Abstract: A dry suit having detachable or permanent zippered compression flaps. The compression flaps can be disposed over the front or the back of a dry suit. The compression flaps are used to gather and hide excess dry suit materials and dry zipper ends under the compression flaps. The compression flaps form a tunnel around the wearer under which a kayak spray skirt or a kite boarding/surfboarding harness can be worn.

Abstract: A combat helmet may be constructed of a composite material with embedded metal plates Inner and outer shells of woven fibers bound with a thermoset or thermoplastic composite may sandwich titanium or other metal plates to form the helmet. The fibers may include aramid and other fibers that may be laid up in multiple layers. The helmet may be composed of multiple flat faces, and the metal plates may be sheet metal components.

Abstract: A safety glove is described, in which steel or hardened plastic or resin caps attach to the underlying glove and provide crush, cut, and bend resistance to the fingers of the wearer. The protective caps cover at least the fingers and thumb of the wearer, and can extend up to the back of the users hand, and attach to the underlying glove via readily adaptable attachment means, such as straps or snaps. The underlying glove may be made of cloth, leather, synthetic materials, or for waterproof purposes, plastic or rubber.

Abstract: An athletic compression fit pants/shorts with gussets constructed out of moisture-wicking, high-performance fabrics with varying elasticities, cut-resistant fabrics, and protective pads. Each of the gussets have a function and targets specific leg muscles to provide a desired benefit in the overall performance of the present invention. The gussets are named: 1.) Quadriceps gusset; 2.) Sartorius and Abductor Magnus gusset; 3.) Gluteus Medius gusset; 4.) Gluteus Maximus and Hamstring gusset.

Abstract: A sports bra configured to be worn by a human female includes a body fabric and a wear indicator. The wear indicator is configured to change colors when the useful life of the sports bra has expired and the sports bra should be replaced with a new sports bra. The wear indicator may be provided on any of various components of the sports bra, such as a color band, trim feature, tag, or other sports bra component.

Abstract: A nonslip garment is disclosed which prevents the garment from slipping off its wearer. The garment may be fashioned as an infant sock which has at least one nonslip member on the interior top portion of the sock so as to make contact with the top of the wearer's arch bone. The nonslip member is preferably curved and covers the top side interior portions of the sock as well as at least a portion of the heel surface of the sock, however various configurations are disclosed. An infant scratchglove is also disclosed which preferably has at least one nonslip member on the interior portion of the scratchglove adjacent to the opening of the scratchglove.

Abstract: Fabrics are disclosed having a liner with a polymeric coating, the coating comprising 0.25 to 8 ridges per cm and pits at an area density of 20 to 2500 cm2. The fabrics provide good friction in oily conditions. Also dis-closed are methods for producing such fabrics comprising applying to a liner a liquid comprising water and a precursor of a polymeric material, contacting the liquid on the liner with a water-sorbing material and curing the polymeric coating. The fabrics may fmd use in gloves.

Abstract: Disclosed is a glove having a rubber or resin coated on the surface of a fiber-made glove, wherein a stretchable yarn is knitted at least into the wrist area of the fiber-made glove, the stretchable yarn having a rubber or resin coated thereon, and wherein a difference in level occurring at the boundary portion between the areas where the stretchable yarn is knitted and where it is not knitted is 210 ?m or less. The glove of the present invention is a chemical-resistant, support-type glove in which no cracks or pin holes are formed at the boundary portion between the areas where the stretchable yarn is knitted and where it is not knitted, and which is superior in chemical permeation-resistance property and has a high degree of safety.

The hat includes a bill. The sport cap further includes a securement strap of an inelastic webbing coupled to the headband at a center of a forward area of the forehead region, and adapted to circumscribe the wearer's head between the forehead region and a lower occipital bone region below the headband and above a nape of the wearer. The securement strap further includes a number of cushions coupled with the inelastic webbing, each cushion being positioned between the securement strap and the wearer's head at least at the forehead region and at side regions near the wearer's ears.

