Abstract: A method, for cleaning a pool with N vertical walls using a robot, comprising adjusting the robot against the vertical wall of rank n=1. The robot advances along the vertical wall of rank n until the vertical wall of rank n+1 is detected. The robot retracts over a release distance in order to be released from the vertical wall of rank n+1. The robot makes a rotation on itself in order to be adjusted against the vertical wall of rank n+1. Checking whether n is equal to N, in the negative case, the cleaning method continues with an incrementation step where “n” is incremented by “1”, and then looping onto the advancement step. In the positive case, the cleaning method continues with a finishing step where the robot advances along the vertical wall of rank “1” until the vertical wall of rank “2” is detected.

Abstract: A solid wire is for gas-shielded arc welding, using a shielding gas, and for galvanized steel sheet welding. The solid wire comprises, to the mass of the whole of the solid wire, predetermined amount of C, Si, Mn, P, S, O, and Cr, with the balance consisting Fe and inevitable impurities. The solid wire satisfies “1.0?(percentage by mass of Si+that by mass of Mn)/{100(that by mass of S+that by mass of O}?4.0” and “0.50?percentage by mass of Mn/that by mass of Si?2.00”. The shielding gas is an Ar gas comprising 25 to 40% of CO2 gas. It is achieved to improve spatter-decreasing performance and pore-resisting performance (performance of restraining the generation of porosity defects, such as pits and blowholes).

Abstract: A tool welding system is disclosed that includes a table that heats a tool. A multi-axis robot includes a welding head that is moved relative to the table in response to a command. A controller is in communication with the robot and generates the command in response to welding parameters. The weld parameters are based upon a difference between an initial tool shape and a desired tool shape. The difference between the initial tool shape and the desired tool shape corresponds to a desired weld shape. The desired weld shape is adjusted based upon initial tool shape variations, which includes thermal growth of the tool. The tool is welded to provide the desired weld shape to achieve a desired tool shape.

Abstract: A method of cutting a cut member out of an original sheet by means of thermal cutting and machining, and includes a hole-cutting process, a finishing process, and an outer periphery-cutting process. During the hole-cutting process, a hole is created in the original sheet by means of thermal cutting while leaving a machining allowance in addition to the finished size of the hole. During the finishing process, a cutting tool is inserted into the hole which has been created through the hole-cutting process, and the cutting tool is guided along the inner circumference of the hole so as to cut the thermally-cut end surface in order to machine the hole to the finished size. During the outer periphery-cutting process, the outer periphery of the cut member is cut by means of thermal cutting to take the cut member out of the original sheet.
