A sweat channel extends continuously from the top band to the ejection port. The sweat channel is made of a hydrophilic material embedded with ions effective to attract body sweat into the sweat channel. Separate cut-resistant front and rear shields may be integrated into front and rear regions of the sock.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a protective glove, which has different polymer layers arranged in a multi-layered polymer composite material. According to the present disclosure, the protective glove contains polyvinyl alcohol and a protective layer on top of this containing a fluorinated elastomer. The present disclosure also relates to a method for manufacturing a protective glove of this kind. The combination of various polymers and their arrangement in the polymer composite material achieve a powerful protective action against a multitude of chemical compound classes while simultaneously producing advantageous mechanical properties.

A zipper closure includes a first closure member releasably coupled to a second closure member. The first closure member is positioned on a mid-portion of the first fabric portion and the second closure member is positioned on a mid-portion of the second fabric portion. A first slider is positioned on one side of the zipper closure and a second slider is positioned on an opposite side of the zipper closure. The zipper arrangement may be used to fasten and unfasten a front right garment portion and a front left garment portion by moving the sliders in opposing directions.

Abstract: An ANSI/ISEA 107-2010-compliant garment includes a body defining two armholes and having a placket that further defines a neckhole. Male and female snap elements are arrayed in opposed relationship on the placket so as to function as fasteners holding opposing portions of the placket together when the male and female elements are joined. The body includes a front tail and a rear tail. The rear tail is cut to be longer than the front tail to lend greater rain and wind protection to the wearer. The body includes two breast pockets being first patch pockets and having first flap covers, as well as two hand warming pockets. The hand warming pockets are patch pockets oriented to receive hands with wrists aligned at an angle comfortable to the wearer and a second patch pocket has a second flap cover and overlays the hand warming pocket.

Abstract: A golf glove is disclosed, provided with an elasticated strap for releasable attachment thereto. Part of the strap is arranged or arrangable as a loop for placement over a user's hand or wrist to allow the glove to hang freely beneath the hand or wrist when not being worn. The strap may be located within a chamber so that it is held relatively taught against the glove and extends when a user inserts their hand into the loop formed by the strap, and retracts into the chamber when the hand is removed.

Abstract: Described herein are sweat-diverting devices which can be adhered to a wearer by an adhesive. The sweat-diverting devices described here may be adhered over a portion of the face without circumscribing the head. Such sweat-diverting devices may comprise one or more curves or other features that conform to the facial features of the wearer. In some variations, a sweat-diverting device is configured to be worn at various heights on the forehead, over or under the brow line, and/or over the eyes. A sweat-diverting device can also be used in pairs, for example, where one device is positioned over each eye. Sun-shading devices, with or without sweat-diverting features, are also described.

The underwear structure has a body portion, a waistband secured to the body portion, and first and second leg openings formed in the body portion, all of which could be resiliently stretchable as could be the phallus retention aperture. One or more panels of substantially non-stretch or inelastic material can partially or completely surround the phallus retention aperture to provide localized stabilization. The garment structure can be formed with one or more layers of elastic material, and at least one layer of substantially inelastic material forming the stabilization portion can be fixed to the layer of elastic material adjacent to the phallus retention aperture, such as by stitching in a pattern.

The shield is affixed to the collection member at predetermined connection points along a periphery of the shield whereby urine flows between the connection points from the urine meter to the collection member. The shield may be affixed to an internal surface of the bag. The shield may be spot welded to the collection member at the connection points. The shield may include at least a first slot configured to permit the passage of fluid therethrough.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an odor extractor apparatus to be installed in a toilet, particularly to the type of toilet assembly that has both a bowl (3) and a water tank (2). Although this invention uses a mechanical fan (9) to force the gases through an exhaust pipe (12), as other inventions do, it does it by an innovative basic architecture. In essence it comprises an exhaust system activated by the user presence, plus a water-air duct segment (1) inserted between the water tank (2) and the bowl (3). This duct segment (1) also presents an output (7) that allows the unpleasant gases but not the water, to flow into the aforementioned exhaust system. This apparatus may well be retrofit to used toilets in the field or acquired pre-installed to factory new units.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for controlling fecal odors in an enclosed space, such as a pit latrine, include providing an oxidizer, such as a catalytic heater and an optional mechanical ventilation unit, such as an inline fan, both flow connected to a vault (pit) of the latrine. The heater is also connected to a source of fuel, for example, propane. Fresh air is drawn through vents in the latrine housing and thereafter through toilets in the latrine and through the vault, providing oxygen for the reaction. The fan and/or oxidation process draws both fresh air and accompanying odorous compounds directly from the latrine and into the oxidizer wherein the odorous components are substantially destroyed.

Abstract: An apparatus and procedure for disabled, impaired or handicapped persons in reaching or maintaining a standing or partially standing position. The apparatus includes a knee support and a movable torso support that is operatively connected to an actuator arrangement. The actuator arrangement moves the torso support in a vertical range of positions independently of the horizontal position of the torso support and in a horizontal range of positions independently of the vertical position of the torso support. The user engages the torso support during the raising movement during which the torso support moves simultaneously forward and upward until the person has reached a position in which he is substantially standing whilst leaning forward over the torso support (and vice versa for the lowering procedure). The torso support can also be rotated during the movement. The apparatus is provided with an identification system for identifying the person to be assisted.

Abstract: An apparatus and procedure for disabled, impaired or handicapped persons in reaching or maintaining a standing or partially standing position. The apparatus includes a knee support and a movable torso support that is connected to an actuator arrangement. The actuator arrangement moves the torso support in a vertical range of positions independently of the horizontal position of the torso support and in a horizontal range of positions independently of the vertical position of the torso support. The user engages the torso support during the raising movement during which the torso support moves simultaneously forward and upward until he is substantially standing whilst leaning forward over the torso support (and vice versa for the lowering procedure). The torso support can also be rotated, independently of the vertical and horizontal position of the torso support. The apparatus is provided with a load sensing system monitoring self-participation of the user.

Abstract: A lift apparatus has a frame with open sides and a web assembly slidably retained along the sides which extends from one end of the frame to the other. While the web assembly is retracted, the frame moves to pass around a mobility-impaired individual and rest against the surface supporting the individual. The web assembly is then extended to move underneath or behind the individual, providing lifting support. The frame is configurable for orientations ranging continuously between horizontal and upright sitting. The web assembly has an upper web contacting the individual, a lower web contacting the support surface, a strength layer carrying the individual's weight, and a roller nose bar assembly which is pulled to extend the web assembly. A hand-held power tool can drive the web assembly, adjustment of inclinations of the back and leg sections of the frame, and vertical motion of the lift arm.
