Abstract: A system and method for a system for communicating with a user device includes a first transport processing system and a second transport processing system. The system also includes a software download manager that monitors a first transport processing system communicating a software image, generates a first announcement for the software image, communicates the first announcement to the user device, determines a failure of the first transport processing system, discontinues the first announcement for the software image in response to the failure and communicating the software image through the second transport processing system.

Abstract: A system and method of collaborative processing of service requests includes receiving a service request at an application server, beginning execution of a proxy member function of a proxy class, and determining whether a movable member function in a movable class is to be executed at a client. When the movable member function is to be executed at the client, the method further includes creating a partial response including code for the movable class and information for invoking the movable member function and transmitting the partial response to the client fore execution of the movable member function. When the movable member function is not to be executed at the client, the method further includes executing the movable member function in the application server and returning a result of the movable member function as a result of the proxy member function. The proxy member function replaces the movable member function.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a system component in a content delivery network (CDN), the CDN including a request router and edge caches, the request router being operable to determine which edge cache should serve content to a client, the system component including a processor, and a memory to store data used by the processor, wherein the processor is operative to receive a request for content from the client, and based on a decision to shut down a first edge cache after the client has already downloaded some of the content from the first edge cache, participate in a process to transfer the client from downloading the content from the first edge cache to downloading the content from a second edge cache in the middle of the client downloading the content so that the client continues downloading the content from the second edge cache. Related apparatus and methods are also described.

Abstract: Disclosed is a content encoding pre-synchronization method, comprising: a network device selecting a popular index with a high frequency of appearance from all indexes stored by the network device; determining, among base stations under management, another base station that is of the same type as a base station receiving the popular index, and when the link is idle, sending the popular index and data corresponding to the popular index to the base station. In the content encoding pre-synchronization method provided by an embodiment of the present invention, a popular index and a base station to which the index may be sent can be predetermined, and when the link is idle, the popular index is sent to the corresponding base station in advance, thereby reducing the sending delay in busy time, improving the compression ratio in busy time, and avoiding a loss of synchronization data caused by a busy link.

Abstract: An apparatus, method, system and computer-readable medium are provided for converting traffic of a first communication type to traffic of one or more additional communication types. In some embodiments, the communication types may comprise IP communications, such as IPv4 and IPv6 communications. In some embodiments, multicast communications may be supported. For example, one or more tunnels or channels may be established to support transmitting data, such as content, to one or more destination addresses. In some embodiments, a destination address may be associated with a user device. One or more messages may comprise an address that may be extracted by a device, such as a router, to determine a destination. The one or more messages may comprise a request for service or a request to join a service group.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for creating and managing Global Session Identifiers (GSIDs) for communication sessions. GSIDs provide a way to globally identify communication sessions including those communication sessions that have experienced one or more topology changes. The GSID may be considered a header itself or a value within a header and information contained within a GSID can be used to trace backwards through time to find the session segments that led up to (or exist concurrently to) a currently signaled session.

Abstract: Wireless device, method, and computer readable media for compressed media access control header and/or compressed acknowledgement are disclosed. The wireless device may include circuitry configured to transmit a media access control (MAC) protocol data unit (MPDU) delimiter with a field that indicates a subsequent MAC header is a compressed MAC header, and transmit a compressed MAC frame with the compressed MAC header. The compressed MAC header does not include one or more of the following group: duration, receive address, and transmit address. The circuitry may be further configured to receive a schedule in a transmission opportunity and receive a second compressed MAC frame. The circuitry may be further configured to determine that the receive address field is an address of the HEW device based on the schedule and determine that the receive address field is an address of an access point that transmitted the schedule based on the schedule.

Abstract: High-speed processing of packets to and from a virtualization environment can be provided while utilizing segmentation offload and other such functionality of hardware such as a network interface card. Virtualization information can be added to extension portions of protocol headers, for example, such that the payload portion is unchanged. The virtualization information can be hashed and added to the payload or stream at, or relative to, various segmentation boundaries, such that the virtualization or additional header information will only be added to a subset of the segmented data frames, thereby reducing the necessary overhead. Further, the hashing of the information can allow for reconstruction of the virtualization information upon desegmentation even in the event of packet loss.

Abstract: A wireless OFDM transceiver uses subcarrier characteristics, such as phase and amplitude, to detect the bandwidth of a received packet. By detecting different subcarrier characteristics in the long training symbols of a packet at the receiver, the packet is associated with different bandwidths. The different bandwidths are used in a wireless network where devices can communicate using different frequency bands that overlap one another and where one is wider than the other.

