Abstract: The present invention relates to a two-speed fishing reel which allows the choice of a higher or lower speed when reeling in or pulling out the fishing line, while keeping constant the rotation speed of the handle driving the reel operation. That is possible because the fishing reel features two kinematic chains, which, by means of a knob, allow choosing one or the other, and due to the diameter and number of cogs of each one of the gears of these kinematic chains, the rotation speed of the rotor increases or decreases, at the same rotation speed of the handle.

Abstract: A tip-up apparatus includes a base, a descending shaft hingedly coupled to the base, and a spool assembly including a top spool end and being attached to the descending shaft. The apparatus also includes a light tower and an electronic sensor coupled to the descending shaft, the electronic sensor being configured to detect movement of the spool assembly. The light tower houses at least one indicator light and is hingedly coupled to the base. The indicator light is configured to illuminate when the electronic sensor detects movement of the spool assembly.

Abstract: The present invention provides an encasement for preventing arthropods contamination of an object or for decontaminating an object contaminated with arthropods. The encasement comprises an enclosure defining an aperture, the enclosure being formed of an arthropod impervious material. The encasement also comprises a cover formed of an arthropod impervious material and shaped to cover the aperture, the cover being attachable to the enclosure to prevent arthropods from escaping or entering the encasement. The encasement also comprises a heating source linked to the encasement for heating an interior of the encasement and a heater control device connected to the heating source for controlling the temperature within the encasement. The aperture is sized to allow use of the object upon separation of the cover from the enclosure and the enclosure and cover are sized and shaped to completely house the object upon attachment between the cover and the enclosure.

The elastic member does not extend into this wider section and consequently this section is able to lay flat against the user's forehead. The exterior of the cap is fabricated from waterproof or water-resistant material and a soft, water-absorbent layer may line at least the band of the cap.

Further disclosed is a measuring tool able to be used in the present measuring method. By using the measuring method and the measuring tool, errors encountered when going shopping for shoes can be reduced to the maximum degree by a simple operation, such that the problem that an ordinary consumer could buy a pair of perfect fitting shoes only if he/she tries them personally can be solved.
