Abstract: A method and device are provided to produce stacks composed of printed products. Printed products are supplied substantially vertically and in an overlapping flow with the aid of a first conveying device continuously to an essentially horizontally extending stack support. A stack is formed at the stack support, where the printed products are at least approximately lined up in an upright position. The stack on the stack support is transported with a second conveying device moving at a forward-feed speed and in a forward-feed direction. The stack is supported along a leading stack end against a support device that also moves in the forward-feed direction. A third conveyor acts upon a region of a lower edge of at least one printed product, which impacts the stack support, to move the at least one printed product in the forward-feed direction of the stack with a speed that corresponds at least to the forward-feed speed of the stack.

Abstract: A container conveying system for transporting baggage items in containers has at least one unloading station and/or a loading station for loading or unloading the container. The baggage item lies on an endless supporting belt which is guided transversely to the transporting direction of the container so as to be drivable about a deflection roller arranged on both sides of the container, wherein, for driving in the region of the loading and/or unloading station, a stationary drive is provided which is in operative connection during the loading and/or unloading operation with a drive element for the supporting belt that is provided on the container.

Abstract: This invention provides a vacuum belt media transport system wherein the media is held on the belt via vacuum pressure. The vacuum force is higher at the media acquisition location and is lower at the subsequent media transport and delivery stage. The vacuum pressure is provided by vacuum plenums located in the system causing vacuum pressure through holes in the belt throughout its length.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure generally provide a variable phase step feeder including a fixed set of stairs and a moving set of stairs. The fixed set of stairs may include a first fixed step, a second fixed step, and a third fixed step. The moving set of stairs may be interposed between the fixed set of stairs, and include a first moving step adapted to transport a workpiece from the first fixed step to the second fixed step and a second moving step adapted to transport the workpiece from the second fixed step to the third fixed step. The variable phase step feeder may further include a control mechanism for adjusting a phase relationship of the first moving step relative to the second moving step.

Abstract: A sputter tray moving system includes a sputter tray, a guide disposed under the sputter tray and including a groove, a pulley engaged with the groove of the guide and a buffer member disposed between the sputter tray and the guide. The sputter tray is moved when the pulley engaged with the groove of the guide is rotated in a rotation direction.

Abstract: A slat segment is disclosed for use in packaging machines which dispense discrete pharmaceuticals, vitamin, or food products into containers. The slat segment is comprised of a straight elongated bar, whose first surface contains a plurality of substantially cylindrical cavities separated by adjacent walls. Discrete products ready for packaging are deposited into contoured intake flutes which guide the pharmaceuticals, vitamin, or food products into the cavities within the slat segment. The products are then dispensed from the slat segment via contoured disposal flutes connected to each cavity, to eventually be deposited into containers being conveyed proximate the packaging machine. Salient thermal radiation blocks are arranged along a second surface of the slat segment, along with thermal radiation webs, which facilitate conduction of thermal radiation away from the slat segment. The slat segment thereby maintains maximum strength and stability and minimizes necessary maintenance of the slat.

Abstract: A device for conveying products 2, particularly food products, has a horizontal conveying path supported by a base and having a drive 1 substantially extending in the horizontal direction, wherein the drive 1 is reversibly driven, and is associated with at least one auxiliary conveyor device 3, 4 also supported by the base. The device has a conveying belt 5 for the product 2 driven by a drive, and having rails and carriers 3, 4 to laterally support and carry the product 2 a distance from the drive 1.

Abstract: The invention relates to a container clamp (2) or container clip provided on conveying elements in container filling installations for receiving the neck of a container, particularly a bottle, each clamp (2) or clip comprising a bearing block (3). The aim of the invention is to protect such installations by special clamping designs so that improper strain would result in the failure of only a single clamp and any further damage to the installations could be avoided. Said aim is achieved in that the bearing block (3) comprises holding elements (8, 9) which detach at least partially from the bearing and holding device (10, 11) when a lateral pivoting range or a lateral force is exceeded, wherein the bearing block (3) or the container clamp (2) or container clip is released to fall on the ground.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved flat package of petri dishes and method of producing the same for prolonging shelf life and preservation of sterility of the petri dishes. The flat package is comprised of an optically clear, high-barrier, moisture-, gas- and microbial-resistant pouch. A plurality of petri dishes located adjacent one another are placed in an interior cavity of the pouch, after which the pouch is vacuum-packed, optionally flushed with an inert gas and then heat sealed. The placement and immobilization of the petri dishes in the pouch allow for prolonged shelf life and preservation of sterility, greatly reduced breakage rates, and enhanced visibility of the petri dishes by a user.

