Abstract: A lift support system for a wheel assembly that provides variable support for the wing frame section of a tillage implement above the soil. The lift support system includes a vertically oriented tube slidably connected to the wing frame section for movement along a vertical axis. A wheel axle assembly is pivotally connected to the lower end of the tube and provides a support for the axle assembly. Wheels are journaled on the axle assemblies. A locking assembly selectively locks the wheel assembly in place when the tube is in a position for field transport and field operation with the locking mechanism being disengageable when the wing section is in a transport position to permit castoring of the wheel assemblies.

Abstract: The present invention relates to new methods of selecting and breeding organisms, in particular organisms which exhibit symbiotic behaviour with symbionts, and to new organisms and symbiota developed thereby, such as plant or grass and endophyte symbiota. Multiple symbionts are deployed in multiple organisms and selected for improved symbiotic compatibility and performance early in the breeding process. Methods include producing improved organisms from germplasm, by inoculating host organism germplasm libraries with symbionts selected from symbiont libraries and selecting improved host organisms exhibiting desired symbiota characteristics, and selection of organism-symbiont associations with a desired genetic and metabolic profile by metagenomic analysis of nucleic acid libraries from an organism or organism-symbiont association.

Abstract: The multistage live Lepidoptera containment display system includes a housing defining an observable interior Lepidoptera habitat. A ventilation feature is configured to provide sufficient ventilation within the housing for a Lepidopteran at various life stages including a pupa stage (e.g. chrysalis) and adult stage (e.g. butterfly). A Lepidopteran pupa attachment element is configured to attach a Lepidopteran pupa to an upper area of the housing and within the interior Lepidoptera habitat. A Lepidoptera release mechanism is configured to provide for release of the Lepidopteran from the interior Lepidoptera habitat within the housing after progressing from the pupa stage to the adult stage.

Abstract: The invention uniquely combines a Cattle Guard, which is a horizontal grid flush in a roadway to prevent livestock passage along the roadway, with a Crash Resistant Security Gate. Crash Resistant Gates are vertically swinging barriers preventing vehicle trespass on a roadway, and also provide a barricade preventing vehicles from crashing through the gate, and trap the vehicle within the barricade. The invention is placed across a roadway integral with a fence. In the “open” position, the grid barrier reposes flush with the roadway for passage of vehicles, but prevents passage of livestock. In the “closed” position, the grid swings vertically on the side of its long axis to now form a Crash Resistant barrier to vehicle trespass. In its preferred embodiment, the invention is a deliverable module, including integrated pit. The invention described includes integrated powered gate activation, and energy recovery to provide increased efficiencies over prior art.

Abstract: A method for producing poultry for raising poultry with high production score is provided. In a method for producing poultry in a poultry house, a feeding area for feeding the poultry is illuminated with blue light in an early raising period of a poultry raising period. In the early raising period, behavior of chicks can be restricted by illuminating the feeding area with blue light. Accordingly, sudden death of chick or metabolic disorder due to excessive and abrupt behavior of chick can be prevented, and thus chicks not having injury or diseases such as metabolic disorder can be raised, and physical conditions of the grown poultry can be improved.
