Abstract: A synthetic vision system includes a main processor that receives real time telemetry, the main processor retrieving tiles associated with a terrain map based on the real time telemetry, and the main processor processes the tiles corresponding to a mode of display. A rendering processor receives the tiles processed by the main processor, and the rendering processor renders the tiles into synthetic vision image. The rendering processor sends the synthetic vision image to at least one of a primary flight display (PFD), multi-functional display (MFD), and a secondary flight display (SFD). A processor in the at least one of the PFD, MFD, and SFD replaces inactive pixels (black pixels) with pixels of the synthetic vision image such that the synthetic vision image underlays the flight data displayed on the at least one of the PFD, MFD, and SFD.

Abstract: The present invention provides a device that can be used with in-line chlorinating systems for pools and will allow visual indication of the amount of chlorine or other chemicals that remain in the in-line chlorinating system without having to remove the cap or cover of the reservoir. The device is unique because it is maintenance free and relies on gravity and no other force to work.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are fluid bladders that include a port and a port closure, a handle, and/or other components. Some disclosed closures can be configured to provide at least two different sized openings for accessing the reservoir, as well as providing a sealing and/or locking mechanism to close the port and seal the port. Exemplary closures comprising a base defining a fill port and mounted to a wall of the bladder, a first cap component that is attached to the base, and a second cap component (e.g., a lid) that is attachable and detachable (via threaded engagement, a pivoting snap fit, or otherwise) to the first cap component. The base can be fixed (e.g., welded) to the bladder to cover the bladder wall opening and provide a second, rigid opening, or port.

Abstract: A segmented retention closure forms a lid that detachably attaches to a container for holding and orienting an item, such as debris, a gardening tool, a baseball, and a string of lights. The closure comprises a panel and a rim. The rim detachably attaches the panel to an opening of the container. The panel substantially covers an opening in the container. The panel has a perimeter region and a central region. Gaps extend from the perimeter region to the central region. The gaps segregates the panel into panel sections, such that each panel section has freedom to bend, laterally flex, and fold in relation to the other sections. An aperture positions concentric to the panel and in communication with the gap. The aperture also has adjustable size and dimension, such that the aperture and the gap can conform to the shape and dimensions of the item for reception.

Abstract: An apparatus for sealing a vacuum tank door. The apparatus comprises a circular flange attached to a door panel of a vacuum tank, a horizontal crossbar connected to the center of the door panel and a lifting assembly. The lifting assembly comprises an upper linkage arm, a lower linkage arm, and a hydraulic cylinder. Activation of the hydraulic cylinder causes the linkage assembly to move downwards pulling on the horizontal crossbar and pulling the vacuum tank door towards the tank. Activation of the hydraulic cylinder also causes a connection point of the lower linkage arm and the upper linkage arm to move over-center of the connection between the lower linkage arm to the to the tank creating a tight seal between the vacuum tank door and the tank.

Abstract: A closure device for containers comprises a lid having a spout (4) with holes (4a), a valve body (9) attached to the lid (4) and operable on the spout (4). The valve body (9) comprises a cup-shaped element (10) having a blind bottom wall (10a) and a side wall (10b) that emerges from the bottom wall (10a) and delimits an upper opening, the side wall (10b) of the cup-shaped element (10) being made of a resilient material, and at least partially contacting a first sleeve (5) of the lid (2), which is in fluid communication with the spout (4). The side wall (10b) of the cup-shaped element (10) contacts the first sleeve (5) in a fluid-tight manner and moves away from the first sleeve (5) in response to a negative pressure introduced through the spout (4).

Abstract: An apparatus, system and method for regulating fluid flow are disclosed. The apparatus includes a flow rate sensor and a valve. The flow rate sensor uses images to estimate flow through a drip chamber and then controls the valve based on the estimated flow rate. The valve comprises a rigid housing disposed around the tube in which fluid flow is being controlled. Increasing the pressure in the housing controls the size of the lumen within the tube by deforming the tube, therefore controlling flow through the tube.

The attachment ring is securingly engageable with a container closure or closure plug. The attachment ring includes a cam surface extending radially outward from the attachment ring, where the cam surface deflects the attachment ring radially inward upon engagement of the attachment ring with the container closure or closure plug. The cap top and the attachment ring are connected by at least one frangible connection and at least one permanent connection, where the at least one permanent connection retains the cap top in one piece upon breaking of the at least one frangible connection for removal of the cap from the container closure or closure plug.

Abstract: A simple, cost-effective dispensing device is proposed which can be independent of a container. The dispensing device has a peripheral outer wall which defines a dispensing space. The dispensing space is closed by a tear-resistant film on the push-open side, whereas the cover side is closed by a cover plate which can be formed in one part with the peripheral outer wall. The dispensing space can be subdivided into chambers by connecting walls. The plunger can be used to successively push open the tear-resistant film and the active ingredients in the chambers are thus dispensed.

Abstract: A front pull piercing valve assembly attached to a flexible container, whereby; when the wall of the flexible container is pulled into contact with a piercing element in the assembly, the contents of the container are dispensed by piercing the wall of the container and liquid flows through the valve assembly and directly into a container or through flexible hose or another connection to be dispensed. The valve assembly is configured in such a manner that during use it is filed with the liquid being dispensed thereby preventing the liquid in the flexible container from being exposed to air, namely, oxygen that often causes spoilage of certain liquids, such as wine.
