Abstract: A new garden rose plant of the climbing class which has abundant, red flowers and attractive foliage. This new and distinct variety has shown to be uniform and stable in the resulting generations from asexual propagation.

Abstract: The variety ‘TH-819’ achieves 50% ripening in late April in southern Georgia. The new variety flowers relatively early, with the date of 50% flowering before the date of 50% flowering for ‘Rebel’ and ‘Star’. ‘TH-819’ has good flavored berries and a berry size that is good, but typically smaller than the size of berries of ‘Emerald’.

Abstract: The new blueberry plant variety ‘Top Shelf’ is provided. ‘Top Shelf’ is a commercial variety intended for the hand harvest market. The variety has jumbo-sized sky-blue fruit with excellent flavor. ‘Top Shelf’ ripens mid-season, and holds up well in storage trials. The plant is vigorous, with an upright, vase shaped growth habit, and has an estimated chilling requirement of 700 to 1,000 hours.

The new cultivar readily can be distinguished from other plants of the Buxus microphylla species in view of its particularly dense growth habit and smaller dark green foliage. Attractive deep green foliage is formed which well retains its coloration throughout the year in the absence of any substantial color change during the winter. Excellent winter hardiness to at least U.S.D.A. Hardiness Zone No. 5 is displayed. The plant is well suited for providing attractive ornamentation in the landscape throughout the year, even in the coldest months.

Using the measured electrical characteristic, a device is able to select an appropriate communication interface, such as serial, Universal Serial Bus (USB), FireWire, parallel, PS/2, etc., and configure itself appropriately. Systems and methods which determine the physical orientation of a connector with respect to another connector may also be provided alone or in combination with such systems and methods for selecting communication interfaces. The physical orientation of a connector can be determined by measuring an electrical characteristic and a device can then configure itself appropriately. In accordance with the principles of the present invention, device designs can decrease in size and cost as well as simplify operation for the end-user.

Abstract: A standard fitting toilet commode made with a hardly-noticeable integrated elongated vertical auxiliary chamber located below and behind the seat. The chamber is with a plugged external top opening at the toilet bowl's rear rim behind the seat, and another internal upper side opening connecting with the commode's drain above and downstream of the water siphon. For optional conversion into a self-ventilating toilet, a compact electric fan unit is retrofitted behind the toilet seat and secured thereto at the seat anchor holes. A single intake nozzle sucks toilet bowl gases from under the rear of toilet seat, through the electric fan, and out into the auxiliary chamber's external opening through an exhaust pipe which converts the chamber into a bottle water trap. A built-in detection sensor, an electronic control unit, and a solenoid valve manage the electric fan's operation and the bottle water trap's replenishment with water.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to improved water closet flanges and methods for installing such water closet flanges. In one exemplary embodiment, an improved water closet flange apparatus includes an outer flange and a flexible conduit portion (i.e. sleeve) extending downwardly therefrom. The flexible sleeve has a sufficient degree of flexibility to accommodate connection between offset, misaligned, angled, or otherwise incongruous plumbing fixture discharges and waste drain pipe outlets. In one embodiment, the flexible sleeve includes at least one corrugated portion to aid the desired flexibility. An upper portion of the flexible sleeve may include an inwardly extending lip portion to accommodate the desired seal between the plumbing fixture discharge and the flange apparatus. Related methods for installing the disclosed flange apparatus between plumbing fixture discharges and waste drainpipes are also described.

The diverter valve is adapted to change a rate of flow of liquid supplied to the exit port.

The lower edge of the downwardly depending sidewall is situated substantially in registry with an upper edge of the prefabricated shower module sidewall, which lies in a plane that is substantially contiguous with a plane formed by the downwardly depending sidewall of the bench. The combination provides a contiguous surface over which finishing material such as shower tile may be installed.

The frame is configurable for orientations ranging continuously between horizontal and upright sitting. The web assembly has an upper web contacting the individual, a lower web contacting the support surface, a strength layer carrying the individual's weight, and a roller nose bar assembly which is pulled to extend the web assembly. A hand-held power tool can drive the web assembly, adjustment of inclinations of the back and leg sections of the frame, and vertical motion of the lift arm.

The T-shape includes a wide flange forming the large member of the T-shape with a short flange extending outwardly from the wide flange at about the center thereof. At the intersection of the wide and short flanges, two fillets are formed therebetween that are similar in shape and have a series of circular arcs having predetermined radii and the circular arcs meet together forming a straight line along the longitudinal length of the structural member. The presence and shape of the fillets improves the strength and manufacturability of the T-shaped bed frame structural member or members.

The control system comprises a touch-screen display segmented into a main menu portion and a data window portion. The therapeutic functions are represented by touch selectable buttons on the main menu portion. When any of these buttons are selected, a plurality of adjustable operating parameters appears in the data window portion. At the same time, the buttons corresponding to the therapeutic functions in the main menu portion remain visible such that an operator can easily select another therapeutic function. A method of tracking the therapeutic functions performed is provided.

Abstract: A therapeutic mattress assembly comprising a mattress having a substrate assembly that includes a plurality of cylinders positioned side by side over the length of the mattress. Each cylinder is configured as a low air loss system to allow air to flow into the cylinder from a source and out of the cylinder through small holes located on the top of each cylinder. An overlay assembly provides a foam cushion that provides a supporting surface above the substrate assembly for the patient. A calf lift bladder operates to effectively raise or lower the patient's feet to prevent pressure related injuries. A lateral rotation assembly selectively raises and lowers a selected half of the mattress to turn patients in a lateral direction. A bolster inflates in response to the lateral rotation assembly to secure the patient within the mattress.
