Abstract: Techniques for identifying, in a target graph, subgraphs that match a query graph are provided. Processing a query graph comprises multiple stages, one for each query node in the query graph. In the first stage, a query node is selected, different portions of the target graph are assigned to different threads, each thread identifies nodes that match the selected query node and stores the identities of those nodes in storage that is local to the thread. The results of each thread are then stored in a “global” data structure. In the second stage, a second query node is selected and different portions of the global data structure are assigned to different threads. Each thread identifies nodes that match the second query node and that are connected to a previously-matched node. The second stage repeats until all nodes in the query graph are processed.

Abstract: The invention relates to using a graph database in genetic analyses to link mutation data to extrinsic data. Entities such as mutations, patients, samples, alleles, and clinical information are individually represented and stored as nodes and relationships between entities are also individually represented and stored. Each node and relationship can be stored using a fixed-size record and nodes can be flexibly invoked to represent any entity without disrupting the existing data. Systems and methods of the invention may be used for obtaining data representing a mutation in an individual and using a node in a graph database to store a description of the mutation. The node has stored within it a pointer to an adjacent node that provides information about a clinical significance of the variant. The graph database can be queried to provide a report of the clinical significance of the mutation.

Abstract: An embodiment in accordance with the present invention provides a real-time dashboard for proving a user within a department of medicine with real-time information regarding availability and demand for hospital beds throughout a department of medicine. The dashboard can be used to track patients from a point of entry to occupation of a bed. The dashboard also tracks needs from different points of admission such as the emergency department. The user can view the status of beds and the data can be further segmented by a level of care needed by the patient. The needs and preferences of different departments within the main department of medicine can be integrated with the availability and demand information provided by the dashboard. An alert system can also be implemented using the dashboard in order to allow the user to identify bottlenecks in the placement of patients in appropriate hospital beds.

Abstract: An apparatus that includes an input portal for receiving data including pointers for identifying health care providers and performance data correlated to the pointers. A first analyzer analyzes the performance data to identify categories of related performance data. A compiler compiles the data into compiled data that includes a plurality of the pointers and categories of data associated with the pointers. A second analyzer analyzes the categories of data and scores the data within each category to produce an outcome score for each category of data, where each outcome score is associated with a pointer. An access portal provides access to the data to health care providers, and provides health care provider-selectable display criteria to the health care providers using the access portal, and records a display criteria selected by each health care provider.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for maintaining and processing proprietary or sensitive data using an application implemented in a split/hybrid-cloud system are described. The split/hybrid system utilizes cloud and local platforms, while complying with customer security concerns and HIPAA security standards. Configuration of the application occurs in a cloud platform whereas processing of proprietary or sensitive data occurs within a customer's local computing environment. The customer may create their own unique application configuration that is stored in the cloud platform and that is delivered back to the customer as a package that includes both the unique application configuration as well as general application configuration requirements. The customer may implement the package within one or more local computing environments while managing the application from a single site that is separated from proprietary or sensitive data.

Abstract: An integrated health savings account system which provides electronic (real-time or batch) interconnection between a health plan claims administrator and an individual healthcare spending account. An accountholder presents an identification card to a healthcare provider or pharmacy in order to receive treatment or obtain prescription drugs. A claim for reimbursement of healthcare expenses is sent to a health plan claims administrator (healthcare) or a pharmacy benefits manager (prescription drugs) for adjudication and determination of any deductibles. The adjudicated claim is sent to an individual healthcare spending account custodian/trustee for automatic determination of whether the remaining funds in the accountholder's individual healthcare spending account can cover the proposed claim.