Abstract: This invention is an undergarment that embraces the gay male lifestyle by promoting safe sex in a provocatively expressive manner. This garment is unique in several respects. First, it provides a snap-close condom pocket on the outside casing waistband in the back to make it easily accessible to a sexual partner while incorporating the fashion trend of visibility of the top part of the underwear when wearing low cut or baggy pants. Second, it utilizes two erotically placed slide fasteners located in the front and back specially designed to be comfortable, prevent hair or skin from getting caught and to make the sexual organs accessible in a novel and exciting way. Third, the crotch area is contoured to make the wearer more alluring and enhance the aesthetics of the overall look of the undergarment. There are five claims submitted with six drawings.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided for use in an impact sport head protector. The device includes a tilt sensor that generates at least one output signal representing tilt orientation of the head protector. A processor is configured to sample and process the tilt sensor output signal(s) over a number of successive cycles to determine whether the head protector is in an unsafe position during a given cycle and to generate an alarm signal based on such determination at least for the given cycle. An audio device is configured to produce an audible alarm in response to such alarm signal. The processor is configured to remove the effect of noise components in the tilt sensor output signal(s) in generating the alarm signal. The processor can also be configured to constrain the time delay that the head protector is in an unsafe position before raising the alarm signal.

Abstract: The present invention relates to goggles, preferably extra-orbital goggles, having an outer surface defined by a pair of lens portions each having an upper and a lower peripheral wall. The upper and lower peripheral walls extend to an upper and lower peripheral edge respectively which, in use, are in contact with the wearers face. The outer surface defined by the upper peripheral walls is convex. This contributes to a goggle outer surface which is a smooth curve.

Abstract: Goggles, goggle frames, and methods for adjusting a fit of a goggle frame are disclosed. In an example goggle, the goggle includes a frame and a lens. The frame includes a lens receiving portion and a face contact portion. The face contact portion includes a nose recess including an adjustable member for changing a contour of the face contact portion. The lens is configured to be mounted to the lens receiving portion. In an example goggle frame, the goggle frame includes a lens opening for mounting a lens thereto and a nose recess portion including a fit adjustment member. The fit adjustment member is configured to be deformed from an undeformed shape to a deformed shape and to retain the deformed shape.

Abstract: An eye cover for use in an aquatic environment is provided. In certain embodiments, the eye cover comprises an elastic headband configured to be worn around a wearer's head and configured in use to cover or surround the wearer's eyes. The elastic headband can be configured to provide an at least water-resistant seal around the wearer's eyes. At least one eye chamber disposed on a surface of the headband that in use faces the wearer's eyes can further be provided. The at least one eye chamber permit the wearer's eyes to remain open when the headband covers the wearer's eyes. The at least one eye chamber comprises a flange extending from the headband, wherein the flange is configured to provide at least a water-resistant seal around the wearer's eye.

Abstract: A protective crawling garment that protects the front side of a baby and the baby's clothes. The garment comprises an article of clothing that is worn over the front of the baby's body over the clothes. The upper part of the article may be removed and may be used separately when desired. The lower part of the article includes cushioning leg pads that provide protection for the baby's skin and knees from the friction produced when crawling.

Abstract: The sanitization mechanism of the toilet seat is using control circuit(s) to ensure an enclosed compartment between toilet seat and toilet cover then activating UV LEDs to sanitize the toilet seat. In addition to safe operation, fast response and effective sanitization, it can reduce toilet seat paper or restroom chemicals consumption, especially in high traffic public locations.

The motor causes rotation of the arm and the foil for generating waves that travel away from the motor and towards an outer edge of the pool. The foil may be formed in the shape of a scoop and configured to adjust its angle relative to the arm via one or more angular adjustment connections with the arm. Multiple arms and/or foils may be used to generate waves in the wave pool. The wave pool has a deeper body of water located adjacent to the motor and a shallower body of water adjacent to the outer perimeter.

Abstract: A wave generating apparatus mobile application controller and method is provided in which a mobile controller actuates a plurality of wave generating chambers in sequence using a delay between actuation of each chamber to produce a rideable wave in a pool. The mobile application controller allows the user to select the exact type of wave to be produced by the wave generator apparatus by selecting size, shape, and pattern of the wave. The application also allows the user to use a camera to photograph or record herself or someone else, even while riding a wave.

