Abstract: This subject matter provides the user with a variety of arrangements of decorative features on top of cakes in any celebration (birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, etc.). There are a variety of designs but all are within the same function family. A number of the designs allow the customer to be creative and arrange the holding systems to their liking, such as, letters, numbers, or borders. The others give an illusion of levitation on top or around cakes.

Abstract: A system and method to induce fish anesthetizing or narcosis is described that induces a potential field across the body of a laboratory fish having a pair of electrodes, the waveform generated by this potential field is approximately balanced to reduce the introduction of anions into the solution, and a camera is mounted to observe the activity of the fish, so that the potential difference may be adjusted based on the state of the fish.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a clipping machine and a method for producing sausage-shaped products, like sausages, by filing a flowable filling material into a tubular or bag-shaped packaging casing and closing said packaging casing by a closure means, like a closure clip. The clipping machine comprises a filling tube for feeding the filling material into the tubular or bag-shaped packaging casing stored on the filling tube and being closed at its first end, gathering means for gathering the filled tubular or bag-shaped packaging casing and for forming a plait-like portion thereto, the gathering means includes a first displacer unit and a second displacer unit, and a clipping device having a first and a second closing tool being reversibly movable between an opened position and a closed position, for applying at least one closure means to the plait-like portion and closing said closure means when the closing tools are in their closed position.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and a system for separating a viscera set eviscerated from slaughtered poultry and held by a viscera holder of a viscera conveyer in manner whereby at least the liver, the intestines and the gallbladder are suspended below the viscera holder. The method comprises the steps of: arranging the viscera set in an elongate opening of a guide member and separating the intestines and the gallbladder from the remaining viscera set. The intestines and the gallbladder are separated from the remaining viscera set while at least the liver rests on a separation support surface of the guide member, arranged with an angle relative to the horizontal plane. A guide assembly having two movable parts for use in such method/system is further disclosed.

Abstract: A barbecue smoker trailer having a separate heat source and improved air flow for providing even heating and smoke to the cooking chamber such that barbecuing, grilling and smoking temperatures can be reached within the cooking chamber and maintained without direct or open flames. The smoker trailer also has detachable parts that can easily be removed and placed inside the cooking chamber for storage or shipping.

Abstract: A process for making an edible snack food product having a low water content and a high solids content is described. The process comprises a step of providing an edible porous body, for example a freeze-dried fruit or vegetable slice or an extruded cereal product, and coating the body in a high-solids polymer solution, for example 25% (w/w) whey protein isolate, such that the polymer solution infuses into the pores at or close to the surface of the body but does not rehydrate the porous body. Coating may be achieved by spraying the product with the polymer solution or by briefly immersing the porous body in the solution. The coated porous body is then heated to a high temperature to dehydrate the infused polymer solution. This results in closure of the pores at or close to the surface of the porous body.

Abstract: The invention provides, in one aspect, a method of producing a cocoa-containing beverage, or a nutritionally fortified or energy-sustaining cocoa beverage, containing beneficial cocoa polyphenols. Ready-to-drink compositions, concentrates, primary beverage components, and packets for producing the beverages are specifically disclosed and prepared from a cocoa water composition made from steeping a cocoa-containing product in water or an aqueous solution with an acid. A number of vitamins, minerals, supplements, and nutriceutical compositions can be added.

Abstract: Colored wax compositions comprising a multiplicity of colored wax particles comprising at least one wax, at least one colorant and at least one emulsifier, wherein the colored wax particles are made by heating the at least one wax, the at least one colorant and the at least one emulsifier together, solidifying the melted colored wax composition and then forming particles from the solidified colored wax composition, the resultant colored wax particles having an average particle size of at least 200 microns that provide a speckled appearance when applied to the surface of a confectionery composition. In particularly, the present disclosure relates to coated confectionery compositions such as chewing gum compositions having a speckled appearance when this colored wax composition is applied as a coating to a confectionery composition as well as to methods for making colored wax coated confectionery compositions such as chewing gum pellets.

