It's yields are generally high and consistent. ‘Uzi’ leaves exhibit burn due to salt damage, but this does not seem to affect the growth or yield of the ‘Hass’ variety.

An algorithmic implementation of this can take the form of creation of a look-up table that stores all the scattering information of all two-dimensional objects needed for the synthesis of the electromagnetic scattered field from the original three-dimensional object. The domain is decomposed into edges, where pre-calculated electromagnetic field from the diffraction of isolated edges is recycled in the synthesis of the near diffracted field from arbitrary two-dimensional diffracting geometries. The invention has particular applicability in die-to-database inspection where an actual image of a mask is compared with a synthesized image that takes imaging artifacts of comers, edges and proximity into account.

Abstract: A method for monitoring shipments of a plurality of components and enabling assembly of the plurality of components. The method can include the steps of encoding a unique identifier and specification information on each component into a data storage of a GPS device; encoding assembly instructions for each component; attaching the GPS device to the component; actuating each GPS device to provide a longitude and latitude signal to a network; tracking the location of each component; shipping the components while tracking the location of the components until the components reach a designated location; and retrieving from each component assembly instructions, specification information, and inspection information. The method can include assembling the components using the assembly instructions at the designated location, and forming a record of each route used by each component.

Abstract: Eyewear is provided having a frame that can releasably engage a lens. The frame can have an engagement mechanism that includes an active restraint member and a passive restraint member. The active restraint member can have a first component and a second component that are operatively coupled together such that the first and second components rotate together between open and closed positions. The second component can also be configured to slide relative to the first component to engage a portion the frame when the first and second components are in the closed position to maintain the lens fitted against the frame.

The elbow pad includes padding material and a substantially J-shaped preferential fold line. The preferential fold line is configured so that the padding material bends along the preferential fold line to cup the wearer's elbow. The elbow pad may have multiple layers. The elbow pad may be attached to an upper body garment, and may be done so as to fill an opening in a sleeve portion of the garment.

Abstract: Examples of a nursing cover are described, including a cover having a top edge and a stiffener comprised of a shape memory material having a material memory coupled to the cover using a securing mechanism to prevent the stiffener from rotating. In one embodiment, the material memory causes the stiffener to assume a pre-determined shape, to temporarily deform without breaking the stiffener when force is applied to the stiffener, and to reassume the pre-determined shape. In one embodiment, an end of the stiffener provides a substantially smooth surface to prevent abrasion.

Abstract: Hosiery that includes a legwear portion and a waistband secured to the legwear portion. The waistband is made of an elastic material having an unfinished upper edge. The waistband also has an unfinished lower edge that is secured to the legwear portion at a seam that allows the hosiery to lay substantially flat against a wearer's body. The unfinished upper edge of the waistband can provide the wearer with greater comfort relative to conventional hosiery having finished upper edges, which often results in visible and uncomfortable restriction. This hybrid construction also allows the waistband to have varying width around its circumference to compensate for shortcomings of a legwear portion made using conventional tube-construction techniques and/or, when the waistband has a lower stretchability than the legwear portion, to compensate for this lower stretchability.

Abstract: A patient positioning device provided to position, protect and secure a patient on a support surface for transfer to another support surface or for preparation for surgery. The positioning device includes a sheet with a first and second flexible substrate coupled to the sheet's top surface. The first and second flexible substrates may be padded. These substrates are capable of wrapping around an adjacent arm of the patient creating a wrapped engagement. This wrapped engagement may pad, protect, secure and elevate the arms from injury caused by pressure imparted thereon during surgery or transport. This positioning device may be lifted or slid from one support surface to another. Optionally, a third and fourth flexible substrate capable of wrapping around an adjacent arm of the patient creating a second wrapped engagement may be used for additional securing.
