At least one bonding layer is formed thereon and at least one ceramic layer is formed on the at least one bonding layer. The at least one ceramic layer at least partially is formed of an oxidic compound in the form of a mixed-oxide ceramic.

Abstract: This invention pertains to a layered sheet comprising an inherently flame resistant high strength fiber wet-laid nonwoven carrier having a first and second surface and an inorganic refractory layer adjacent to at least one surface of the carrier wherein the refractory layer has a dry area weight of from 15 to 50 gsm and the bond strength between the refractory layer and the surface of the paper is at least 0.25 lb/in, preferably at least 0.8 lb/in, wherein the carrier comprises from 70 to 90 weight percent of aramid fibers and from 10 to 30 weight percent of polymeric binder, is hydrophilic, has a thickness of from 0.025 to 0.175 mm and a density of from 0.25 to 1.1 g/cc.

Abstract: A pipe rack and a method for making a pipe rack where the pipe rack may include at least one foundation, two legs, and a horizontal support. The two legs are supported by the at least one foundation. Each of the two legs includes at least one aperture. The horizontal support has two ends. The first end is located in an aperture in a first leg of the two legs and a second end of the horizontal support is located in an aperture in a second leg of the two legs. A rod forms a joint between the foundation and one of the two legs. The rod is located in the aperture in the upper surface of the foundation and in an aperture in a lower surface in the one of the two legs.

Abstract: A unique flat designed caution tape retainer with diamond shape is disclosed. It can be snapped into the top of a traffic safety cone through its two bottom slits and it can hold a caution tape by slipping the caution tape through its side slit into its caution tape slot. Such caution tape retainer can be removed from the traffic cone easily or can stay on the top of the traffic cone when stacking traffic cones. This handy and simple caution tape retainer is easy and inexpensive to manufacture and it solves a persistent problem by neatly holding the caution tape in construction areas or traffic areas without damaging the caution tape or the traffic cone.

Abstract: An anti-ram vehicle barrier system adapted to arrest an impacting vehicle of substantial mass within a selected distance of the barrier. The barrier system includes a fence portion and/or a gate for selectively allowing passage through an entry port. The fence portion includes a pair of terminal posts positioned in and secured to the ground in a spaced apart relationship and cables connected between the terminal posts. The gate includes a cable extending across a panel that is connected on opposing ends to opposing posts positioned on opposite sides of the entry point. For passage the panel is moved relative to the posts and to the ground.

Abstract: A pet scoop assembly and method of use is provided. The assembly includes a scoop member; a receptacle detachably engageable with the scoop member; and a door disposed intermediate the two. A disposable bag may line the receptacle and be clamped in place between the receptacle and scoop member. The door opens inwardly into the receptacle. When the scoop assembly is turned into a vertical orientation, the door opens by gravity or by the weight of gathered pet waste sliding onto the door. A region of the scoop member adjacent the door is angled to allow pet waste to slide readily from the scoop member into the receptacle.

Abstract: A plow edge having improved durability and performance is provided which can comprise an elastomeric material, for example, a styrene elastomeric material. The present disclosure provides a plow blade edge system for mounting to a mold board of a plow comprising an adapter blade, at least two elastomeric blade segments wherein each segment is selectively reversible to present first and second edges; a clamp bar wherein the clamp bar is mounted to the adapter blade with the at least two elastomeric blade segments secured therebetween; and, each of the at least two elastomeric blade segments secured selectively in a first orientation or a second orientation.

Abstract: Provided is a pneumatic fender that suppresses damage to a flexible hollow body and an energy-absorbing body and exhibits improved ship sway reduction effects. A pneumatic fender is provided with an orifice that allows for communication between an interior space of a flexible hollow body and the interior space of the casing, and a safety valve that opens and allows for communication between the internal space of the flexible hollow body and the internal space of the casing by opening when the internal pressure of the flexible hollow body reaches a predetermined pressure.

Abstract: A multi-suction pile anchor and a plate anchor for mooring a marine structure, comprises a plurality of suction piles connected in parallel with the same capacity penetrates into the sea floor, wherein a pullout resistance required for mooring the marine structure is applied by changing the number of suction piles, and wherein a plurality of suction piles is connected each other with a connecting plate to increase a lateral resistance.