Abstract: A high protein food may be produced via an extrusion process whereby acid casein is mixed with whey protein, alkali and water. Upon exiting the extruder, the mixture may be cut, dried, and/or tempered, milled and screened before being further processed or packaged. The final product may be configured as a crisp high protein food or a powdered high protein food. The protein content of the end product may be approximately 90-95% on a dry weight basis.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a coated pet food is provided. The method comprises providing an edible core having a moisture content of at least about 50% and a volume of from about 0.256 cubic centimeters to about 16.4 cubic centimeters. A first layer comprising a first plurality of particles is bonded to the edible core to provide the coated pet food. The first layer of the coated pet food resists 98% of abrasion in an abrasion test.

Abstract: A method of producing a micro-algae product is disclosed. In one embodiment, the method may comprise collecting urine from lactating cows, mixing the collected urine with aerobically digested cow manure to form a mother liquor, fermenting the mother liquor in an algae growth tank, and forming two distinct layers of top water including a top water layer. The top water layer may include yeast by-products and algae by products.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments provide oat fractions, and methods of producing the oat fractions, of the species Avena Sativa that has a concentration of total Avenanthramides that is from about 2 to about 25 wt. %, and up to about 30 wt. % or more, higher than the concentration before treatment with infrared energy. The higher concentration is achieved without treatment with enzymes or exposure to fungal agents to increase the concentration of total Avenanthramides. Instead, the enhanced concentration of Avenanthramides is achieved through exposure to infrared energy for a selected period of time.

Abstract: The present invention provides a food product comprising at least 1.5%, 5%, 10%, 20%, 30%, or more, by weight total ingredients of a low bitter chicory plant material or flour. The present invention also provides a method for obtaining a chicory product with reduced bitterness, comprising blanching chicory roots or root chips, drying the blanched chicory root chips, and optionally grinding the dried chicory root chips and incorporating it into flour, dough, or other food products. Also provided is a method for obtaining a chicory taproot with reduced bitterness, comprising cultivating a chicory plant at a soil nitrogen level of 150 lbs per acre or less in the upper 3 feet of the soil.

Abstract: Described is a process for creating almond pâté, a vegan spread. The ingredients include almonds, olives, one or more vinegars, water, oil, garlic, white pepper and black pepper. The almonds are initially soaked for approximately 24 hours at room temperature in low pH salt solution. The almonds are then combined and processed with other ingredients. The result is a healthy and appealing alternative substantially similar in consistency and satiety as a traditional liver pate.

Abstract: Methods and compositions for producing hydrogel capsules enveloped with at least one coating layer is disclosed. The coating formulations deposited on the surface of the capsules can improve the physical integrity and the water-retention properties of the alginate beads. The coating formulations can be sequentially applied in various combinations to obtain desirable properties, such as improved physical integrity, mechanical strength, and low permeability, that can extend the shelf-life of the capsules when incorporated into various consumer products.

A donut shaped wrapper housing can hold perhaps 50-100 cigarette wrappers facing inbound with a closed end projecting out an outer wall exit hole into the catch basin. Tobacco or any work material is dropped onto the center of the rotating platform which may be motor driven. Centripetal forces urge the work material into the wrappers. Empty wrapper channels feed the excess material into the catch basin. A lid prevents loss of work material.

The electronic cigarette atomizing device comprises an atomizing component installed within an outer tube of the atomizing device and used for heating and atomizing tobacco liquid, and a liquid cup used for accommodating tobacco liquid. The present invention is characterized that the atomizing component comprises an atomizing holder and a heating component fixed inside the atomizing holder. A filter component is installed for filtering tobacco liquid to enter the atomizing holder and is disposed between the liquid cup and the atomizing holder. The filter component comprises a filter net with micropores and a filter cotton. Simultaneously, the plate opening enables passage of a different liquid solution through the cartridge opening and the chamber opening from a second compartment. Thus, the rotatable plate regulates passage of the desired liquid solution from a compartment to an atomizer for vaporizing the desired flavor of liquid solution.

Fingers of a user may reach under the cover, engage the edge of the containment, and open a “mouth” to insert securely an object such as a phone, insulin pump system, personal article, or the like. A stabilized access port out through the cover or inward through the clothing article may pass a line from the contained object.
