Abstract: Systems and methods are described for a shoe sole for relieving pressure from a wearer's metatarsal heads. In one aspect, a shoe sole comprises a shoe outer sole comprising a shaft region, a ball region, and a toe region. The shaft region underlies metatarsal shafts of the wearer and comprises a first lower surface, the ball region underlies metatarsal heads of the wearer and comprises a second lower surface, and the toe region underlies phalanges of the wearer and comprises a third lower surface. The second lower surface is raised relative to the first lower surface and the third lower surface.

Abstract: A sole for footwear having a core layer which is provided with openings and pins that are moveably guided through the openings. The pins protrude outside a top and a bottom of the core layer and are intended to transfer the contour of the ground to the bottom of a user's foot as the user moves.

The second end of the tool is adapted to engage the material and remove the material from the footwear. In another aspect, a method of improving wearabilty of footwear includes positioning a deformable material into footwear, engaging the material with a first end of a tool, moving the material to a desired portion of the footwear with the tool, and deforming the material into a desired shape with the first end of the tool.

A built-in shelf is offset from the front side of the wall and has a horizontal base that is angulated from the wall. The horizontal base has a top surface for storing objects. The built-in shelf has a back that is perpendicular to the base and a pair of triangular shaped sidewalls located such that the top surface is between the sidewalls. A bracket extends outwardly from a bottom edge of the wall to receive a portion of a lengthwise edge of a keyboard. A keyboard is stored on the keyboard holder by positioning a portion of the lengthwise edge of the keyboard on the bracket and leaning the keyboard against the front side of the wall. When a keyboard is stored on the keyboard holder, the keyboard obscures the view of the built-in shelf.

A deflecting element is provided on a guiding plate face near the front panel for deflecting the furniture fitting which is preassembled in the front panel. The deflecting element is formed as a projection which projects laterally.

A spring loaded catch slidable within the bonnet and acted on by the trigger to releasably attach the apparatus to a drawer rail assembly. A threaded spindle rotates within the base and adjusts the horizontal position of the drawer. A ramp adjustably connected to the base adjusts the vertical position of the drawer. A plunger extends from a housing connected to the body and is adjacent the drawer rail assembly. A lever pivotable within the housing moves the plunger and adjusts the depth of the drawer.

The cage includes a bridge part having opposed end parts spaced by a mid-section and module strips that are connected to the end parts. Each module strip includes one or more guide strip modules. At least some of the guide strip modules include ball bearings disposed in openings provided in respective guide strip modules. The end parts and the guide strip modules have cooperative coupling elements that permit coupling therebetween. The module strips are disposed in guide tracks defined by walls of inner and outer profiles of the slide guide and the ball bearings run within the guide tracks to allow extension of the inner profile with respect to the outer profile. Stop modules may be coupled to the module strips via coupling elements to limit relative travel of the profiles.

Abstract: A painting support system that includes a painting support board for holding artist's panels or canvases that is colored to mimic the frame for the finished painting. A reference line grid is scribed on the painting support board more accurately draw and observe straight lines. A continuous loop strip of a hook and loop system placed on all four sides of the support board. A mahl stick with a hook patch of the hook and loop system placed on a tip of the mahl stick allows the artist to attach the mahl stick anywhere on the support board to the loop strip to steady and support the hand while painting.

Abstract: A seating unit that includes a linkage mechanism adapted to adjust between closed, extended, and reclined positions is provided. The linkage mechanism includes a seat-mounting plate mounted to a footrest assembly, a back-mounting link and a rear bellcrank both rotatably coupled to the seat-mounting plate, an activator bar that controls a footrest drive link, and a linear actuator for carrying out automated adjustment of the linkage assembly. In operation, a stroke in a first phase of the linear actuator generates a torque on the activator bar. The footrest drive link converts the torque into a laterally-directed force that pushes the footrest assembly into the extended position. A stroke in the second phase acts to push the activator bar forward and translate the seat-mounting plate forward at a consistent inclination angle. The forward translation causes the rear bellcrank to rotate, thereby biasing the back-mounting link rearward into the reclined position.

One handle controls three pull lines at the same time, and the user adjusts the angle of the backrest, cushion lifting or moving back and forth by operating the handle.

Abstract: An apparatus for facilitating sleep is disclosed. Embodiments of the sleep system receive a person's lower arm in an arm cavity of a person laying in a sleep-on-side position. An exemplary sleep system has a trunk rest and head rest. Two separated cantilevered supports extending outwardly from the base portion of the head rest are in contact with and supported by a top edge of the trunk rest, thereby defining an arm aperture that receives the person's lower arm when laying in a sleep-on-side position. An arm cavity is defined by lower surfaces of the two cantilevered supports and a trunk rest cantilevered arm cavity surface that extends generally downward and inward.

Abstract: A spring assembly includes telescopically adjustable inner and outer members biased in an extension direction by a coil spring. A preload member is provided to apply a compression preload to the coil spring. The preload member can eliminate stickiness and the popping sound that are drawbacks of the prior art, and the fabric sleeve also provides general noise reduction when the spring assembly changes length.

Abstract: A foam mattress is provided having a body facing surface comprising a first foam layer on a first spring layer formed of a plurality of individual pocketed spring coils. A second foam layer formed of a reticulated foam supports the first spring layer. The foam mattress further having a bottom layer of conventional foam. The foam mattress is surrounded by a foam casing that has at least one vent formed in the casing. The first spring layer causes air to flow from the second foam layer through the vents.

Abstract: A child carrier adapted to hold a child in front pack and back pack configurations is described. Embodiments of the child carrier include a support device implemented for persons weighing between 7-17 lbs. Generally, the support device can have a first position for persons weighing between 10-17 lbs and a second position for persons weighing between 7-10 lbs. In the first position, a concave face of the support device can be contoured to interface with torso/buttocks of an infant. In the second position, the support device can be folded together providing an area suitable for an infant.

Abstract: A scanning bar hook for displaying packeted items in a shop, has upper and lower limbs with a crossbar extending from the upper limb. A molded plastic assembly pivoted on the crossbar has a display flap for mounting a bar code card, a fin extending from the flap toward the first item and an arrester arm which is insertable between the foremost item and the next item. When the foremost item is advanced for removal it strikes the fin and blocks the removal of all the remaining items.