Abstract: A portable and modular foundation that can be utilized to support a monopole includes a central hub and a plurality of legs. A proximal end of each leg is removably attached to the central hub. A plurality of floor panels extends from proximate the hub to a perimeter of the foundation and define a substantially uninterrupted floor. With the plurality of floor panels attached to the legs, the foundation can optionally be buried where the soil or other material is positioned on top of the floor panels to provide the necessary ballast to allow the foundation to retain a monopole with a piece of equipment in an elevated position. Alternatively, if the foundation is to be utilized above ground, a plurality of wall panels can be attached to the floor panels and the legs with braces to retain the wall panels in a substantially vertical position. The plurality of wall panels forms a substantially continuous wall about a perimeter of foundation such that ballast can be placed therein.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of a retaining wall system, as well as embodiments of blocks and other devices for use in a retaining wall system. In some embodiments, a retaining wall includes a plurality of face blocks and a plurality of trunk blocks arranged in a plurality of courses of blocks. In some embodiments, a face block can include a face portion and a pair of leg portions, and each of the leg portions can be adapted to be coupled to a trunk block. In some embodiments, various block connecting devices can be used to connect blocks in a single course of blocks and various block alignment devices can be used to align blocks in adjacent courses.

Abstract: Systems and methods for fabricating a retaining wall include an operation for making an untreated wall in the ground. This may be done by digging a trench in the ground and simultaneously mixing the ground in situ with a binder. Next may be a further operation for excavating a volume of ground adjacent to the untreated wall so as to uncover a surface of the untreated wall. Following that may be a further operation for treating the untreated wall during which a protective treatment substance comprising a polymer substance is applied to the surface that was uncovered in such a manner as to obtain a retaining wall of a thickness that is substantially equal to the thickness of the untreated wall.

Abstract: Modules for use in an assembly for managing the flow of water beneath a ground surface and assemblies of such modules are disclosed. The modules include supports and a deck portion and the supports are spaced apart and form channels with a main section of the deck portion. A wrapper has a third thickness that is less than the second thickness and a lip plate includes a lower cutting edge. A receptacle is defined by the pair of side sections, the base plate, the upper wrapper plate, the wrapper, and the lip plate.

Abstract: Provided is a construction machine having a central foothold and a maintenance access passage with high safety. The construction machine includes an upper slewing body including: an upper frame, an engine compartment, a cabin on a right or left region of the upper frame, a central foothold immediately forward of the engine compartment and on a central region of the upper frame widthwise of the upper frame, and a maintenance access passage extending rearward while elevated to guide a worker from the ground forward of the upper frame to the central foothold on a side opposite to the cabin. Widthwise of the upper frame, an inward edge of an upper end portion of the maintenance access passage is located inward of one edge of the central foothold, to thereby form a transit zone between the maintenance access passage and the central foothold.

Abstract: Provided is a construction machine including an air cleaner and allowing the air cleaner to be easily installed with no enlargement of an installed space while surely avoiding the interference with other structure. The construction machine includes: an air cleaner; a pipe connected to an exhaust port of the air cleaner; a seat plate on which the air cleaner and the pipe are mounted to form a subassembly; and a device including an upper surface on which the subassembly is mounted to form a device-assembly. The subassembly is allowed to be displaced between a first position apart from a first structure and a second position close to the first structure and apart from a second structure and to be fixed at each of the positions.

Abstract: An controller uses one of several transfer curves to map steering angle of an articulated machine to articulation angle. Because an articulated machine may have a range of steering angles that is much greater than the range of articulation angles, the controller uses one of several techniques to map the full range of steering angles to the full range of articulation angles. One technique involves multiple non-zero slope regions, another technique uses a less than one-to-one linear transfer function of steering angle to articulation angle.

Abstract: Disclosed is a guidance system that helps an earthmoving machine operator to control exactly to what elevation to dig. The system includes an electronic sensing device and a display monitor. In one embodiment, the electronic sensing device includes a distance measuring sensor (LDM), an elevation detecting sensor, an orientation sensor, and a steering mechanism for the LDM. The sensing device is mounted to an earthmoving machine, and sends signals to the display showing the machine operator where to move the digging tool for digging to the desired elevation. The various sensors in the sensing device are calibrated at the factory, so the sensing device can be mounted to an earthmoving machine and then be immediately used by that machine without needing any calibration that involves the machine itself, which is a huge advantage for the equipment operator. The measurements are made via non-contact sensors, thereby preserving the jobsite surface.

Abstract: A water outlet structure of a dual-connected faucet inner core comprises a faucet inner core body, multiple metal conduits integrally formed on two water inlet pipes of the faucet inner core body, and an adapter movably connected to the water outlet of the faucet inner core body. The configuration of the subject dual-connected faucet inner core body can fit in with different shapes of faucet housings by different adapters, thereby decreasing the manufacturing cost effectively and enhancing the market competitiveness of the product.

