Abstract: A vehicle wiper assembly includes a wiper blade configured to wipe a surface, an armature, and an actuator. The armature has a first end spaced from a second end, and is coupled with the wiper blade at the first end, and coupled to a pivot mechanism at the second end. The pivot mechanism is configured to allow the wiper blade to articulate about the second end in a direction substantially away from the surface and between a wiping position and a parked position. The actuator is provided in mechanical communication with the armature and is configured to receive an electrical actuation signal to transition the wiper blade between a wiping position and the parked position, where the wiper blade is in contact with the surface while in the wiping position, and is separated from the surface while in the parked position.

Abstract: An article of manufacture to retrofit a mounting bolt into an enlarged bracket bolt hole defined by an enlarged bracket bolt hole diameter in a mounting bracket includes a main body defined by a first side and a second side, a main body diameter, and a main body height. The article includes a hub extending from the second side of the main body, the hub being defined by a hub diameter and a hub height. The hub diameter is less than the main body diameter, and the hub diameter is selected to fit within the enlarged bracket bolt hole diameter and to provide a total clearance between the hub and the enlarged bracket bolt hole of less than 0.05 inches. The article further includes a bushing bolt hole opening defined through the main body and the hub, and a land defined on the first side of the main body.

Abstract: The present invention provides a disassembling tool including a cylinder and a clamping assembly. The cylinder includes two ear members, two pivoting holes, a casing hole and an opening. The clamping assembly includes two pulling arms and a clamping arm. The two pulling arms have a linking relation with the clamping arm. The clamping arm has a teeth section, used for increasing a fixing ability of the clamping arm. After fixing the tie rod in the cylinder, the two pulling arms drive the clamping arm pivot with respect to the pivoting hole. When the clamping arm pivots, the teeth section of the clamping arm clamps the tie rod, forcing the tie rod to rotate and become loosened. Because the clamping arm can completely pivot over the casing hole, the disassembling tool can easily disassemble not only tie rods with various sizes, but tie rods with even smaller sizes.

Abstract: A rivet setter that can efficiently and smoothly perform, and reduce the takt time for a rivet setting operation. The rivet setter can be configured to set a rivet sequentially fed from a rivet supplying means by inserting the rivet into apertures formed at predetermined positions on workpieces. The rivet setter can have delivery paths for delivering the rivet one by one by sliding the rivet down to a settable position and can have a hanging support portion formed in the settable position in the tip end of the delivery path for supporting the head of rivet and for hanging the rivet shank downward. The rivet setter can be configured to enable the rivet to be set in the apertures of the workpieces by moving the hanging support portion substantially horizontally while keeping the rivet suspended in the hanging support portion and inserted into the apertures of the workpieces.

Abstract: Polymer-based materials and processes suitable for producing panels, for example, panels for use in a fan shroud abradable seal of a turbofan engine. Such a process includes introducing constituents of an expandable foam material into a continuous forming apparatus that continuously compounds the constituents into a partially-cured compounded polymeric material, which is then continuously formed with the continuous forming apparatus to produce a continuous form having a constant cross-sectional shape transverse to a continuous forming direction of the continuous forming apparatus. A portion of the continuous form is then deformed to produce a preform, and the preform is cured within a restricted volume to cause the preform to expand and produce the panel.
