Abstract: A method and apparatus for biometric data capture are provided. The apparatus includes in interactive head-mounted eyepiece worn by a user that includes an optical assembly through which a user views a surrounding environment and displayed content. The optical assembly comprises a corrective element that corrects the user's view of the surrounding environment and an integrated processor for handling content to the user. An integrated optical sensor captures biometric data when the eyepiece is positioned so that a nearby individual is proximate to the eyepiece. Biometric data is captured using the eyepiece and is transmitted to a remote processing facility for interpretation. The remote processing facility interprets the captured biometric data and generates display content based on the interpretation. This display content is delivered to the eyepiece and displayed to the user.

This forms a metal-protected radio link (26.1) between the first antenna coil and the second antenna coil, which radio link is protected from harmful external influences.

Abstract: A new method for stock selection, portfolio optimization and asset allocation using specially constructed neural networks and ranking algorithms. Each stock in a portfolio is modeled by a neural network designed to learn from the statistical differences between the stock and the target benchmark. The neural network outputs, representing each model's forward looking rate of return (FLRoR) relative to the benchmark, are then ranked in descending order. Portfolio optimization is performed by rebalancing the positions based on their FLRoR rankings subject to the portfolio constraints including regulatory requirements and risk level. The method has been implemented in computer programs.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for developing parallel networks. Parallel network design may comprise a general purpose language (GPC) code portion and a network description (ND) portion. GPL tools may be utilized in designing the network. The GPL tools may be configured to produce network specification language (NSL) engine adapted to generate hardware optimized machine executable code corresponding to the network description. The developer may be enabled to describe a parameter of the network. The GPC portion may be automatically updated consistent with the network parameter value. The GPC byte code may be introspected by the NSL engine to provide the underlying source code that may be automatically reinterpreted to produce the hardware optimized machine code. The optimized machine code may be executed in parallel.

Abstract: A universal problem resolution method and system implementing continuous improvement for problem solving that utilizes simulative processing of relational data sets associated with initial states, allowed transition states, and goal states for a problem. The framework autonomously generates and solves higher order problems to find sequences of operations necessary to transform state sequences derived from the lower-order transformation simulations recursively. The solutions yield increasingly higher-order abstractions that converge to generalization such that the unwinding of the higher order sequences back down to the original problem yields the exact sequence of steps for unsolved instances of the problem in linear time without the need for re-simulation. Cooperating agents analyze solution path determinations for problems including those concerning their own optimization. This spawns state transition rules generalizable to higher layers of abstraction resulting in new knowledge enabling self-optimization.

Abstract: In the method and system for knowledge extraction of this invention, knowledge extraction is realized through acquiring an initial sentence group including one or more sentences, and then comparing the length of the initial sentence group with an expected length to determine the initial sentence group to be expanded according to the comparison result. Since the sentence groups are formed by consecutive sentences, it may be guaranteed that the sentence groups themselves have good coherence in logic, so that the final sentence groups obtained through expanding the initial sentence groups have good coherence in logic correspondingly. Thus, this invention may override the drawback of lacking logical coherence in extracted knowledge information in the prior art.
