Publication number: 20150027112Abstract: Pressure compensating valves not fully closing at the stroke end are employed, and upon the operators operation for the traveling, pilot primary pressure is reduced and supplied to remote control valves 34c-34h of non-travel operating devices. Thus, the inflow of the hydraulic fluid into non-travel actuators is suppressed and a necessary amount of hydraulic fluid for travel motors is secured in travel combined operation. Accordingly, when saturation occurs in a construction machine's hydraulic drive system performing the load sensing control due to combined operation with a great load pressure difference between two actuators, deceleration/stoppage of an actuator on the low load pressure side is prevented by preventing full closure of the pressure compensating valve on the low load pressure side, while also preventing deceleration/stoppage of a high load pressure actuator by securing a necessary amount of hydraulic fluid for the high load pressure actuator.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 1, 2013Publication date: January 29, 2015Inventors: Yoshifumi Takebayashi, Kiwamu Takahashi, Kazushige Mori, Natsuki Nakamura

Publication number: 20150027121Abstract: A system is disclosed that incorporates a regenerative Rankine cycle integrated with a conventional combined cycle. An added duct firing array, typically located after the combustion turbine exhaust and before the conventionally designed Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG), is used to boost enthalpy of said exhaust. An added heating element downstream of the firing array provides sufficient heating for sensible heating, evaporation and superheating of feedwater that has been previously heated by feedwater heaters as part of a regenerative Rankine cycle. In practice, the condensate stream from the condenser is bifurcated such that a dedicated feedwater flow is directed to feedwater heaters. After further heating in the added heating element, the superheated steam, at the same pressure and temperature as the main steam, is now mixed with the main steam prior to turbine entry. The condensate is directed to the HRSG to be heated in conventional fashion.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 24, 2013Publication date: January 29, 2015Inventors: Mark Joseph Skowronski, Ronald Farris Kincaid

Publication number: 20150027125Abstract: A boat or ship (marine vessel) can be powered and propelled by using wind or solar energy. This propulsion results in the forward movement and six degrees of motion (roll, heave, pitch, yaw, surge, and sway) of the marine vessel. These motions have kinetic energy. This invention capitalizes on the fact that the solar wind and wave energy are cyclical by nature. The present invention enables the vessel to store energy harvested from these energy sources during periods when levels of energy is available from wind, solar, or the motion of the vessel in waves. This invention makes this stored energy available for use during periods when the external natural sources of energy (wind, wave, or solar) are not available in adequate quantities to maintain a reasonable speed of advance for the marine vessel. The harvesting of the energy during high energy cycles, storing it and using it when needed in this invention allows a marine vessel to get maximum speed of advance over a course.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 24, 2014Publication date: January 29, 2015Inventor: ANIL RAJ
