Abstract: A protective undergarment (10), shown in the form of shorts, includes integrally formed protective panels (22, 26, 30) that exhibit slash-proof properties. The protective areas (22, 26, 30) are made from a flexible Kevlar® knit or the like, and extend to cover the groin, crotch, substantial areas of the buttocks and the inner thigh regions of both legs. The protective panels (22, 26, 30) are externally snitched to a low thermal burden material (18, 20), such as a polyester mesh, that provides elasticity and completes the structure of the shorts (10). The Kevlar® knit is flexible and preferably lies directly against the skin of a user to provide blast wave and ballistic fragment deflection whilst permitting mobility in a lightweight arrangement. Varying thickness of the Kevlar® knit can be used in the protective areas (22, 26, 30) selectively to enhance protection against blast wave and fragment penetration.

Abstract: A glove employable for both striking and grappling incorporates an articulation hinge for enabling the glove to transition between a clinched fist position for striking and an unclenched open position for grappling. The glove additional incorporates a removable absorbent liner that may be worn over the user's hand for absorbing sweat. The liner may be removed after use and laundered.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a combination bib and bottle holder, using a unique adjustable three strap support system for holding a bottle, cup, Sippy cup, or snack cup near to a child or adult to allow them to drink or eat at leisure without dropping the container. The primary feature of this invention is to allow toddlers six months to 3 years to feed themselves. The support straps fastened onto the front of the bib securely hold bottles or cups of varying shapes and sizes. The bib is fastened around the neck. The wearer is free to move around and to manipulate and drink or eat from the container in the bib holder. The bib design includes form fitting curved sides which allows the user to freely manipulate the bib and feeding container to drink or eat from it. Embodiments permit the bib to be used by persons who cannot hold a container because of a physical or mental impairment that limits their ability to feed themselves.

Abstract: A leg handle with preferably hollow cylindrical sections, is used to aid in lifting a jumping player, especially for lineouts in Rugby. The handles are made of one or more foam sausages attached to a thin stretch fabric sleeve which is placed on the leg of the jumper and when jumping allow for secure grasp by lifters. The simple, reusable, easy to use leg handles provide effectiveness, comfort, convenience, and safety. Leg handles are applied to one or more legs of a jumper and held in place with tape. When the jumper jumps, one or more lifters lift and support the jumper in the jump while the jumper attempts to intercept a ball and safely lower the jumper. Leg handles are embodied with a single sausage; a lower front sausage and a higher back sausage; or a pair of sausages integrated into legs of compression shorts.

Abstract: The inventive concept is directed to a decorative accessory which is attached to a shoe upper to enhance the appearance of the same. In one embodiment there are studs passed through ventilation holes of the upper and each end of a decorative chain is attached to opposed studs in such manner to form a catenary. The studs have on their top decorative items attached thereto. In another embodiment clips are attached to shoe laces located at an upper end of the upper. Each of the clips has an eyelet thereon so that ends of a decorative chain can be attached thereto and again to form a catenary. In each embodiment, the decorative chains receive additional decorative elements.

Abstract: Described is a multi-function device for attachment to the tank of a toilet fixture. The multi-function device provides a diffusible air-treatment concentrate for deodorizing or otherwise treating the ambient air surrounding the toilet. At the same time, the multi-function device provides a water-soluble water-treatment concentrate for treating the flush water stored in the toilet tank. The multi-function device has an indicator to advise the consumer when replacement of user serviceable parts, such as the water treatment concentrate and the air treatment concentrate, is needed. The device comprises a buoyant, tubular attachment that clamps onto a pool cover leading edge that connects to a series of straps to create a rigging, which forms into a single pool cover tether for the user to pull when deploying the cover. The tether is an elongated section of material that is pulled by a single user, wherein the rigging and tubular attachment distributes tension uniformly along the pool cover leading edge. The trailing edge of the cover may be unfurled from a roll or alternatively deployed from a stacked configuration, wherein the trailing edge may also include a buoyant tubular attachment.

Abstract: A moisture detection and alarming system connected to a person-support apparatus has been described. The system comprises a moisture detection sheet connected to at least one pressure sensor, at least moisture sensor and a controller. The pressure sensor can be configured to send a signal to the controller. The controller can be configured to receive the pressure signal from the pressure sensor and determine the presence of a person supported on the person support apparatus. If a person is supported on the person-support apparatus then a moisture sensor is activated by the controller to sense the moisture content on a mattress pad. If the moisture content on the mattress pad is out of a predefined range then an alarming unit can be activated. The controller may further be connected to at least one of a hospital network, communication station and nurse call system.

Abstract: A commercial steam-cleaning laundry machine is configured to use steam instead of dry-cleaning chemicals or water as a primary cleaning agent for garments rotating in a drum of the commercial steam-cleaning laundry machine. In one embodiment of the invention, a steam injector at least partially exposed to an inner surface of the drum is configured to provide a MCU-controlled fresh steam injection into the drum during a cleaning cycle of the commercial steam-cleaning laundry machine. The fresh steam into the commercial steam-cleaning laundry machine is from an outtake of a standalone boiler system which is typically used for a variety of fabric treatment machines in a commercial laundry operation. A debris and clean steam/air separation chamber periodically or continuously separates and/or filters debris, chemicals, and/or other undesirable elements from the drum and evacuates clean or cleaned-up air and moistures to au air-out duct.