Abstract: An easy to carry lightweight carton for shipping and storing cut paper and for providing rapid and easy access to the paper when the carton is opened. The carton has a base portion and a lid pivotally attached to the base portion. The lid has a tear strip being defined by two parallel successive rows of inclined cut lines. Each of the inclined cut lines having a length (K) and further being spaced apart by a distance (D) wherein the ratio of D/K is from 1:2 to 4:1. A front wall of the carton may be pivoted down when the lid is pivoted up to facilitate access to the contents of the carton for ease of unloading of paper from the carton. A carry handle is built into the lid to facilitate carrying of the carton. The carton may be re-closed after it is opened.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a cap assembly mounted on a discharging portion of a container for containing an ingredient different from that in accommodated in a container, which comprise a cap body having a housing formed with a chamber for storage of a secondary ingredient, a closing element provided at a lower end opening of the housing for opening the lower end opening under pressure so as to open the lower end opening.

Abstract: A multi-functional bottle contains two separate compartments, a first compartment for water or liquid storage, and a second compartment or holding chamber, for storage of a powdered formula. The doubled-walled holding chamber is comprised of a flexible, food-grade polymer. The holding chamber has a closed bottom-end, forming the bottle's base, and an open, sealable top-end for addition of the powdered formula, and for release of the powdered formula for mixing when so desired. Sealable top-end forms an airtight seal with an agitator cap. The agitator cap can easily be released by firmly pressing (depressing) the bottom-end of the holding chamber (and bottle), allowing the user to now mix the powdered formula with the water with a single hand.

Abstract: A cigarette paper pack for storing and supplying cigarette paper sheets for the self-rolling of cigarettes includes a container. The container comprises an insertion opening, the insertion opening comprising a latching protrusion, and at least one stack of cigarette paper sheets. An uppermost layer of the at least one stack of cigarette paper sheets extends through at least one removal opening assigned thereto in a wall. The wall is configured to form an upper side of the container during the use thereof. A recloseable cover is connected to the container. The reclosable cover comprises an insertion tab which comprises a latching opening. The reclosable covering is configured to be pivoted about a periphery so as to form a hinge axis. The insertion tab is configured to be inserted into the insertion opening. The latching opening and the latching protrusion are configured to form a latching device.

The pack comprises a body (4) and a lid (5) each having respective front (12,22), back (13,23) and opposing side panels (11A,11B,21A,21B). The back panel of the lid (3) is hinged to the back panel of the body. At least one side panel of the lid is provided with an inner tab (201A,201B) extending substantially coplanar with the side panel of the lid to resist opening of the lid.

Abstract: A ball display case has base and a cover that is securable to the base. When the cover is secured to the base, the cover and base at least partially enclose a space for holding a ball. The case has a pedestal for supporting a ball in the enclosed space. The elevation of the pedestal relative to the base is optionally adjustable. An irreversible lock is adapted for selective application to at least one of the base and the cover such that the lock assumes a locking position that prevents non-destructive removal of the cover from the base. One suitable lock includes a plate having a plurality of recessed areas spaced radially about the plate and a plurality of posts extending away from the plate. Each post is in general radial alignment with one of the recessed areas of the plate and spaced radially inward from the recessed area.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a receiving spacer layer for a mobile electronic device and a bag combined with the receiving spaced layer. The receiving spacer layer includes a protection pad which is made of a soft foam material and has a first accommodation space to receive a first electronic device, and a bag fabric is connected to the first accommodation space to receive the first electronic device. The receiving spacer layer is combined with the inside of the bag. The bag has a second accommodation space to receive a second electronic device, such as a notebook computer. The first and accommodation spaces are able to accommodate two mobile electronic devices. The present invention is convenient for use and can be carried with ease.