Abstract: Provided is a valve body of a water faucet including a water outlet pipe seat and two water valve seats configured to receive a cold water valve cartridge and a hot water valve cartridge respectively at two sides of the water outlet pipe seat. Each valve seat is formed with a water inlet pipe enclosed by a cooper casing pipe. Each valve seat is fixed to a corresponding copper casing pipe via injection molding. The valve body of a water faucet in accordance with the present invention is formed with a copper casing pipe which can be connected to an external water pipe around each water inlet pipe. Therefore, lifespan of the water faucet is prolonged remarkably.

Abstract: A drain trap comprising a lid and bowl where the lid further comprises a central inlet flow tube which discharges into the bowl at a distance above the inner surface of the base of the bowl. Fluid entering through the flow tube and into the bowl fills the interior until the water level reaches the discharge opening to exit from the drain trap. Water flow is in the annular space between the inner surface of the bowl and the exterior surface of the tube.

Abstract: A water conservation device for use within a toilet is disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the device includes a connector having a base adapted for connectivity and placement adjacent to a traditional pole assembly and proximate to an opening valve within a tank of the toilet. In at least one embodiment, the device includes a flexible pressure arm integrally formed with the connector base and adapted to couple to the opening valve within the tank of the toilet and adapted to provide a pressure to the opening valve to lessen overall water utilized in each flush of the toilet and thereby conserve water. The water conservation device is adapted for either a total or partial flush of the toilet as selected by a user.

Abstract: A bidet automatically washes bodily excretions, such as, feces, urine and or blood, off of a user's front and or back elimination positions, and posterior. Cameras with differing light filters, are used to view the differing excretions. A light projects light of differing wave lengths, to illuminate the differing excretions. The camera detects the different illuminated excretions. Detected excretions on the posterior, are automatically washed by, a computer, directing water on the excretions. A display shows the detection, and washing process of the excretions. Hands free operation of the bidet, lessens the chance of bacteria being transferred to the user's hands, while using the toilet. The display visually assures the user, that excretions are removed from the posterior.

Abstract: A building having a foundation and abutting wall panels seated on the foundation. Together they define at least one wall section, tied together by orthogonal tensioners. The tensioners include vertical tensioners located parallel and between adjacent wall panels and fixed to the foundation and at a respective anchor positioned at the top of the adjacent wall panel. These vertical tensioners allow a binding of the adjacent wall panel by said vertical tensioner onto the seat of the foundation. The tensioners also a horizontal tensioner extending between said anchors at each end of the wall section to allow a horizontal binding of wall panels of the wall section together.

Abstract: A backed paneling unit comprised of a backing portion that includes at least an elevated portion. A depth portion may also be included. An elevated portion and/or a depth portion may be formed using any suitable method including, but not limited to, molding, machining and heat stamping. Optionally, a backing portion may comprise a hydrophobic material. Such features may enable fluid flow (e.g., ventilation or liquid drainage) behind the backing portion. Additionally, the elevated portion of the backing portion may eliminate the need for the use of furring strips when installing, for example, siding.

Abstract: A roof system includes a roof panel formed of concrete and an architectural surface such as a corrugated surface. A first layer of reinforcing material is disposed along and spaced inwardly from a first surface of the roof panel, and an optional second layer of reinforcing material is disposed along and spaced inwardly from a second surface of the roof panel. The first layer of reinforcing material is spaced from the second layer of reinforcing material. The reinforcing material may be formed of fiber-reinforced polymer mesh, made with carbon fibers or glass fibers. FRP rebar may be used in conjunction with FRP mesh to provide added structural strength. The roof panel may include one or more elongated ribs having a thickness greater than adjacent portions of the roof panel. In other aspects, concrete structures with reinforcing material may be used for either roof panels or wall applications.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a membrane comprising a bulkhead layer, wherein more than 50% by weight of the bulkhead layer is composed of PVC, and a barrier layer. The barrier layer can, on the one hand, be a barrier layer S1, wherein the barrier layer S1 has a polyvinyl alcohol layer comprising more than 50% by weight of copolymer PA, which is connected to the bulkhead layer by a polyurethane layer, wherein more than 10% by weight of the polyurethane layer is composed of polyurethane PUR. The barrier layer can, on the other hand, be a barrier layer S2, wherein the barrier layer S2 has a composition comprising 5-50% by weight of polyurethane PUR and 50-95% by weight of copolymer PA. The membranes according to the invention have significantly lower plasticizer migration compared to the membranes of the prior art and are distinguished by improved resistance to aging, particularly as regards the adherence of the barrier layer on the bulkhead layer, and imperviousness to damp.
