  • Publication number: 20120305255
Abstract: The invention describes a method for treating near-wellbore zones involving the steps of injecting a magnesium metal with a catalyst into the desired area of the formation to be treated. Subsequently, combustive-oxidizing solution (COS) is injected into the zone of the formation to be treated. The COS initially reacts with the magnesium, which in turn initiates a vigorous oxidation reaction of the COS. The reaction gases and heat produced by the COS oxidation reaction are harnessed to enhance the productivity of the well by creating fractures in the treatment zone and by melting of paraffin and resin deposits in the treatment zone. As a final step, acid is injected into the formation to react with the formation thereby further enhancing the porosity of the fractures. In one embodiment, the COS uses ammonium nitrate as the oxidizer, and in another, urea or ethylene glycol may be added as a reaction fuel.

  • Publication number: 20120305259
Abstract: A wellhead system for producing hydrocarbons from a subterranean formation that includes concentric tubulars that form an annulus. The annulus is vented by flowing fluid from the annulus through a bleed line having a valve that is selectively opened and closed. Upstream of the bleed line valve, the bleed line is routed adjacent a production flow line. The temperature of the fluid in the production flow line is greater than annulus temperature and warms the bleed line. Hydrate formation in the bleed line is thereby inhibited by the thermal energy it receives from the production flow line.

They further include temporary and permanent reparative measures aiming at salvaging the oil well, whose work and economic involvements are far from normal dimensions. The novelty, simplicity, and workability in situations when none such consolations exist, the instant inventions are worthy of a try by all measures. The author inventor, also has to invent a suitable aphorism, to write along with: ‘When there is a thunder storm, rain or hail, a mansion may await . . . yet a shelter had to be found, even if a doll house.

Abstract: A downhole sleeve has an insert movable in the sleeve's bore from a closed condition to an opened condition when a ball dropped in the bore engages an indexing seat in the sliding sleeve. In the closed condition, the insert prevents communication between the bore and the sleeve's port, while the insert in the opened condition permits communication between the bore and port. Keys of a seat extend into the bore to engage the ball and to move the insert open. After opening, the keys retract so the ball can pass through the sleeve to another cluster sleeve or to an isolation sleeve of an assembly. Insets or buttons disposed in the sleeve's port temporarily maintain fluid pressure in the sleeve's bore so that a cluster of sleeves can be opened before treatment fluid dislodges the button to treat the surrounding formation through the open port.

Abstract: Solder wires are conveyed from insert openings for allowing the solder wires to be inserted toward discharge openings from which the solder wires are discharged and the solder wires project. The projecting wires are cut with first cutting blades and the solder inserted into the insert openings are cut with second cutting blades. This enables fixed cutting stress on a portion of the solder wires to be cut with the first cutting blades and a portion of the solder wires to be cut with the second cutting blades at the same time to prevent deformation of the cut surface of the cut solder wires. Solder columns having a column shape and having a uniform length along a conveying direction thereof can be manufactured.
