Abstract: A jewelry clasp includes a first housing having a first locking member and securing a first magnetic configuration and a second housing having a second locking member and securing a second magnetic configuration. The first and second magnetic configurations have exposed faces with a north pole being positioned at a first side of the exposed face and a south pole being positioned at a second side of the exposed face. The jewelry clasp further includes a magnetic locking arrangement wherein the north pole and south pole of the first magnetic configuration are magnetically attracted and aligned with the south pole and the north pole of the second magnetic configuration and a mechanical locking arrangement wherein the first locking member slidably interlocks with a second locking member during alignment of the mechanical locking arrangement.

The cutter may include a diamond covered wheel having diamond grit sized between about 100-grit and about 170-grit. Preferably, the cutter can be assembled to permit either of a left-hand, or a right-hand mode of operation. The walking stick chair is at an unfolded state when the upper slider member is at the second position, and is converted from the unfolded state to a folded state when the upper slider member moves from the second position to the first position.

The activation control has a depressed position and an alternate extended position. The plurality of spikes is configured to extend below a base edge of the ferrule when the activation control is in the depressed position. One of each of the plurality of spikes is configured to be fully disposed within one of each of the plurality of openings when the activation control is in the extended position.

Abstract: Provided is a magnetic ring for an umbrella, the magnetic ring including: a top, a bottom, an inner side part, and an outer side part. The magnetic ring is a hollow ring. The bottom further has an annular groove and at least one magnetic component mounted in the annular groove. The magnetic ring further has a first chamfer between the top and the inner side part and a second chamfer between the bottom and the inner side part. After use of the umbrella, the magnetic ring can be encircled around and slid along the folded canopy without scratching or damaging the canopy. In addition, the magnetic ring can be attracted temporarily on the umbrella stem by the magnetic component when the umbrella is unfolded. Enhanced convenience is provided for umbrella users and the magnetic ring can be used with durable fastening function.

Abstract: An integrally molded one-piece carrying handbag of flexible plastics material and its method of manufacture are described. The integrally molded plastic handbag has a containment space defined by a bottom wall and a circumferential sidewall with carrying straps integrally molded in a top edge of opposed sections of the sidewall. A latch tab is also integrally formed with one of the opposed sides sections of the sidewall and has a fastener formation projecting adjacent a free end thereof. A fastener hole is provided in the other of the side sections for receiving the fastener formation to partially close the open top end of the containment space. In a preferred embodiment gusset formations are formed in opposed top ends of end wall sections of the circumferential side wall of the containment space.

Abstract: A protective case for a mobile electronic device includes a shell defining a cavity for receiving a portion of the mobile electronic device within the cavity. The shell includes a membrane disposed adjacent a location corresponding to a screen of the mobile electronic device such that at least some of the screen of the mobile electronic device is viewable through the membrane. The shell also includes a gate disposed adjacent a location corresponding to a port of the mobile electronic device. The gate includes elastomeric flaps and is operable to at least two states including: a) a port covering state in which ends of the elastomeric flaps converge at at least one seam to close the gate protecting the port from environment outside of the protective case, and b) a port accessing state in which the elastomeric flaps separate and fold in to open the gate providing a passageway for a connector to be connected to the port of the mobile electronic device.

Heating elements abut respective abutment surfaces inside the barrel. A reversible motor rotates the barrel. The first and second arcuate surfaces each occupy 10% to 40% of the external surface and are subtended at the axis by respective first and second central angles. The heating elements are positioned outside first and second sectors defined by the first and second central angles, focusing the conductive heat transfer to the adjacent relatively large unobstructed external areas of the barrel.

The hinged interlocking assembly further comprises a first and a second pliant member disposed within the guide groove. The pliant members act to restrict certain directional movement of the hinge axis pin as it travels through the guide groove while the table platform is transitioned from the stowed position to the deployed position, and vice-versa. The pliant members prevent the table platform from collapsing inadvertently, by only allowing the hinge axis pin to travel in one direction throughout the guide groove while transitioning between stowed and deployed.

