Abstract: A duct section can be assembled from duct pieces without lifting or turning the duct pieces during assembly. For example, a duct assembler is provided to hold the duct pieces at an ergonomic working height. The duct assembler includes a frame, a mast, a carriage, and tines protruding horizontally from the carriage. The mast is vertically extensible to raise and lower the tines, so as to select a working height. Moreover, the mast can be vertically extensible to raise an assembled duct section into position for installation. A non-contact positioning system and an integrated computer may be provided to aid a worker in preparing and positioning the duct section.

Abstract: In a component mounting method and apparatus capable of mounting components on a board having a non-planar component mounting surface, a board holding table in a board holding device is turned based on board holding device information and board information to direct a normal line to a mounting portion on the non-planar component mounting surface in the vertical direction. Thus, after being picked up and moved by a component loading device onto the normal line to the mounting portion, a component can be mounted through a movement of the component loading device in the vertical direction only. Further, compensation amounts for the position of the mounting portion are calculated based on a turn amount, the board holding device information and the board information, and a compensated mounting position is calculated from the compensation amounts and the board information accurately in the horizontal and vertical directions.

Abstract: A level clip is disclosed for securing along the edge of a wall-hanging substrate for the purpose of leveling the substrate. The clip includes a body having a substrate-receiving slot and a contact surface. The clip also supports a bubble level so that it is aligned with the contact surface. The user inserts the edge of the substrate into the slot so that the edge of the substrate abuts evenly with the contact surface, thereby allowing the bubble level to convey level-alignment information in response to rotational movement of the substrate. Resilient outer arms adjacent to the slot create friction to help hold the clip in place.

Abstract: Dryers are intended to operate in a manner in which energy is saved and laundry is treated gently. To this end, it is necessary to regulate the drying process in an optimum manner on the basis of the drying parameters and to find the time point for terminating the drying process which is most favourable for the laundry in question. The invention makes provision for at least one factor to be formed from a plurality of drying parameters and for the drying process to be terminated and/or for the drying process to be regulated on the basis of this factor. The factor can be formed by computer from a few drying parameters which are easy to detect, and regulation can be carried out in a simple manner with little expenditure on the basis of the factor by way of simple comparison with a setpoint value.