Abstract: A package of specialty shingles is provided, preferably for containing hip, ridge or rake shingles, with support in the bottom of the package for the shingles that is complementary to the lower ends of nested, stacked shingles in the package. Shaped constraining devices are provided, for retaining the shape of shingles in the package. An assembly of packages of the specialty shingles is provided, in a tray arrangement, and a pallet assembly of various levels of such packages disposed on a pallet are also provided.

Abstract: A package for a medical device having a handle and an elongated shaft. The package includes a holster for holding the medical device, the holster having a tubular member for receiving the elongated shaft and a handle cover located at a proximal end thereof. The handle cover has a holster opening for accessing the handle to draw the medical device from the holster. The package includes a pouch having a sealed area bounded by a top sealed edge, a bottom sealed edge, a pair of side sealed edges extending between the top and bottom sealed edges, and at least one opening tab spaced from the bottom sealed edge. The medical device and the holster are disposed within the sealed area of the pouch with the elongated shaft of the medical device extending along the bottom sealed edge and the holster opening being located adjacent the at least one opening tab.

Abstract: A dispenser container assembly for storing and dispensing a medical/dental device comprises a support section, including first and second opposed clamshell halves pivoted together at a flexible hinge. Each clamshell half has a contact edge mating with a like contact edge of an opposed half to form a contained space therein. Each contact edge also has a feature mating with a like feature of an opposed contact edge to produce a mounting aperture for supporting a medical/dental device within the contained space. A cap section has a closed end and an open end that engages the support section to maintain the first and second opposed clamshell halves in a closed condition and to enclose an exterior portion of the medical/dental device supported in the mounting aperture of the support section.

Abstract: A blister pack for dispensing pills that is childproof yet senior-friendly. The blister pack includes a housing, which may be substantially tear-resistant, that encloses one or more blisters contained on a blister sheet. In one embodiment, the cavities of the blisters are positioned such that pills or other objects are dispensed into a chamber. A neck extends outward from the chamber to permit a childproof cap to be removably attached thereto to permit the selective dispensing of the pills in a controlled fashion. In another embodiment, the blister pack may include a chamber for dispensing a first type of pill and a plurality of blisters not aligned with the chamber for dispensing a second type of pill.

Abstract: The invention provides a method of improving a flotation separation process. The method involves PAPEMP, a material previously thought to only be of use in controlling scale deposit on surfaces of equipment used in cyanide leaching. In the invention the PAPEMP is added to the flotation separation process for improved sulfide mineral separation. Not only does the addition of PAPEMP improve the overall recovery of sulfide complexed metals in flotation, but by doing so it also reduces the energy requirements and adds other efficiencies to other downstream ore processing and refining steps. This has the added benefit of helping to preserve the environment.

Abstract: A rack for holding and displaying cookbooks. The rack is generally comprised of a shelf unit, a swivel arm, a slide and a tray. The swivel arm is pivotally attached to the base of shelf. The slide fits over the swivel arm and is able to slide the length of the swivel arm. The tray is attached to the slide and can display a cookbook or fold up into the shelf unit for easy storage.

In another form, the shelving system includes a base, vertical members attached to the base, and a retrofitting shelf attached to the vertical members. In yet another form, the method for displaying items on a shelving system includes attaching a retrofitting shelf to the shelving system and placing items on the supporting unit of the retrofitting shelf.

Abstract: A cable management frame assembly comprising a collapsible frame chassis and a plurality of positionally configurable cable management fixtures that can be affixed to the frame chassis without the use of tools or additional hardware such screws, nuts or bolts. A panel mount allows patch panels and equipment to be mounted to the frame chassis without the use of tools or additional hardware.

Abstract: The hoist attachment for skid steer includes a base frame with a mounting bracket and ball joint brackets to securely mount the hoist attachment to the skid steer. A telescoping boom is pivotally mounted to the top of the base frame. A pipe rack may be disposed adjacent the top of the base frame to store pipes or additional equipment. Pairs of hydraulic and manual support legs are attached to the base frame to stabilize the hoist attachment during working conditions. The power source for the hoist attachment is directly supplied by the hydraulic system in the skid steers. The hoist attachment includes controls operating the primary winch, boom, and hydraulic support legs. The base frame also includes a plug to which a remote may be attached for remote operation, the plug being connected to an electrical power source.