Abstract: An adjustable overhead storage system includes a main beam having a lower surface with a channel configured to receive a plurality of storage cabinets. The storage cabinets are slidably and reversibly engaged with the main beam via a rolling mechanism. The storage cabinets each have a pair of doors on a front side and a handle on an adjacent outer side. The storage cabinets are connected with the support beam in series such that the front of each storage cabinet faces the back of the adjacent storage cabinet. The storage cabinets are movable with respect to each other and the main beam. Based on the storage needs and available space, storage cabinets can be added or removed from the main beam. An alternate embodiment provides an elbow joint that joins the support beams and main beam, and contains an internal mechanism that allows storage cabinets to travel therebetween.

The first deflection element extends from the first end to a first medial position on the outer wall between the first end and the third deflection element, and the second deflection element extends from the second end to a second medial position on the outer wall between the second end and the third deflection element. Upon impact, the first, second and third deflection elements deform to dissipate the energy generated by the impact.

Each slot generally opens outward, away from a center of the seat. Each slot may have an elongated central portion and two distal portions extending from the central portion. The slots may allow flexing and cantilevering of portions of the seat to dynamically contour the seat based on the weight of the user.

A plurality of (e.g., foam) cushion layers laying one over the other are located at the top of the seat. One of the plurality of foam cushion layers is manufactured from a material having a memory which conforms to and temporarily retains the shape of the user. Located at the bottom of the seat below the plurality of cushion layers are a plurality of coil springs that stand upwardly against the cushion layers in side-by-side alignment with one another so that the back of the seat is firmer than the front. The plurality of cushion layers are arranged in a stack such that the density of the memory foam cushion layer is greater than the density of the other ones of the plurality of cushion layers.

Abstract: Disclosed is a chair containing a flexible back support frame mechanism that includes an improved spring assembly designed to allow reclining movement of a back support frame relative to a seat assembly. The spring can assembly of the present invention is, preferably, carried by a rear cross support member thereby eliminating the need for cumbersome elongated springs and their attendant support members. Further, the spring can assembly of the present invention allows the compression member to be readily and easily changed, thus providing the ability to easily adjust the flex tension of the back support member.

Abstract: Disclosed is a tilting type chair. The chair includes: a seat on which a user is seated; a back support configured to support a back portion of the user seated on the seat; and a tilting section interposed between the back support and the seat to couple the seat to the back support. When the user applies a load to bend the back support backward, the tilting section moves the seat upward in proportion to the load applied by the user, and when the load applied to the back support by the user is removed, the tilting section moves the seat downward in proportion to the removed load. As a result, a more comfortable seating feeling may be provided to the user seated on the seat of the chair. In addition, the tilting may be limited as needed by the user. Thus, the chair may further improve the user's convenience.

Abstract: An insulated drinking vessel, e.g., a tumbler, and method of making the same is disclosed. The vessel basically comprises a pre-molded inner vessel formed of a plastic material having a sidewall is disposed within a pre-molded outer vessel formed of a plastic material having a sidewall to form a subassembly having an insulating air space between the sidewalls. A ring of plastic material is molded in-situ on top portions of the inner and outer vessels of the subassembly to cause portions of the plastic material of the inner and outer vessels to melt and intermingle with the plastic material of the ring to form a non-superficial homogenous joint. The ring forms the rim or lip of the insulated drinking vessel.

Abstract: A food storage container is disclosed. The food storage container has a one or more water tight compartments. The food storage container can have an insulated component that can maintain food at substantially constant temperature over a relatively long period of time. The insulated component can be secured to the food storage container with a securing insert that prevents the insulated component from moving or rotating when in use. The insulated component can be removed. The insulated component can have a lid with an opening lever feature that makes it easy for users to open the lid. The food storage container can have a removable divider that can be used to create a plurality of smaller compartments. The food storage container can have a latch and hinge assembly to close the lid and tray. The food storage container can have an integral handle to provide a carrying solution.
