Abstract: A releasable fastening features a first fastening strip including an elongated, flexible base carrying an array of discrete fastener elements arranged in rows and columns, and a second fastening strip configured to releasably engage with the first fastening strip. The first fastening strip also includes a longitudinally continuous rib supported by the upper surface of the base of the first fastening strip, the rib extending sufficiently far from the base of the first fastening strip to engage a sealing portion of the second fastening strip, and of a bending strength sufficiently low that the rib is placed in an elastically bent state, when the first and second fastening strips are in the engaged state, thereby forming with the sealing portion of the second fastening strip a non-interlocking barrier to resist flow across the fastening with the first and second fastening strips in the engaged state.

Abstract: A retractable wheel system for luggage. The retractable wheel system includes a luggage body with a base portion, a top portion and a plurality of sides, which define a packing compartment. At least two wheels are pivotably mounted to the base portion of the luggage body. An actuator is coupled to the housing, the actuator retracts or extends a cable wire. The cable wire extends from the actuator to the retractable wheels. The cable wire is guided to a rotary wheel by a pair of cable track wheels. The cable track wheels guide the cable wire along the rotary wheel from the actuator to the wheels. A recoil spring is connected to the actuator, the recoil spring contracts the cable wire and retracts the wheels. Further, a plurality of pockets are disposed at the base portion to house the wheels when the wheels are retracted.

This design provides a soft, clean surface for a child when opened, transforming into a tote with the pull of two draw cords when closed. While in tote configuration, there are two pockets, each diametrically opposed to one another, allowing convenience for stowing materials such as keys, sunglasses, snacks, etc.

Abstract: A luggage and case caddy is provided. In an implementation, a wheeled suitcase has a telescoping base frame that extends at length to carry additional luggage, with extending wheel support. The telescoping base frame that provides the extended carrying cart can retract back into the base of the wheeled suitcase. In another implementation, the extended cart folds up against the side of the suitcase. In either implementation, the apparatus can be converted between a single wheeled suitcase with pulling handle, or an extended cart, with pulling handle, for carrying multiple pieces of luggage and belongings.

One end of the pull rope is coupled to the transmission member, and another end is to bring the engaging mechanism to lock or unlock.

Abstract: A luggage mountable hand truck, which provides a user with enhanced cargo transportation capabilities, is provided with a collapsible design. The collapsible design allows the profile of the luggage mountable hand truck to be drastically reduced when not in use. The apparatus utilizes a pair of telescoping legs which allows the overall height of the apparatus to be altered. The luggage mountable hand truck can be used in two distinct modes, either as a standalone hand truck, or attached to an luggage item which already has some sort of wheel mechanism. Attachment to the luggage item is achieved through several straps which are wrapped around the luggage item; vertical support is provided by a base plate which contacts the top of the luggage item while a base plate allows objects to be stacked onto the luggage mountable hand truck for easy transportation by the user.

The diaphragm is connected to a vessel body of a bowl, and the vent is connected to a stand of a bowl. The diaphragm has a closing area for closing the discharge opening and a connecting area for connecting the diaphragm with the vessel body spaced to the vent. At least one window is provided between the closing area and the connecting area.

Abstract: This invention is an oil moisturizing comb is disclosed. There are no similar inventions to date. The oil from the comb only dispenses when there is pressure applied to it which allow the oil to come out more evenly, neatly, and controllably, thus saving time and effort.

Abstract: This invention is a dual cavity unit constructed in one of two different sizes to snugly store either a can of shaving cream or a can of shaving gel together with a manual shaving razor. Said invention is constructed primarily of neoprene or any other malleable material which has some amount of elasticity and is resistant to water, but not impervious. It is important to the invention that the material is resistant to the effects of water because it is intended to be used near water and in wet environments. It is also important that the material not be impervious to the effects of water in order to have planned obsolescence and generate repeat sales in the future. Further, the main advantage of this invention is the soft, pliable, and/or padded material used to construct it.

Abstract: An attachment system for tools includes a housing, a rotating member having a sloping surface and a catch surface disposed in an open central region of the housing, and a clip member having a clip protrusion with a head and neck portions where the neck portion is sized to be slidably receive in one of a first and second slot of the housing where each slot extends through a wall of the housing to the open central region. The clip protrusion engages the sloping surface causing the rotating member to rotate about a central longitudinal axis to a point as the neck portion moves distally along one of the slots where a catch surface aligns with the clip protrusion and where a channel aligns with a clip protrusion of a second clip member retained in the second slot, thereby retaining the first clip member and releasing the second clip member.

Abstract: A method of concealing a fixed blade knife inconspicuously behind a trouser belt utilizes a rotating sheath connected by a strap to the tongue of the belt buckle. The sheath is concealed behind the belt by pushing it upward into alignment with the strap and is deployed by pushing it downward out of alignment with the strap. The knife is curved so as to conform to the contours of the wearer's waist.

Abstract: A belt loop array for mounting a pouch or holster to waist belts of three or more different widths. The belt loop array consists of a plurality (five shown) of belt loop straps: a single intermediate strap, a pair of short straps and a pair of long straps, which are sewn or otherwise affixed to the back of a pouch or holster to form belt loops of three different widths. The loop straps are affixed to the pouch in a side by side arrangement with the intermediate strap interposed between the short loop straps and long loop straps.