Mobile messages may be sent to a mobile subscriber from a variety of sources, including other mobile subscribers both in and out of a carrier network, or from sources (e.g., a computer, etc.) outside of the carrier network. According to various implementations of the invention, when the mobile message is received by the carrier network (e.g., at a gateway to the carrier network or within the carrier network itself) the mobile message is scanned for a URL. If a URL is included in the mobile message, a replacement URL is generated and the original URL from the mobile message is replaced with the replacement URL. The original URL is stored and associated with the replacement URL for subsequent access and retrieval.

In response to a hold command from a client device, the host device may connect to the call and place the call in a hold state. When an answer and hold selection is made at a client, an answer and hold communication may be sent from the client device to the host device. The query includes the first call identifier. The verifying also includes receiving a returned query result confirming or denying that the telephone call is from the registered service provider.

Abstract: A user may provide electronic consent to a contact center authorizing the origination of a subsequent call by transmitting a text call in the form of a short message service to the contact center. The contact center receives the electronic consent, stores the electronic consent in an electronic consent database, where the electronic consent is associated with the telephone number of a mobile device used by the user to provide the electronic consent. The contact center may then retrieve the electronic consent prior to originating another call to the individual, and may further update the electronic consent based on requests from the individual to withdraw consent. In some embodiments, the electronic consent may be generated by the mobile device in response to the user reading a two-dimensional code using the mobile device using an appropriate mobile application.

Abstract: A command set and associated capabilities are defined for a speech analytics component (“SAC”) in a call center. The speech analytics component is used to monitor speech of an agent and a remote party on a call for the purpose of determining whether the agent is complying with various call center policies or applicable regulations. The command set allows the call handler to instruct the SAC to load a keyword set into memory for future use, apply the keyword set to an indicated call and for an indicated party, to remove use of the keyword set, and to release the keyword set from memory. This allows the SAC to monitor speech as required for a particular context, which is known to the call handler, but not necessarily by the SAC. In this way, efficient use of the SAC processing resource is obtained for various call contexts.

Abstract: An event associated with a communication session between a first party and a second party is detected. The event is related to the communication session. For example, the event may be a phrase spoken in the communication session or a presentation of a call progression screen to a contact center agent. At this point, the communication session is analyzed for a period of non-communication that meets a defined threshold during a monitoring period associated with the event. If a period of non-communication is detected that is longer than the threshold during the monitoring period, the period of non-communication is flagged. The flagged period of non-communication can then be used to evaluate how a contact center agent is performing.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing multi-tenant callback services may be provided via a multi-tenant services integration platform. Several multi-tenant software as a service applications may be offered as a hosted software solution via the multi-tenant services integration platform. Various applications may deploy and support a shared tenant and shared services environment where there can be many different customers (companies and users) running in their own virtual partition from a single application instance. The applications may be multi-tenant aware and integrated into an administration portal which integrates several shared tenant services. The tenant model may allow for customized application configurations to be run from a single application instance. Further, improved methods for providing callback management, calculating estimated wait times, and providing for callback initiation may be integrated in such multi-tenant services.

The method comprises maintaining a queue of logged-in service representatives, and, in response to receiving a service request for a new assignment, scanning the queue to determine a subset of potential service representatives to assign the new assignment to. A corresponding workload level of each service representative of the subset is the smallest among all service representatives of the queue. For each service representative of the subset, a corresponding anxiety level is determined based on physiological sensor data captured by a wearable tracking device attached to the service representative. The new assignment is assigned to a service representative of the subset, the service representative having a corresponding anxiety level that is the smallest among all service representatives of the subset.

Abstract: In general, techniques are described for facilitating usage monitoring control in mobile networks. A mobile gateway comprising one or more processors and a memory may be configured to perform the techniques. The one or more processors may be configured to transmit a usage monitoring report indicative of usage of a service provided via a session for which usage monitoring was previously activated. The memory may be configured to store a monitoring key that was configured as a result of activating the usage monitoring for the service. The one or more processors may also be configured to, in response to the indication to deactivate the usage monitoring, remove the monitoring key that was configured as a part of activating the usage monitoring for the session.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating charging data records for commercial group-based messages broadcast by a telecommunications network to a group of subscribers are provided. In one aspect, a network element of a telecommunications network is configured to identify individual user devices that successfully received and processed a message that was broadcast over the telecommunications network to a target group of user devices. The identification of the particular devices in the target group of devices that successfully received and processed the broadcast message is used for generating sender based charging or sender-plus-receiver based charging data records for the subscribers of the telecommunication network.
