In one embodiment, the person support apparatus includes a base frame, a primary support frame supported on the base frame, and a foot section coupled to the primary support frame. The person support apparatus also includes a carriage that is freely translatable between a head end of the primary support frame and a foot end of the primary support frame, the carriage comprising a torso portion and a seat portion having a thigh segment and a gluteal segment. The person support apparatus further includes a selectable trunnion that selectively and severally couples the foot section to the primary support frame and the thigh segment of the seat portion.

The mobility assistance devices include base legs that are inserted between a mattress and a box spring and a support rail that extends upward from the base legs. The examination table includes a controller that periodically tares the integrated scale when a patient is not on the table so that the scale is ready to measure the weight of a patient without manual taring by the table operator. When a patient is on the table, the controller detects the presence of patient motion based on signals from load sensors, and captures weights for patients experiencing uncontrolled motion or tremors by averaging and comparing sampled weight values over predetermined periods of time. To insure that the patient is fully supported by the examination table before weighing the patient, the controller automatically adjusts the height of the examination table support surface so that the patient's feet are not touching the floor prior to weighing the patient.

Upper arm support is enabled through padded forearm rests, or “arm saddles”, which provide an elevated cushion rearward to support and position the user's elbows and transfer the center of the body weight vertically downward and through the rollator frame and thereby falling within its base of support as defined by its four support wheels. The invention's base of support is smaller than conventional rollators, thereby enabling responsive rotational movement by transferring the user's spinal rotation through the aforementioned arm saddles to the rollator frame resulting in a low-radius turn.

Cellulose particles with a median volume particle diameter (D(v,0.5)s) in the range from 30 ?m to 70 ?m are reacted in the presence of a nitroxyl radical catalyst, halide co-catalyst, and oxidant, to produce intermediate oxidised cellulose particles. The intermediate oxidised cellulose particles are neutralised, and shear pressure applied to produce oxidised cellulose particles having a median volume particle diameter value (D(v,0.5)p) of less than D(v,0.5)s, a ratio of D(v,0.5)s to D(v,0.5)p from 1.1 to 5.0:1, and an oxidation value in the range from 15% to 30%. The oxidised particles may be formed in to dispersions, with the dispersions particularly used to provide desired skin feel in personal care compositions.

The addition of the fragments of bacterial cellulose film in a cosmetic composition not only improves the transdermal transmission of active ingredients contained in the cosmetic composition but also provides the functions of skin moisturization, skin exfoliation and sebum absorption. The compositions comprise a natural starch component (e.g., corn starch), water, one or more emulsifiers, and one or more emollients. The starch, emulsifiers, and emollients are naturally derived, naturally processed, or both. The composition advantageously does not require the addition of synthetic gelling agents or other suspension aids to maintain the starch component in suspension, even with relatively low water concentrations and relatively high starch concentrations. In an embodiment, the emollients include esters of fatty acids and fatty alcohols, as well as a tertiary branched ester (a triester). The emulsifiers may include a sugar ester, alkylaryl glucoside, alkyl aryl alcohol, and straight chain fatty alcohol.