Abstract: A method and apparatus to regulate the use and removal of freight. The apparatus includes a sensing element, a stoppage element, and at least one actuator. The sensing element is operable to determine the presence of freight. Stoppage element can alternate between a first condition configured to impede freight removal and a second condition configured to permit freight removal. The presence of freight maintains stoppage element in the first condition absent engagement of the at least one actuator and engagement of the at least one actuator switches stoppage element to the second condition when freight is present.

The rest frame is of the shape of a circular ring obliquely erected when the rest frame is unfolded. The front and rear supporting legs are connected with the rest frame through first and second connecting seats, respectively. Each of the first or second connecting seats comprises an integral bent metal sheet. The two ends of the metal sheet are respectively provided with pin holes for arranging connecting pins in a penetrating manner. The metal sheets on the first or second connecting seats are respectively and movably connected with the front or rear supporting legs and the rest frame through the connecting pins. One end of the metal sheet on a first connecting seat is bent to a U-shape to cover the corresponding front supporting leg.

Abstract: A progressively curved lumbar support located within the back of an office or home chair to enable a user to be seated close to a work surface (e.g., a desk or a table). The chair back tilts backwards and forwards when the user shifts his weight back and forth. The lumbar support includes a cushion back support manufactured from a resilient material that is responsive to a compressive force applied thereto when the user reclines against the chair back. In particular, a tilt pressure-responsive rod rides up and down over a pair of inclined guide blocks to cause the cushion back support to change its shape from a convex configuration at which to support the user's lower back and maintain a proper posture when the user sits erect and the chair back stands upright to a relatively flattened configuration when the chair back tilts backwards.

Abstract: Disclosed is a portable telephone holder. The portable telephone holder includes a holder body having sidewalls on four side surfaces thereof and longitudinally perforated to hold a portable telephone; and front and rear panels installed on front and rear surfaces of the holder body, respectively. A maximum height of the front panel is lower than a maximum height of the rear panel and is higher than a height of an upper end of the holder body. Position limiting panels are installed to left and right sides of the holder body, respectively, to limit a position of a portable telephone, which is transversely placed at the upper end of the holder body, in left and right directions.

Abstract: A wrap around bed frame for use in supporting a box spring and mattress having side rails and cross members and a foot member that is affixed to the foot ends of the side rails to provide support for the foot end of the bedding. The entire bed frame can be assembled with fittings that do not require tools for assembly and thus, the bed frame can be assembled easily by the user by simply sliding or snapping the components together. Protective shields cover the bed frame so as to minimize harm to a person inadvertently striking one of the bed frame components. The foot member is comprised of an upper and lower member affixed together. There are also center wedges on the cross members where a foot can be affixed to the center wedge to facilitate assembly of the bed frame.

Abstract: There is provided a body alignment and support pillow. The pillow includes a first portion that is substantially rectangular in profile and tapered at least in part. The first portion of the pillow is positionable under the chest and abdomen of a user during lateral slumber and promotes laterally upright positioning of the user's back, shoulders, and pelvis. The pillow includes a second portion that aligns with and is integrally formed with the first portion of the pillow. The second portion of the pillow is substantially rectangular in profile and is positionable between the user's thighs and knees. The pillow includes recessed regions extending between the first portion of the pillow and the second portion of the pillow. The second portion of the pillow is at least in part thinner in cross-section than the first portion of the pillow.

Abstract: A mattress-retention system is provided that maintains a mattress in place on an adjustable bed base. The base has a decking with sections that articulate to move the mattress into any of a variety of support positions. The decking is typically covered with a fabric. A pattern of micro-hook strips is coupled to the fabric, facing outwardly towards the mattress. The pattern of micro-hook strips may be contained within only one section, but may also be contained in other sections, or may cross-over multiple sections. This pattern of micro-hook strips interacts with the mattress to retain it in place.

Abstract: A bedding system is provided that includes a fan box layer having a plurality of ducts, each of the ducts being in communication with a fan configured to move air out of the duct and into an area surrounding the bedding system. A capacitor layer is positioned above the fan box layer. The capacitor layer includes a plurality of outlet ports, each of the outlet ports being in communication with one of the ducts. A mattress layer is positioned above the capacitor layer. The mattress layer includes a bottom portion having a plurality of first holes that are each in communication with at least one of the outlet ports and a top portion having a plurality of second holes that are each in communication with one of the first holes. The top portion defines a sleep surface.

Abstract: A support cushion for providing individualized heating and cooling to a user resting on the support cushion is provided. The support cushion includes a body supporting portion, a plurality of thermoelectric elements positioned and configured to selectively provide heating or cooling of the body supporting portion, and a heat dissipating portion that is comprised of a flexible foam having a plurality of cells with a reticulated cellular structure and that is operably connected to the thermoelectric elements. Methods of controlling a surface temperature of a support cushion are also provided.

Abstract: Levitation devices are disclosed for use with beds. In one embodiment, the levitation device is configured to facilitate rotation of a mattress with respect to a box spring. In another embodiment, the levitation device is configured to facilitate making a bed which allows sheets and blankets to be tucked between the mattress and the box spring without the need to lift the mattress. In a third embodiment, the levitation device functions as a hybrid device and can be used for making a bed or rotating a mattress.
