  • Patent number: 8790472
Abstract: [Problems] A conventional process for producing a solder preform in which a predetermined amount of high-melting metal particles are directly put into molten solder and stirred, requires a long time for dispersing the high-melting metal particles by stirring. Therefore, in the conventional method for producing a solder preform, dissolution of the high-melting metal particles into the molten solder occurred during stirring, and their particle diameters became small. If a semiconductor chip and a substrate are soldered with a solder preform containing metal particles having such decreased diameters, the space between portions being soldered becomes narrow, and a sufficient bonding strength is not obtained. [Means for Solving the Problems] In the present invention, a premixed master alloy having a higher proportion of the high-melting metal particles in solder is first prepared, then the premixed master alloy is put into molten solder to disperse the high-melting metal particles.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention provide a novel method for forming a loop member of a hook-and-loop fastener assembly. According to one embodiment, the method comprises continuously providing a plurality of yarns in a predetermined pattern; plastically deforming the yarns into a desired loop shape; continuously providing a web of substrate; and directly securing the yarns that have been plastically deformed into a desired loop shape to the substrate with a bonding process, thereby a loop member of a hook-and-loop fastener assembly having both a high fastening strength and a high engagement stability may be manufactured speedily, massively and at a low cost. The embodiments of the present invention also provide an apparatus for performing the method.

  • Patent number: 8790476
Abstract: Mold-free resin-insulated coil windings are obtained by applying continuous fibers embedded in a quasi-solid-state epoxy-resin matrix, e.g. in the form of a tape, to the coil windings. The tape is locally heated up to the melting point of its polymer matrix, and is subsequently pressed against the winding body. The heated and fused resin of the tape, which is pressed onto the coil, flows under pressure into the voids and gaps between the coil windings and fills them up, thereby hermetically insulating the coil windings. After leaving the heating and pressing apparatus the fused epoxy resin becomes solid again. The resulting curing process is thus considerably simplified and shortened, compared to the state of the art.

  • Patent number: 8790477
Abstract: A vacuum heat insulator small in limitation in shape of applicable objects, and wide in application is presented. A vacuum heat insulator is formed of a plurality of core members of thickness of 5 mm or less made of glass fiber shaped nearly in a regular octagonal shape, being coated with a gas barrier enveloping member and evacuated in side. The core members are shaped in octagon, and disposed in lattice layout at specified intervals so as to form folding lines in four directions of vertical, lateral and oblique 45-degree directions, parallel to each side. In order that the plurality of core members may be located in independent spaces individually, the entire surface of the enveloping member around the core members is formed as heat seal parts, and it is foldable in four directions and is flexible. By cutting the heat seal parts along the core members so as to leave about 3 mm in the periphery, a vacuum heat insulator of any desired shape and wide effective heat insulating area can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 8790478
Abstract: The present invention relates to a transfer printing method and a system using the method for printing images on a workpiece with supercritical fluid. The method includes disposing the workpiece inside the first mold and disposing a transfer film above the workpiece, closing the first mold with a second mold and injecting pressured gas, whose pressure is greater than a critical pressure, into the first mold and the second mold, ensuring a temperature of the pressured gas being greater than a critical temperature so as to convert into supercritical fluid, softening the transfer film with the supercritical fluid, transferring an adhesive layer, a print layer and a hardening layer of the transfer film onto the workpiece, and opening the first mold and the second mold to take out the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 8790479
Abstract: An object is to provide a manufacturing method of a functional film where it is possible to stably manufacture a functional film which favorably exhibits the intended function and has excellent optical characteristics. The problem is solved by forming an uppermost organic layer of an organic layer with a thickness of 30 to 300 nm by using a coating material containing a surfactant where the content is 0.01 to 10 mass % when the uppermost organic layer is formed.
