Publication number: 20140048452Abstract: Systems and methods for coal liquefaction are provided. According to one embodiment, coal is introduced into a plasma furnace. A plasma energy field is generated within the plasma furnace by causing an electrical discharge between a pair of arc rods located within the plasma furnace and positioned above the coal. Hydrocarbons contained within the coal are separated from the coal by causing the plasma energy field to penetrate the coal and heat the coal to a temperature sufficient to liquefy the hydrocarbons by focusing and drawing the plasma energy field through the coal with a magnetic field created proximate to the coal. The liquefied hydrocarbons are then captured.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 29, 2013Publication date: February 20, 2014Applicant: GREEN TECHNOLOGY LLCInventors: John Lee Horning, Jan H. Publication number: 20140048456Abstract: A plant/herb sifting apparatus and method is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a containment unit having at least two levels of a sifting means; the containment unit comprising a primary containment, a secondary containment and a collection base to sift and refine a plant/herb component by a vibrating and agitation means. The apparatus further comprises a platform unit supporting the vibration and agitation means to which the containment unit is removably attached. The platform unit comprises a base and deck. The base houses a gear motor that provides the agitation through a connected arm to the deck, while a vibrator motor mounted to the deck provides a vibration motion. The levels of sifting means within the containment unit, comprise separated sieves increasing in fineness from top to bottom. The apparatus operates to sift under vibration and rapid agitation motions, providing an efficient sifting procedure to obtain a desired refined plant/herb component.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 15, 2012Publication date: February 20, 2014Inventors: Michael A. Publication number: 20140048457Abstract: A packaged chip detection and classification device includes a rotation unit for transporting a plurality of packaged chips, a packaged chip detection unit, and a packaged chip classification unit. The rotation unit includes a rotary turntable, a plurality of receiving portions formed on the rotary turntable, and a plurality of suction-exhaust openings respectively formed in the receiving portions. Each receiving portion is used to selectively receive at least one of the packaged chips. The packaged chip detection unit includes a packaged chip detection module adjacent to the rotation unit for detecting each packaged chip. The packaged chip classification unit includes a packaged chip classification module adjacent to the rotation unit for classifying the packaged chips. Therefore, the packaged chip detection and classification device can be used to detect and classify no-lead packaged chips by matching the rotation unit, the packaged chip detection unit, and the packaged chip classification unit.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 18, 2013Publication date: February 20, 2014Applicant: YOUNGTEK ELECTRONICS CORPORATIONInventors: Bily WANG, Kuei-Pao CHEN, Hsin-Cheng CHEN
