A method of constructing the combination precast and cast-in-place concrete foundation structures involves receiving at a construction site a precast concrete foundation unit having elongated upright wall members that define a channel therebetween, and multiple upright supports located within the channel; placing the precast concrete foundation unit at a desired use location; delivering concrete into the channel while the precast concrete foundation unit remains at the desired use location; and allowing the concrete to cure-in-place such that the elongated upright wall members are connected to the cured-in-place concrete by reinforcement embedded within both the cured-in-place concrete and the upright wall members. The bridge units may be placed before the pouring step to embed the bottoms of the bridge units in the cast-in-place concrete.

The disclosed hinge can therefore be used as a flush mount hinge with minimal alteration to the objects to which it is coupled. The hinge can also be used as a top mount hinge with fewer safety issues in, for example, boating operations, where the hinge may be located in an area typically walked upon by people or animals. The disclosed hinge is easy to manufacture because the small arms require less force to curl, and yet the hinge portions can remain relatively thick to couple together heavy objects requiring high structural stability.

    Abstract: A carrying aid that transfers weight from a load supported by shoulder straps, such as a backpack or portable tree stand, and a method of using such to offset the weight of a deer stand or back pack to the user's hip area is disclosed. The carrying aid includes a weight supporting region and a fastener region. The weight supporting region forms a trough around a portion of the load to hold it in place. A fastener attaches the carrying aid to the user's belt. The carrying aid is easy to attach and remove from the user's belt and the load is easily placed in the weight supporting region. The carrying aid is lightweight and easily stored when not in use. This method of using a carrying aid is particularly useful for deer hunters or nature enthusiasts carrying shoulder strap-supported portable tree stands.

    Abstract: An IV bag/line safety device including a tag set and a bag attacher removably connected to the tag set. The tag set includes a plurality of tags printed with the name of an IV solution. The bag attacher is configured to attach the safety device to an IV bag containing the IV solution printed on the tags. After attachment, the safety device provides visual cues to a user inviting the user to disconnect the tags from the safety device. After disconnecting one or more of the tags, the user may attach those tags to an IV tubing line connected to the IV bag through which the IV solution contained in the IV bag flows from the IV bag into a patient. This enables the user to quickly identify a given IV tubing line having at least one tag attached thereto as containing a particular IV solution.

    Abstract: Device and method are disclosed for feeding drippers into a produced dripping line in speeds as high as 1800-2000 drippers a minute. The drippers are fed into the production line by a cylindrical feeder equipped with a helix worm made on its cylindrical face, which is adapted to engage the helix into a respective recession or protrusion made on a dripper, and to linearly forward it toward a dripping pipe production section while providing accurate control on the speed of movement of the dripper and the spacing between each two consecutive drippers in the produced pipe. The use of a helical worm to engage the drippers provides smooth and gradual mechanical engagement of the feeding device with each dripper, thus ensuring silent and non-vibrating assembly even when in very high production speeds.
