Abstract: This invention relates to a plurality of compositions for dietary health management and its use in the prevention or treatment of any one of the disease states in the group consisting of cardiovascular disease, inflammation and diarrhoea. Human evolution has been a very slow process in contrast to the relatively recent, rapid changes in our diet since the Neolithic revolution which marked the switch from hunter-gatherer to agricultural life-style around 10,000 years ago. Moreover our genome has not had time to evolve at the same pace and therefore it is postulated that our bodies will work more efficiently with an ancestral diet.

Abstract: A retorted liquid soup concentrate package (of about 70 to 100 g contents) expressible from the package when opened and dilutable with boiling or near boiling water (at a dilution ratio water/concentrate of from 1.9:1 to 2.5:1) to a lump free ready to eat soup form at at least 55° C. (preferably 60 to 65° C.) and a target volume less than 400 mls (preferably 250-300 mls).

Abstract: An ozone-based disinfecting device is provided comprising a mixer having a generally hollow body with a water inlet for water under pressure, a spray nozzle for generating a generally conical spray of water introduced by way of the water inlet, a contact chamber communicating with a gas inlet for ozone rich gases, and an outlet aperture from the contact chamber that is coaxial with the spray nozzle and spaced apart therefrom. An electronic flow sensing device senses the extent of the flow of water through the spray nozzle according to vibration caused by water flowing through the mixer. The electronic flow sensing device is preferably located in a pocket formed in the mixer and preferably comprises a piezoelectric sensor embedded at least around its periphery in a settable material. A preferred construction of the mixer is also described.

Abstract: Disclosed a preservation apparatus for improving food storage performance, in which an illumination unit to irradiate light having a specific wavelength is installed on an inner wall surface of a box having foods stored therein to increase the storage period of the foods when the foods are transferred at a room temperature or stored at a low temperature. The foods are prevented from being decayed for a long time, and the nutrients and the freshness of the foods are maintained. The box having the foods stored therein and the illumination unit installed in the box to irradiate light having the specific wavelength onto the foods stored in the box are included.

Abstract: A food coating apparatus includes a drum assembly with an input end for receiving coating material and food product, a hollow body for mixing the coating material and the food product to form coated food product and used coating material, and an output end for allowing coated food product and used coating material to exit the drum assembly. A basket is arranged adjacent to the output end of the drum assembly to retain the coated food product and pass the used coating material that exit the drum assembly. A funnel pan collects and funnels the used coating material passed by the basket into a sifter which separates the used coating material into refuse and reusable coating material. A reclamation receptacle receives the reusable coating material from the sifter and is removable from the food coating apparatus to enable pouring the reusable coating material from the receptacle into the drum assembly.

An outer body may at least partially enclose the components. An illumination source may be configured to output electromagnetic radiation. For example, a light emitting diode may output light. A waveguide may be configured to receive the electromagnetic radiation from the illumination source and provide illumination at an outer surface of the outer body. The waveguide may include an energy conversion material configured to alter a wavelength of the electromagnetic radiation outputted by the illumination source to change a color of, or otherwise affect, the illumination. The illumination may also be dynamically adjusted. The waveguide may define the outer body, or the waveguide may be received with a separate outer body. Related methods are also provided.

Abstract: An electric vaporizing chamber is provided as improved and versatile vaporization chamber for use with a vaporizing system. The electric vaporizing chamber provides an enclosure that contains the electric vaporizing chamber. The enclosure utilizes interfacing features for engaging a mouth piece or similar accessory as well as a battery unit or an alternative power source to the electric vaporizing chamber. Within the electric vaporizing chamber is a vaporizing chamber assembly that receives vaporizable material in an internally positioned compartment. The compartment is hard anodized improving heat transmission and facilitating clean up after use. The enclosure contains a plurality of ventilation ports that improve the drawing of vaporized material from the compartment and through a mouth piece or similar accessory. The electric vaporizing chamber is adequately insulated to prevent heat transmission to the enclosure.

A vent is formed between the first and second receiving spaces for communicating the two receiving spaces with an outer space. By providing the first and second receiving spaces on the pouch structure, the wearer's penis and scrotum can be isolated from each other. Also the vent allows convection to occur between ambient air and the first and second receiving spaces, so that the two receiving spaces of the pouch structure are always dry and comfortable in touch.

Abstract: A wearable impact reduction device and method are disclosed. The wearable device and method comprise three layers, the middle layer of which comprises a resilient element that displaces as a result of an impact. The device and method also comprise the use of a motion sensor and a physiologic biosensor. In at least one embodiment, one of the layers of the device can be responsive to one of the sensors. In at least one embodiment, the motion sensor can comprise an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a magnetometer, an acoustic sensor, an infrared sensor, or a GPS (global positioning system) receiver and the motion sensor can be responsive to acceleration, position, or velocity.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatus for an earring safety device that can be clipped to an ear enveloping an earring so as to protect the ear and the wearer's head from the earring during fast-paced activities. The earring safety device can enable athletes to participate in contact sports without removing the earring, especially where rules would otherwise preclude the athlete from competing. The earring safety device can also protect the wearer from snagging the earring during high-intensity activities and jobs. The protection also protects the athlete from injury due to impacts made to the earring.

The exterior hard shell part is formed to fit the device closely with a small offset from the devices surface. The exterior hard shell raps around the edges of the device. To allow the shell to be able to be mounted on the device the corners of the hard shell are cut open. The elastomeric material fills in the gaps created at the corners of the exterior hard shell to allow flex for mounting.

Abstract: Modular Furniture is an invention directed to, but not limited to, seating, fitting top tables, tumbling, and visual interest. Modular Furniture comprises a plurality of modular seating areas, support surfaces, and top tables. A modular seating area comprises a plurality of modular seating units optionally installed on a support surface. A seating unit comprises a top surface, a bottom surface, and three or more side surfaces between said top surface and said bottom surface. Said top surface has a polygon shape and slants to said bottom surface at an angle to said bottom surface. Said angle is not less than zero degree and not more than forty-five degrees. Pockets are formed by, but not limited to, placing a plurality of seating units in disclosed configurations. The support surface can have legs to lift it off the ground. Top tables have legs fitting among the seating units. Modular Furniture is stackable.

Abstract: A support system includes a support frame and at least one modular leg assembly mounted to and supporting the support frame. The leg assembly includes a first leg member and a second leg member. The second leg member has a top-to-bottom length that is greater than the top-to-bottom length of the first leg member. The first and second leg members are connected individually or in combination to the support frame such that at least three leg heights are selectably provided. The leg members may each have a threaded connecting element extending therefrom for connecting the leg member to another leg member or to the support frame. The support system may be a mattress support frame. The at least one modular leg assembly may be a plurality of modular leg assemblies.
