The article is formed from a thermoplastic composition that includes a first polymer that is a polycarbonate, a second polymer that is a polyphthalatecarbonate, a perfluoroakyl sulfonate salt; and a cyclic siloxane compound. The thermoplastic has a light transmittance at a thickness of 3.2 mm of at least 86% according to ASTM D1003-11E1, a UL94 flammability rating of V0, a notched Izod impact strength at a thickness of 3.2 mm of at least 500 ?m according to ASTM D256-05 with a 2.27 kg weight at a, and a heat deflection temperature at a thickness of 3.2 mm of at least 160° C. according to ASTM D648-06 under a load of 0.45 MPa.

In some configurations, at least a portion of the back area may be formed from the material. Abstract: A method of manufacturing a compression garment comprises obtaining a plurality of model measurements at various locations on a model body. Thereafter, a plurality of garment dimensions are calculated for various locations on the garment. Each calculation of a garment dimension is based at least in part on one of the plurality of model measurements and at least in part on a target elongation for the garment. In at least one embodiment, calculations for various garment dimensions are performed by inserting the plurality of model measurements into a pattern equation that includes a model measurement variable and a target elongation variable. After calculating garment dimensions, a plurality of fabric segments are prepared for the garment based on the calculated dimensions. Each of the plurality of fabric sections comprise elastane and are characterized by a modulus of elasticity.

Abstract: A helmet contains impact attenuating fluid (e.g., CO2, Air or Water) containing cells, sensors and electrically actuated exhaust valves for cushioning impact and decelerating a wearer's head after an impact. Accelerometers and a pressure sensor supply signals to a microcontroller, which opens an exhaust valve if accelerations (or pressure) exceed a threshold. Expelling fluid provides a cushioning and damping effect, decelerating the wearer's head. Acceleration data, fluid pressure data and GPS position data may be wirelessly communicated to a monitor computer system.

Abstract: A cushion, using magnetic friction as base protection is specifically tested and designed for use in helmets to minimize the risk of concussions. The cushion can be used in a two layer helmet where the magnets are used to repel the impact normally taken straight to the head. The magnets can be placed in between the layers to not only take the impact, but also give that force back towards the source, creating a cushion like no other helmet. With this two-layer system, one can measure that the first layer of magnets takes the hit and uses the second layer to push back off of. This movement that the helmet takes significantly improves protection of the brain as compared to conventional helmets.

At least one water propeller turbine is installed inside the channels and configured to recirculate water from the water pool through the channels and back to the water pool. The system comprises guiding plates installed on the floor. Waves of different shapes including breaking waves are generated by varying velocities of different water current and controlling guiding plates.

Abstract: A supplemental pillow for preventing the hair of a user from making contact with a sleeping surface is provided. The pillow includes a cylindrical body, an elevated middle section, and a detachable strap. The pillow can be positioned under a conventional sleeping pillow to create an elevated sleeping surface. The strap can be used to transport the pillow, condense the pillow for storage or travel, or secure the pillow to a conventional sleeping pillow. The elevated middle section is made of a less dense filler than the body of the pillow, which provides a soft sleeping surface. The middle section also acts as a wedge against a user's neck to retain the positioning of the pillow on top of the sleeping pillow when the detachable strap is not in use.

Abstract: A clamping system for releasably affixing a replaceable sheet to the exterior of a pillow case to provide a replaceable sleeping or resting surface. Two opposing frame members that can be magnetically engaged together are positioned on opposite sides of the pillow case. A replaceable sheet can be positioned between the exterior frame member and the pillow to engage the replaceable sheet to the exterior of the pillow case. The frames can be pulled apart to release and replace the replaceable sheet. A stack of replaceable sheets can be clipped with the frames such that a fresh sleeping surface can be provided simply by removing the top most sheet.

In operation a first stream (36) of the fluidizing medium (30) is admitted to the first chamber (34) and a second stream (42) of the fluidizing medium (30) is admitting to the second chamber (40). By admitting the fluidizing medium (30) to the chambers in a phased, cyclic fashion the benefits of lateral rotation are achieved in a fluidizable bed (10).

The multi-purpose paint can tool of the present invention generally comprises a piston shaft that is axially movable within a tubular housing. The tubular housing may comprise a can lid opening implement on its distal end. Thereafter, axial movement of the piston shaft by user interaction with a gripping knob and lid tamping implement on the distal end of the piston shaft allows at least one piercing spike at the distal end of the piston shaft to penetrate the lower rim portion of a conventional paint can. The gripping knob and lid tamping implement may then be used to tamp the lid back onto the paint can when the painting project is completed.

Abstract: This extractor is a simple-to-use tool that aids in removing a pipeline inspection gauge (“pig”) from a pipeline. A standard hitch ball (or other protuberance) is affixed to the pig providing an attachment point for the extractor. Upon arrival of the pig into a receiver, the extractor is inserted into the receiver and centered over the pig's hitch ball. When pushed onto the hitch ball, the extractor's pulling bars are forced apart and out in angled pulling bar slots. Once the extractor's pulling bars pass the midpoint of the hitch ball, extension springs provide tension to the ends of the pulling bars urging them to slide closer together in the angled pulling bar slots. The angled pulling bar slots ensure the pulling bars are at their narrowest point and securely attached to the hitch ball when the extractor is pulled from the receiver thereby permitting pig removal.

The wheel attachment member, is attached to a wheel of the trolley by inserting screws through screw apertures located on its radially extending arms. A golfer touches his golf club head to the brush and pulls the golf trolley, causing the brush to rotate, and cleaning the golf club. The golfer may touch cleats of golf shoes to the invention, thereby cleaning away dirt.