The groove slopes gradually downward along the radial sidewall and away from an opening into the container. The container may also include a kick out feature engagable with a tamper-evidence band. A closure member is adapted to selectively mate with the finish on the container. At least one thread is formed on the closure member.

Abstract: A ruggedized case for transportation and protection of electronic equipment used in harsh commercial or military environments. The ruggedized case is 30-70% lighter than other similar competing cases through the use of lightweight, low-density, superior strength composite materials. The ruggedized case includes a multi-panel case body open at each end and two removable covers. A chassis which may be vibration and shock isolated, and a removable rack mount frame are also provided. Each component of this ruggedized case, including recessed cover latches, and handles, weather and airtight seals, adjustable rack mount frame lock mechanisms, and vibration isolators, have been significantly improved to provide more ergonomic form and functionality.

Abstract: A packaging system for providing lateral support for a packaged appliance is provided. The packaging system comprises a carton sized to fit around the appliance and having opposing side walls, each having an aperture extending there through; a cross brace having opposing ends and a hollow interior space at each end, the cross brace extending between the first pair of opposing sidewalls such that the cross brace hollow interior space at each end communicates with an aperture; and a pair of plugs, each plug having an elongated body and a flange extending laterally from an end of the elongated body, the flange located adjacent the exterior surface of one of the first pair of opposing side walls, the body of the plug extending through the corresponding aperture and within the hollow interior space of one end of the cross brace so that together the plugs position and secure the cross brace within the carton.

Abstract: A technique for allowing the convenient and orderly withdrawal of contents is disclosed. An apparatus according to the technique may include a container which includes an enhancement at the rim of the container. The enhancement provides the functionality to move edible and/or inedible substances onto objects. In one example, the enhancement may protrude inwardly as a smoothed surface that may push substances onto objects as the objects are removed from the container.

Abstract: An inverted bottle holder is described for holding a bottle with a neck upside down inside a container having an exterior wall. The bottle holder includes a clip having an inner wall and an outer wall spaced to accept the exterior wall of the container in between, wherein the clip is formed having a diameter corresponding to the diameter of the container, and a deck connected to the clip and extending into the container, the deck including an aperture sized to accept the neck of the bottle, such that the bottle is held upside down in the container when inserted into the aperture.

Abstract: Carrying aids may be used with containers that include a wire bail pivotably attached to the container. The carrying aids may include a body configured to engage the bail and be grasped by a grasping hand to suspend the container in a first position. The body may be configured to transfer a torque from a grasping hand to the bail. The torque may pivot the bail relative to the container while lifting the container relative to a grasping hand from the first position to a second position above the first position. In some examples, the bail, with the body mounted thereon, may be pivoted down proximate the sidewall of the container such that the body engages a thumb of a grasping hand and presses the hand against the sidewall to stabilize and support the container relative to the grasping hand.

Abstract: A handle attached to cookware piece configured to position the cookware piece within a larger cookware piece in a nested arrangement. The handle may include a body having a slot disposed within a bottom surface of the handle body. The slot may be configured such that when a smaller cookware piece is positioned within a larger cookware piece, an upper edge the smaller cookware piece is equal to or less than the same height of an upper edge of the larger cookware piece. The smaller cookware piece may be held by the slot within the larger cookware piece in a substantially horizontal orientation.

Abstract: An apparatus and method are disclosed and pertain to a lid for use with a container having a rim and an opening where volatile esters from an aromatic compound are dispersing into the environment and for enhancing the identification of the volatile esters. The lid is comprised of a generally planar laterally stabilized gas restrictive material for decreasing the dispersion rate of the volatile esters, resulting in increased concentration of the volatile esters within the container and enhancing the identification of the volatile esters emitted from the aromatic compound. The lid includes a surface for coupling to the rim in a manner that laterally stabilizes the lid so that it remains sufficiently fixed to the rim during agitation of the container. The surface also permits the lid to be removed from the rim.

Abstract: A glove incorporating a roll of waste bags and ties on a rotatable spool contained within a pocket integrated on a palm side of the glove. The spool pocket is proximate a pathway having a first and second opening through which the waste bags may be individually pulled and removed from the spool for utilization as a package for solid animal waste. The ties may extend through the pathway or may extend through an opening in the pocket for access by a user.