Abstract: A bathtub is provided of the walk-in type, wherein the bathtub includes an internal dam element that allows a user to segment the bathtub into a first and second compartment and operably utilize the bathtub as a sit-down tub or as a standing shower. An entry door provides access into the bathtub without requiring users to lift their legs during entry, while the dam element allows the user to fill the first compartment of the tub and prepare it for use before entering the bathtub interior. The second compartment remains empty as the first compartment fills with water, whereafter the user can enter the empty second compartment and remove the dam element after closing the entry door. The bathtub further comprises a first and second drain for independently draining the first and second compartments and allowing the user to exit the tub while the first compartment is still draining.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a sensor module, a transmission module, a flow reduction module, and a flow return module. The sensor module senses presence of a shower item on a shelf in a shower and senses a lack of presence of the shower item on the shelf. The transmission module wirelessly transmits an item missing signal. The item missing signal is transmitted in response to sensing a lack of presence of the shower item on the shelf. The flow reduction module reduces water flow to a shower head in the shower from a first flow level to a reduced flow level in response to wirelessly receiving the item missing signal. The flow return module returns water flow to the first flow level in response to expiration of a restore time delay or wirelessly receiving an item return signal in response to sensing a presence of the shower item on the shelf.

Abstract: This invention relates to home furnishings and accessories that utilize corner space of a shower stall as a support platform. The support platform may include a top support surface with two sides positioned to contact two perpendicular walls of the corner. A support frame may connect to the top support surface such that the bottom of the support frame and the top support surface are offset from one another. This offset configuration of the support platform may prevent the support frame from interfering with anything in the area directly below the top support surface.

The patient support apparatus may be in communication with a server that is in communication with multiple patient support apparatuses so that the server is operable to selectively enable therapies on various patient support apparatuses.

Abstract: A device for positioning and immobilizing the head of patient on a treatment table is disclosed. The device comprises a bridge member, a longitudinal arm, and two transverse arms. The bridge member is releasably mounted on the treatment table. The longitudinal arm is pivotably coupled to the upper portion of the bridge member and is arranged to be pivoted from one side of the bridge member to the other side of it, and vice versa, above the patient's head. The transverse arms are releasably secured to the longitudinal arm and are positionable along a portion of the length of the longitudinal arm. Each transverse arm is rotatable about its longitudinal axis and mounts an anatomy engagement component, e.g., a nasion pad or a bite tray, thereon which can be moved into engagement with the patient's head.

The device may translate the weight of the user's head from a head portion to a shoulder portion via a neck portion.

Abstract: The present embodiment is a therapeutic cushion for relieving lower back pain. The therapeutic cushion comprises a flat, elongated base, a rounded arc, and two semicircles slopping downwards on both sides of a rounded arc. The flat, elongated base of the therapeutic cushion is positioned on a surface of mattresses, sofas, and seats. When a user utilizes the therapeutic cushion in the supine position, the rounded arc elevates the lumbar spine, thus providing support for the lumbar area. The two semicircles serve to provide support for the sacroiliac joint and upper lumbar area.

Abstract: A washing machine and a control method thereof, capable of reducing noise by performing a zero-current control during the braking of a motor, and checking whether a vibration sensor is installed on a tub in a weight detection state in the beginning of a spin-drying. The zero-current control is performed by driving a current regulator with a command current set to “0 A”, so that the current flowing at the motor decreases and thus noise is reduced. In a washing machine having a vibration sensor fixedly attached to a tub, a fixation state of the vibration sensor with respect to the tub is checked in advance by use of measurement data of the vibration sensor at a weight detection stage in the beginning of the spin drying so that the frame touch caused by an erroneous detection of vibration or a failure of vibration detection may be prevented.

Abstract: Disclosed are a laundry treatment machine and a method of operating the same. The method of operating a laundry treatment machine includes rotating a drum at a first velocity, forcibly vibrating the drum using a forced vibration generation signal during a first velocity rotating section, and determining whether to accelerate or decelerate the drum after forced vibration. Through this method, laundry position may be determined.
