Abstract: An agricultural tillage implement has a main frame section, a left wing section, and a right wing section. Lift wheels and gauge wheels are actuated by hydraulic cylinders supplied by a hydraulic system. Solenoid valves connect groups of hydraulic cylinders to each other and to bypass circuits. The solenoid valves and the bypass circuits function to selectively allow coordinated control and individual control of the lift wheels and gauge wheels. The hydraulic system has at least one hydraulic flow divider and combiner dividing hydraulic flow and pressure between at least one left hydraulic circuit and at least one right hydraulic circuit. The at least one hydraulic flow divider and combiner functions to coordinate the motion of the left rear lift wheels and gauge wheels, and the right rear lift wheels and gauge wheels, and may be overridden by bypass valves.

Abstract: A speed and direction controller for selectively providing infinitely variable and incremental control of groundspeed of an agricultural vehicle. The speed and direction controller may communicate with a control system for controlling groundspeed of the agricultural vehicle. The speed and direction controller may include a forward-neutral-reverse (FNR) lever and incremental control elements located on the FNR lever. The FNR lever may be infinitely variable between a maximum forward position and a maximum rearward position, corresponding with a maximum forward groundspeed and a maximum rearward groundspeed, respectively. The incremental control elements may be manipulated by a user to send a signal to the control system for increasing or decreasing the maximum forward or rearward groundspeed by a predetermined amount. This increase or decrease in the maximum forward or rearward groundspeeds may be used by the control system to scale speed commands received from the FNR lever.

Abstract: A global navigation satellite system (GNSS) based control system is provided for positioning a working component relative to a work surface, such as an agricultural spray boom over a crop field. Inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensors, such as accelerometers and gyroscopes, are mounted on the working component and provide positioning signals to a control processor. A method of positioning a working component relative to a work surface using GNSS-based positioning signals is also disclosed. Further disclosed is a work order management system and method, which can be configured for controlling the operation of multiple vehicles, such as agricultural sprayers each equipped with GNSS-based spray boom height control subsystems. The sprayers can be remotely located from each other on multiple crop fields, and can utilize GNSS-based, field-specific terrain models for controlling their spraying operations.

Abstract: An air seeder includes a header including an inlet connected to a first hose through which a mixture of air and particulate matter enters the header. The header also includes a plurality of exit ports through which the mixture of air and particulate matter exit the header. Additionally, the air seeder includes a valve associated with each one of the plurality of exit ports. The valve opens and closes to regulate the flow of the mixture of air and particulate matter out of an associated exit port while also regulating a flow of purging air through the associated exit port.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for metering granular material, such as seeds, fertilizer, or the like. By way of the method, the granular material being carried and conveyed by an airflow is directed through a feed tube into a metering unit, and guided therein along an approximately circular arc path and tangentially directed into an outlet tube, which is adjacent to the metering unit. The airflow being guided through the outlet tube and carrying and conveying the granular material, which is being conveyed in approximately equal spacing, is conveyed and/or accelerated within the metering unit by means of at least one conveyor disk or fan disk, which is electromotively driven at a regulatable rotational speed and which rotates approximately concentrically within the metering unit. The drive speed is increased or reduced based on a detected torque of the electromotive drive of the at least one rotating conveyor disk or fan disk.

Abstract: An improved particulate metering system is provided. The system includes an air flow origin and a plurality of particulate accelerators. A single particulate source is in communication with the particulate accelerators. Each of a plurality of operated conveyances can be in operable communication with the single particulate source and one of the particulate accelerators. The system includes a confluence of the air flow and the particulate within the mixing area of each of the particulate accelerators. Each of a plurality of discharges can be associated with the particulate accelerators. The operated conveyances can operate at different rates. The system can include one or more gearboxes adapted to be inverted and controlled by a second drive system. The improved system and controls provide variable application rates of particulate across rows in a field.

During a cutting operation rotating blades ripe surface material up onto a filtering screen and along this further to a collecting box so that only stones and debris of e.g. at least 1 cm enter the box whereas smaller particles/soil escape through the filter screen and are thereby returned to the lawn surface, which significantly increases the nutrient level in the upper layers of the lawn.

Abstract: A sugarcane harvester and related method are disclosed for powering various sugarcane harvester operations. An energy storage device may be configured to receive electrical power from one or more electric machines for storage. The energy storage device may be configured to provide electrical power to the one or more electric machines to power operation of the one or more electric machines. An operating state of the sugarcane harvester may be identified, wherein the operating state is associated with one or more of a power requirement, a torque requirement, and an engine speed requirement for the sugarcane harvester. Based upon identifying the operating state, the one or more electric machines may be caused to receive electrical power from the energy storage device for conversion by the one or more electric machines to mechanical power, in order to power an operation of the sugarcane harvester.

A reciprocating plunger is operable to compress the bale material and a binding device binds the compressed material to form a bale by use of twine loops. An adjustment mechanism increases as a length of outer twine loops when binding the bale relative to the inner twine loops, to reduce compression within part of the body of bale material and avoid twine breakage that can otherwise occur as a bale is ejected from the baler.

More specifically, it relates to mechanisms for pulling a flexible canopy over a support structure and then for removing the canopy to uncover the structure and the plants below. The mechanisms include an arm mounted rotationally on a base. When the arm is rotated in one direction the canopy is pulled over the support structure and when the arm is rotated in the other direction the canopy is pulled off the support structure.

[Industrial applicability] Plant cultivation can be performed for a long period of time while avoiding infection by bacteria and the like causative of plant diseases.
