Abstract: There is provided an evaporating material of thin plate shape which can be manufactured at a reduced cost and at high productivity, the evaporating material being adapted for use in enhancing the coercive force of neodymium-iron-boron sintered magnet by heat treatment while evaporating Dy in vacuum or in reduced-pressure inert gas atmosphere. The evaporating material of this invention has a core member 1a made of a fire-resistant metal having a multiplicity of through holes, and is made by melting a rare-earth metal or an alloy thereof so as to get adhered to, and solidified on, the core member. In this case, the above-mentioned adhesion is performed by dipping the core member into a molten bath of the rare-earth metal or an alloy thereof, and pulling it out of the molten bath.

Abstract: A molding is produced with a disk-shaped or plate-shaped basic body having a large number of knob-like and/or web-like elevations which merge into the basic body with inclined side surfaces. The molding is produced by pressing and sintering powdery raw materials close to the final shape. First, the boundary surfaces of the basic body are pressed to final shape as far as the transition regions of the elevations and the elevations are pressed to an oversize. The projection height of the elevations from the basic body is greater than the projection height in the finally pressed state. Their side surfaces form an angle of inclination in the range from 90°-150° with the respectively adjacent boundary surface of the basic body. Then the elevations are pressed to near final shape while the angle of inclination is enlarged to a greater value.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing thermally stressed engine components having a geometrically complex structure includes metal injection molding metal powder mixed with a binder to form green compacts of individual parts, which are debindered to form brown compact sections which are joined together to form a multi-part brown compact which are sintered in the assembled state. The brown compact sections have differing shrinkage properties in the sintering process, depending on the metal powder used, with a greater shrinking first brown compact section being automatically pressed against a second brown compact section during sintering. Connecting elements having positively engaging projections and recesses are provided at joining surfaces of the brown compact sections and have differing shrinkage such that during sintering of the assembled brown compact, the brown compact section with projections undergoes a greater shrinkage than the brown compact section with recesses.

Abstract: A machine tool includes a table, a spindle head, a spindle, and an internal turning attachment. The internal turning attachment includes an attachment base, a body, and a tool holder. The tool holder has a tool mount surface to which a turning tool is detachably mounted. The tool mount surface provides a changeable tool mount angle with respect to a plane perpendicular to a spindle rotational axis in a state where the internal turning attachment is mounted to the spindle head. An angle between the spindle rotational axis and a vertical axis is to be larger than zero degree according to the changeable tool mount angle and is fixed while the turning tool contacts a workpiece in a case where the workpiece has a hole with a depth exceeding a length from a body upper portion to a tip end of the turning tool along the spindle rotational axis.

Abstract: An aligning attachment includes a support aligned relative to a workpiece by a base and a collar slidably connected to the support. The aligning attachment is connected to a power tool and the power tool is guided toward the workpiece by the collar. The translation of the power tool is controlled by a control force applied to a lever pivotally connected to the collar. The lever cooperates with the support to transfer the control force to the support and the collar to counteract an input force applied to the power tool. The control force and associated reaction forces on the support and the lever lie approximately in the same plane. A user controls the translation of the power tool device by increasing or decreasing the control force applied to the lever.
