Abstract: There is disclosed a method, an apparatus, a server, a client and a non-transitory computer readable medium comprising a computer program stored therein for multi view video coding and decoding. View random access (VRA) pictures or access units are coded into a multiview bitstream. VRA pictures enable starting the decoding of a subset of the views present in the bitstream. The views selected to be accessible in VRA pictures are alternated in successive VRA pictures so that all views are gradually reconstructed when two or more VRA pictures have been decoded.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of 2D to 3D conversion, in particular discloses a method of converting 2D into 3D based on image motion information. The method comprises: S1, obtaining a depth value of each pixel of the input 2D image based on a method of motion estimation; S2, accumulating the depth value of each pixel in accordance with a luminance value of each pixel to obtain a depth image of the input 2D image; S3, reconstructing a left eye and/or a right eye image based on a reconstruction of depth image in accordance with the depth image obtained in the step of S2; S4, combining the left eye image and the right eye image obtained in the step of S4 and outputting a combined image to obtain the 3D image. In the method herein, due to the accumulation process of the depth value obtained by the motion estimation, the resulted depth image is continuous and dense, which improves the quality of the reconstructed image and the 3D visual effect.

Abstract: A video receiver receives a compressed 3D video comprising a base view video and a residual view video from a video transmitter. The video receiver decodes the received base view video and an enhancement view video of the received compressed 3D video into a left view video and a right view video. Base view pictures are generated selectively based on available memory resource. The residual view video is generated by subtracting base view pictures from corresponding enhancement view pictures. The received base view and residual view videos are buffered for video decoding. Pictures in the buffered residual view video are added to corresponding pictures in the buffered base view video for enhancement view decoding. The left view video and/or the right view video are generated from the resulting decoded base view and enhancement view pictures. Abstract: A system prepares plant specimens, tracks the plant specimens, captures images of the plant specimens, and evaluates growth parameters of the plant specimens in the captured images. The system prepares receptacles by placing a predetermined quantity of gel, if required by a particular test, into a receptacle and a layer of material, if required by a particular test, on top of the gel. The system separates a quantity of seeds into individual seeds and places an individual seed in each receptacle between the gel layer and the cover layer. The receptacles are then arrayed into decks and carts and subjected to controlled stress conditions and conditions conducive to germination and growth. An image capture device captures backlit images of the receptacles, and a processor analyzes the captured images for growth parameters of the plant specimens and enters those parameters into a database together with a unique identifier of the plant specimen.
