Lubrication of the ball lead screw is carried out by a lubricating member installed in the slider. A first lubricating member has an applicator nose which comes into sliding contact with a helical groove around the ball lead screw and a second lubricating member makes close contact with the first lubricating member to supply lubricant to the first lubricating member. The first and second lubricating members fit together in a recess made at one end of the slider major body. Both the first and second lubricating members have C-shaped contour. The first and second lubricating members lying in close engagement with each other are received in a recess in the end of the slider major body and held there with a presser plate which is secured using fastening screws.

Abstract: In a ball screw (1), comprising a screw shaft (3), a nut (7) threaded onto the screw shaft via a plurality of balls (9) received in a raceway (8) defined between the two parts, an end deflector receiving recess (6) is formed on each axial end thereof to complementarily receive an end deflector (21) which defines a part of the raceway in cooperation with an opposing part of the nut, wherein the end deflector is provided with a pair of engagement claws (31, 32) that engage corresponding parts of the thread (4) formed on the nut. Thereby, the need for a special engagement feature or other arrangement for attachment is eliminated, and still a highly firm and accurate engagement is ensured between the nut and the end deflector.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide improved overrunning pulleys that overcome one or more of the deficiencies in the prior art as discussed herein. Embodiments of the present invention provide pulleys that are “springy” in the torque direction, yet have a lower effective spring constant (e.g., are less stiff) over a greater angular range. Further, in at least some embodiments, the inventive pulleys use a low cost and simple torque transfer geometry. Further, in at least some embodiments, the inventive pulleys afford significant overrun. Further, in at least some embodiments, the inventive pulleys are radially small in an overall envelope, for example, in order to allow an alternator to reach its highest possible rotational speed, and thus output, during engine idle. Further, in at least some embodiments, the inventive pulleys are more durable, as they offer the aforementioned dynamics in both directions (torque and counter-torque).

Abstract: A vehicle includes a motor, a resolver which detects a rotation angle of the motor, an automatic transmission which shifts rotation of the motor and transmits the shifted rotation to a drive shaft, and an ECU which performs learning control for correcting an error of the resolver and shift control of the automatic transmission. The ECU controls the automatic transmission such that, when the learning control is performed, a gear ratio becomes higher at a prescribed vehicle speed, than that when the learning control is not performed. By controlling the automatic transmission as described above, even when the vehicle is traveling at a low speed, a rotation speed of the motor easily reaches a rotation speed at and above which the learning control of the resolver can be performed. Accordingly, an opportunity to perform the learning control of the resolver can be obtained early.

Abstract: While a vehicle is decelerating starting at a braking start time, start-off pre-shifting starts when speed falls to a predetermined speed. At a vehicle stoppage time, an idle stop permission flag is not set to on if start-off pre-shifting is incomplete, even if idle stop permission conditions have been met. The idle stop permission flag is set to on when start-off pre-shifting is completed, and an idle stop flag is set to on and the engine stopped when engine rotational speed falls below a set speed. The engine is restarted in response to braking being released, and the idle stop flag is set to off and the idle stop control ended when the engine rotational speed reaches or exceeds a set speed. The restarting of the engine causes an engine-driven oil pump to dispense oil to be used as a medium to manifest an automatic clutch command hydraulic pressure.
