a hose or an assembly of the hose and a wand. The section is configured to enable a vacuuming mode of operation that is independent of the base unit. A tubular member forming at least part of a transition between the hose and the upper body. The clamp includes closing means including an aperture in one of the band end portions and a projection on the other band end portion to engage the aperture in a closed condition of the clamp and hold the mutually overlapping band end portions upon one another.
