Abstract: Systems and methods for delivering mining material to a multimodal array of different types of sensors and classifying and sorting the mining material based on the data collected from the multimodal array of sensors. The arrays of different sensors sense the mining material and collect data which is subsequently used together to identify the composition of the material and make a determination as to whether to accept or reject the material as it passes off the terminal end of the material handling system. Diverters are positioned at the terminal end of the material handling system and are positioned in either an accept or reject position based on the data collected and processed to identify the composition of the mining material.

Abstract: The embodiments herein provide a hot-rolled semi light weight, medium I-flange (I-7) beam with strength and more resistance when compared with the existing I-flange beam standards. The flange (I-7) beam comprises a vertical element known as web and two horizontal parallel edges known as flanges. The web connects the two parallel edges and forms the flange (I-7) beam. Due to light weight, the flange (I-7) beam imposes less load on structural elements in the construction and eases the use of beams at the construction site. Light weight of the flange (I-7) beams reduce the transportation costs at the construction site. Also, the flange (I-7) beam is cheaper than existing flange beams and uses less raw materials and energy during the manufacturing process. The manufactured flange (I-7) beams are free from defects such as crack, delamination, tear, non-metallic inclusion, and folds.

Abstract: A foldable bow saw movable between a functional saw condition and a folded packable condition includes a handle arm, a top bar, a short arm, a saw blade, and a lever arm, all pivotally connected one to the other with an end of the handle arm and an end of the lever arm forming free, unconnected ends of the assembly. The free end of the handle arm includes a connecting fulcrum surface adapted to removably mate with a fulcrum surface receiver in the lever arm. Rotation of the lever arm in a locking direction about the fulcrum surface moves the pivotal connection of the lever arm to the saw blade to a tensioned functional saw condition. Rotation of the lever arm in an unlocking direction allows the fulcrum surface to be removed from the fulcrum surface receiver and the assembly to be folded to the packable condition.

The blade mount is configured to rotationally oscillate along a plane of motion about an axis of rotation which passes through the blade mount crossing the plane of motion at a point of rotation. The blade mount comprises a securing portion comprising two securing faces passing through the plane of motion and a locking member configured to urge a blade towards the securing portion in a first direction parallel to the plane of motion, thereby securing the blade between the locking member and the securing faces. The two securing faces are angled such that the planes of the securing faces intersect with each other and with the plane of motion at a point of intersection which is positioned such that the point of rotation lies between the point of intersection and the securing portion.

Abstract: A radial bearing having a wear surface with improved wear characteristics comprises a steel support, to which is bonded a metal carbide composite wear surface made by first arranging, within a cavity defined between a steel mold and the steel support, tiles made of microwave sintered, cemented metal carbide, closely packing the voids between the tiles with metal carbide powder, and infiltrating the mold cavity with a metal brazing alloy by subjecting the filled mold to rapid heating. The brazing alloy fills voids between the metal carbide particles, the microwave sintered metal carbide tiles, and the metal support, thereby relatively rapidly consolidating the carbide into a wear layer bonded with the steel support without substantially damaging the properties of the microwave-sintered metal carbide tiles.
